  1. The moaning contingent make me wonder what planet they are on, let’s get some perspective.

Sold Ono for a few million, a youngster with potential but who has not developed further in the last year and replaced with a much older defender on only a years contract for free. It’s a stop gap cover signing replacing another cover defender unless he uproots trees.

The Korean International is another stop gap signing to potentially cover Sarg or replace Idah if he fails. Comparing scoring records can be misleading, for instance some of his playing time was on the wing.

lastly the permanent free signing of a young striker from Man City who could prove to be a gem or fail but that applies to all the U21 squad.

lastly as I said in a previous post why moan now when most of us have limited knowledge of the new players unless you get a kick out of being negative ? If after a few weeks they all appear to be poor signings then moan away to your hearts content but give the poor sods a chance !

It’s a strange argument to claim I am desperate for us to fail because I want to see decent signings?

If I really wanted failure I would cheer the dross we have looked to sign today because it would bring about what I desire. As it happens I want us to succeed- and that requires a decent replacement for both sarge and Omo- and we haven’t signed either. We have cashed in and gone for profit instead

I don’t understand you can have such a solid negative opinion on the new players signed until you actually see them play,  providing of course that you do watch the team live.
If after a few weeks they appear poor signings then all well and good, criticise to your hearts content.

But for goodness sake give them a chance !

  3. I am not a massive fan of Webber myself but I find it totally absurd how some on here can turn any situation Into an anti Webber debate of drivel. I don’t blame him for wanting to leave, I’m amazed he has put up with some of our delinquent fans for so long.

Despite the many mistakes he has made in the last three years he has had an excellent transfer window and deserves some credit, not that I would expect the anti Webber brigade to give him an inch of credit.

  4. I just wondered if there are many more making the trip over to Germany ?

Although I’m only going to the Kaiserslautern game I’m staying in Darmstadt which is ironic as they play there first.

i can’t imagine too many fans going although there maybe a few like me making it a short break over the weekend ?

  5. I was just interested in how many people are likely to make the trip to Germany next month ?

When City were last there I went to just the schalke game and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. I clearly remember being on a train going to the game with a large contingent of Germans who were off to a darts match and they shared their food and alcohol with me. After the game schalke and City Fans all mixed together on the bus going back to the train station.

i decided to go again this year and again will take in just the one game, the Saturday match. I would have considered both especially as it’s Darmstadt but had already booked my flight. In hindsight it’s probably better just the one game for me as two games would have been a bit of a drag plus especially as I will be alone. Also I noticed the flights have now increased enormously since I booked so had I waited the cost would have been much more.

One final memory of the schalke game was standing on the terrace drinking German beer in the sunshine, hopefully that will be replicated !

  6. Apologies if this question has been asked but does anyone have an inkling to when and where City’s game in Germany will be ?

Apart from near the Germany/ Austria border I’ve not seen any other info.

I went to the Shaulke game a few years ago and throughly enjoyed the trip but unfortunately the later the details are announced the costlier an air

    ticket will cost to buy.

  7. Personally although I think the price is probably too steep and playing on S/T holders generous loyalty too much the main reason IMO is COVID.

While nearing a vaccine roll out no one wants to catch the virus or spread it too love ones and the elderly in the community.

Also the (quite necessary) regimented way of entering & leaving the stadium with long waits has probably added to the lack of

interest when most of the games for S/T holders are available free to watch at home.

Being a S/T holder I have not requested any tickets for a multitude of reasons, some listed above however with my Father passing away two months ago my interest in my beloved club has waned, it was one of many topics we regularly discussed & I sorely miss those interactions. Maybe my desire to return to CR will rekindle one day.

  8. During yesterday's game I couldn't help but watch him chirping away with the City's fans while warming up.

He seemed to enjoy himself with a continued grin on his face.

Was anyone in earshot as to what he was saying ?

Whatever it was he certainly had plenty to say.

  9. Now that Germany has finally been officially announced I really dont understand why City cannot advise fans of the venues ?

Its the same as last year, we just got "drip fed" information, then it's too late for fans like me to buy a cheap flight to watch a game or two.

Other teams in the Premier League, and I'm not thinking of the supposed "bigger teams" seem to have no issue releasing the"full" details of their club tours.

Maybe because there is no money in it for the Club there is no incentive ?

  10. As there has been no official announcement has anyone heard "through the grapevine " about the friendly games in the summer, specifically if the Club are touring Germany again ?

i ask because last season I wanted to buy a cheap budget airline flight to Germany for a couple of days to watch a game then fly back. Unfortunately the full details of the matches (timings, venue) were released by the Club so late that flights were too expensive to purchase.

I would really like to go this year if they are off to Germany again !

I've contacted the Club but as usual I didn't get any help whatsoever.

I know many fans who made the trip last year went over by car but as I will be travelling alone it's preferable for me to fly, but only if I have the time to purchase a cheap flight.

Not clever - and unlikely to be a ‘put a sock in it’ message. Certain goal celebrations have become irksome, and running at opposition fans with your finger to your lips could be interpreted as inciteful. Far more worthy of a booking than ripping your shirt off in celebration.

So a Player should be booked for "running at the opposition fans with a finger to their lips" ?

However fans can shout any amount of vile abuse at opposition players without expecting any sort of retribution ?

    i really despair !

Some people these days are easily offended by anything yet still expect to "dish out" whatever they like.

I live in Nottingham - If they won't post to NR postcode, then I don't mind if you want to get it sent here - I'm going to the game so can give it you then. PM me if you need to do that and I'll give you my number/address etc.

Thanks for the offer, I've sent you a PM.

  13. Apologies but I forgot to add my mobile number just in case anyone does end up with a spare ticket (07761107990)

One further question, when I often attended away games in the past it was easy to get in to the home śection if City's allocation was fully taken, how easy is it to do these days, particularly at WBA ? I'm thinking of trying this if I'm unsuccessful getting an away section ticket but don't want to travel all that way without gaining entry into the ground.

This is of course assuming the game isn't a sell out.

  14. Despite being told yesterday afternoon by NCFC Box Office that there were plenty of WBA tickets available I found this morning when I went to buy they had sold out.

Lesson: Don't rely on everything the Box Oofice staff say.

If any fan finds they have a spare ticket between now and the game please let me know and I will happily pay the full cost of the ticket.

i live just five miles from Norwich so I can pick up anywhere in the Norwich area.

    Thanks
