1. Unfortunately I''ve never been to a game between us and Sunderland, but have heard much about the ''friendship trophy'' that is played for each season we''re in the same league.I was just wondering if it made much difference to the fans/atmosphere at the game, or if the whole thing is a bit hyped up?  For example, is there a bit more mingling between home and away fans before/after the game?  Generally more of a friendly game type atmosphere?
2. Mine not arrived yet either...won''t be much of a season preview at this rate!
3. Not sure how relevant it is but the current price of a share in Southampton FC is a whopping 9.5p
4.
The only new fact , for me anyway, was that the only decent signing with any future potential was scouted by a the new not old head of player recruitment. Time for Dixie as manager then.. oh already been ther...
I thought Cody Mac was reccomended by a friend of Paul Stephenson before he left?
5. Why has Bertrand been dropped? Can''t see anything about him being injured anywhere.  If I was Korey Smith my pants would be well and truly papped right now...no pressure son
6. Thanks MIA.  You don''t have to answer, but does that mean in your opinion that Doncaster is the main man responsible for the club''s problems (if you personally blame the board?).Also if Delia and Michael still have power, can they override Doncaster at all?  Is he under "employment" by them?
7. Serious answers please (unless they''re really funny).Excuse the ignorance, but what exactly is the main role of each person on the board?  I know who they are, I know their title, but what is each member responsible for, who takes a salary (and how much?!) and how involved are each individual (Delia for example has books to write too...).  Do people hold ''the board'' as a whole responsible for the mess the club finds itself in, or are some people more responsible than others?  If there was a complete overhaul at the top, are there any members people would want to stay?Just trying to understand exactly what goes on, and maybe that will help me grasp what has gone wrong (perhaps). Thanks
8. Any ideas why it''s not sung like that any more?
9. Just been listening to this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPVn9eLOkF0&feature=relatedDoes anyone know when this version died out and the modern ''chanted'' version began?  Is anyone old enough to remember the old version?  Seems to me that 24,000 people singing the older version of OTBC would make the hairs stand up on anyone''s neck...wonder why it''s not done anymore?  I reckon singing that just before kick-off, like you''ll never walk alone at Anfield, should really stir up players and fans alike...but perhaps I''m just old fashioned
10. Just a quick question to anyone who may know...Would Gunn be allowed to take over permanently even if he/board wanted him to?  Only reason I ask is because of the special dispensation that has had to be given to the likes of Southgate due to not having the adequate coaching badges etc.  Does Gunn have these badges? If not, does he need them for champ or is it just a prem thing?  If he doesn''t have them, but does need them, it would seem unlikely imo that he would be given special dispensation for the job.  Any ideas?
11.
i''m not sure away to Southampton on a tuesday night in january is very hopeful
home to southampton...although their away record is pretty good tbh, still reckon its a very winnable game...especially if we have a new bloke in charge by then
12.
Kaka is obviusly not to blame here in what I''m about to say because the money has been put infront of him but....How (in today''s current global economical climate) can one person playing a game take home the rumoured £500,000 a week!!!!!!
Anyone remember a couple of years ago when Risse''s pay check was leaked to the press...£80K a week, minus £30K tax.If my maths is right, and Kaka would pay the same % tax thats £190K a week in tax!!!!!
13.
I think we need to know whos in charge first And if all the players that were injured on tuesday are magically fit again but i would have: Marshall Omosuzi Doc Grounds Drury Croft Clingan Patty Lappin Cureton Lupoli Subs: Rudd Otsemobor russell hoolahan cort
good shout with Rudd in for Nelson on the bench...don''t think Nelson will ever play for us (contract up end of this season I think?) and so think we might as well start getting rudd involved on matchdays a bit more.at least that way we can get his value up a little and sell him on just before his England call-up
14.
Southampton don''t have any money to buy him if  they had any money why send garanted goal scorer stern jon out on loan when they could just recall him and pay his wages.
I hope you''re right, I''m at uni in southampton and know a few saints fans who would be unbearable if it happened...as if being the only team they''ve managed to beat at home wasn''t bad enough
15.
if its boothroyd , me for one would be chuffed to bits .
same...although to be honest I''d be happy with the majority of names being touted apart from Dowie, don''t know what it is but I just can''t stand him
