1. We know we have been squeezing in extra seats over the last couple of years or so putting our capacity upto 27,000 ish but doesnt anybody know how many more seats or if we have put a stand in front of the hotel and what our supposed capacity is actually going to be this year?
2.
£15 - no idea how many we''ve sold but the club Twitter say they''re expecting a good turn-out for a friendly.
Thanks
3. How many have we sold and how much for adult tickets?  Cheers
4. Really glad we didnt sign him/in for him, 225 games and 26 goals thats a pretty poor record for a so called striker!
5. I am not the manager nor have I seen him play so yes he might well turn out to be an inspired signing.  However for some posters to slag off other posters for having an opinion on this for feeling its a unispiring and a surprising signing given its also on a 4 year deal an opinion based on simple facts is a tad unfair.  Last year was a fantastic year for us and we all want to see us progress as a club, we have come so far and we dont want to blow it now and no one is suggesting we should be signing players like Messi to compete more that it should be young players up and coming with potential or even proven quality players that will add and improve on what at present is still a good squad.  Unfortunately I dont see Whittaker as either, however if its as an experience older head to help out the younger players then fine but again why 4 years?  Just because hes free and cheap isnt a good enough reason for me we have in the past gone down this route with predictable results.  As I have said before I am not the manager and I will trust his judgement on this but dont shoot me down for thinking the same as an awful lot of other people.  Question, do we really need to sign 7/8 players with a mix of squad players as well as first team players (personally I think we have enough squad type players) or 3/4 players that you expect to go into the starting 11 which in turn will strenghten the bench and the squad.  I know what road I would perfer, but thats just my opinion.
6.

I cant believe hes been signed as a first choice right back, therefore, logically he is a squad player/stop gap which begs the question why have we signed him on a 4 year contract?  Apart from Ruddy who has just resigned for 4 years who else have we in recent times signed for 4 years?
Pilkington But he was what only 22?
7.
To be fair to both Hughton and this new signing, the comparison should be with 2 middling members of our squad from last season who have now left, namely Drury and Whitbread, and not with a high-class performer like Naughton.   Whittaker can play in far more positions than both Drury & Whitbread , arguably has a better injury record than both, and probably costs no more in wages.   Those unhappy with this signing should bear in mind that we will almost certainly get in a first-choice RB later in this window, as well as a CB, possibly a LB, and at least one striker. The transfer costs saved with this freebie mean that we will be able to bid higher amounts on those positions and/or be more attractive wage-wise to possible recruits.   On that basis, what''s not to like? [/quote I fully understand what your saying but if you believe we are getting in a new LB, CB, RB then why do we need him. We already have Alya, Bennet, Ward, Barnet, Tierney, Martin, Francombe plus Whittaker and 3 others that would give us 10 defensive players but even if you think we do why 4 years?
8. I cant believe hes been signed as a first choice right back, therefore, logically he is a squad player/stop gap which begs the question why have we signed him on a 4 year contract?  Apart from Ruddy who has just resigned for 4 years who else have we in recent times signed for 4 years?  I will not slag the player off before I have even seen him play, however I am concerned at the level of the SPL, of a player who''s never played in the English leagues let alone the Premier League, a player that no one is saying is a world beater in fact more often than not the opposite but will still be here at 32?  Personally I would much rather we signed only players that we truelly believe are better than what we have got, as I do think we have a good squad already, so realistically that might mean signing only 3/4 players but quality players.  We already have squad players like Lappin, Crofts etc (no disrespect meant here) why would we want more if we are serious about getting established as a premier league side? We need to keep improving the squad year in year out just to stay in this league.  Not convinced but very willing to be proved wrong regardless of the obviously wonderful signings to come over the horizon!
9. Wind up or not you wonder why people from Norfolk get called carrot crunchers, insular etc?
10. "Its a local forum for local people, we dont like foreigners here!"
11. On a separate note who''s going to win Monday? How do you rate your chances? We are shit and we know we are!
12. Any French players worth taking a punt on?
13. I dont get why so many people are getting wound up?  LOSCLuc me old mate the big fella is Grant Holt but hes put in a transfer so there''s a bit of turmoil over him at present, you could buy if you like for around 6 mill but you will have to pay him well and give him a 3 year contract.
14. Have you heard of any of our players?  If so are there any you rate or are rated by your fellow fans?
15. I like this game so I''m going to play to.  LOSCLuc what do you know about Norwich?  Are we regarded as a real premier team or a team thats over achieved and ended up in the premier but are unlikely to stay there?  Or even a team on the up with lots of potential that could firmly establish itself in the premier, challenge for a cup or possibly Europe?  Do you have any idea where Norwich is England?  I only ask because if Lambert had decided to go to a team I knew nothing about I would be curious as to why, hence the questions about Norwich, as your manager is already managing a club that has/is achieving more than us in its respective league.
16.

I''ve heard this from an ex Norwich player: Holt is on a basic of £16K p/w, plus bonuses. He is the joint highest paid player. They offered him an increase of £4K to £20K again, plus bonuses.
And McNally said - “We haven’t had any discussions yet with any player/agent who has time left on their contract. This is entirely normal at this stage." “The article in today’s Sun is completely inaccurate and incorrect. There has been no offer made to any in contract player, at this stage." “I repeat, no new deal has been discussed with any in contract player, including Grant. The figures in the Sun article are wildly inaccurate.
If you take what McNally has said as true (I can see no reason or benefit to lie).  1) There has been no other clubs in for him at this point.  2)  If they havent even had contract discussions then it cant be just about the money (unless, see point 2 below) Which leaves only 2 other options in my mind.  1)  There has been a falling out of some kind  2)  That he feels he could possibly attract a bigger club with the potential to win things/get paid more money or a club that he thinks will offer him far more money than Norwich ever will, which in turn would set him up for life.  I hope that helps?!
17.

Well said Morty. Either way, if he does want to leave on more money, that elusive signing on fee to set up him, his family, his two kids, and we can''t match it, thats perfectly fine by me. We have done lots for him, but he has more than paid us back. We would not be in the Premiership without him. That''s my opinion, but i don''t think there is a more elusive leader than him for us. Certainly not in the past 3 years. Especially not when we got relegated to League One. He is and always will be a legend. He has earnt that status. If an Everton, Spurs or whoever will offer him double wages and a good signing fee, then i wish him the best of luck and thank him for doing so much in the past 3 seasons. If he does stay, i welcome him with open arms.
This pretty much sums up exactly how I feel about the situation. The knee jerk reactions here today have been frankly embarrassing.
18. Im sorry but whether or not you believe Morison can be bother or not yesterday he was completely isolated with no other Norwich player anywhere near him.  When we played it long to him he had no outlet and was surrounded by 3/4 Liverpool players.  Whenever we broke forward how many options were available for the player with the ball?  Our defensive frailties have returned with a vengence and we seem to have run out of ideas, we look very laboured with no cutting edge.  However I am sure the quality we need to progress and improve will be brought in in the summer there was always going to be a limited to how far/much Lambert could get out of our current squad when you consider where most of them came from.
19. I did notice Pilkington standing out wide a number of times but seemingly ignored when he could have been played in.
20. I think we have hit a bit of a brick wall recently (Tottenham with standing) we seem to have run out of ideas and our defencive frailties have come back to haunt us.
21. Totally agree with this, we pass the ball nicely without hurting teams, keeping possession is essential in this league but there needs to be an end product and teams will allow you to pass the ball around in front of them if they know your not going to hurt them.  We are not quick, decisive, inventive or creative enough, we knock it around nicely enough without creating any real threats until we lose possession them all of sudden the opposition gets the ball and 9 times put of 10 does something with it.
22. It would of course be a real shame with Vaughan if he had to retire from the game because of constant injury problems without ever realising his potential, Ashton at least got to play a bit at the highest level.  I hope for his sake he does come back fitter and stronger being so young, but still, you have got to admit its a worry that hes hardly played at all, maybe 50 games?
23.

Apparently Vaughan''s problem is a hamstring (usually between 2 and 4 weeks, depending on severity). It''s not unusual when you come back from a bad injury to get a "compensation" strain, because you subconsciously protect the injury site and overstress an adjoining area. Calf and hamstring problems are common following knee injuries ( been there, done that) and it shouldn''t be anything major. At least it''s not a knee problem!
Yeah me to, snapped achilles finally ended my footballing career, to many injuries never fully healed, if it wasnt one thing it would be another.  Trying to play football carrying injuries all the time is a right pain in the arse and as you say you do tend to over compensate to try and protect that particular injury only to pull something else.  I could have been a contender!!
Haha! It was various things with me. I still run at 55 but my hamstrings twang more than Hank Marvin''s guitar strings! Also have chronic arthritis in my left ankle where I snapped a tendon off the bone. Still, if you''d told me then that I''d end up with so many aches and pains I''d still have played football every chance I got![:D]
I''d still play now even though I''m 46 if my missus would let me!
