A guy on Facebook thinks that the tickets won't make general sale - are there really 3,500 in tiers 1 to 4 interested enough to mop up those tickets?

I would be surprised if we even sell out tbh - away support has fallen off a cliff recently.

Yep, and as I just posted in another thread:

Smith's job couldn't be safer, and those who went early on making out he'd have us midtable are doubling-down on their stupidity at the moment, and bemoaning 'style of play'.

Our style of play yesterday was incredibly similar to our style of play during Farkes last title win.

    03/11/20 - Norwich 0 - 0 Millwall (62% posession, 85% pass accuracy, almost identical to yesterday)

    28/11/20 - Norwich 1 - 1 Coventry (Norwich penalty) (64% possession, 9 shots in total, Coventry had 13)

    02/12/20 - Luton 3 - 1 Norwich (68% posession, 85% pass accuracy)

The only people who are making out like there's literally zero style of play etc are the one's who went in early on Smith, because he wasn't Farke.

Seriously? Farke's second title win was a bit more dogged but still absolute night and day compared to the guff on display last night (and most of this season) which was just so disjointed and utterly dull.

No, but if youre going to demand something it 100% is your responsibility to understand the potential repercussions, which they most certainly did not. They also stopped as soon as questioned.

    What a hero!

  4. It’s a minor point in the grand scheme of things but have found it a bit odd that Smith has not once come over to the fans after a game - perhaps we were spoilt with Farke but a bit of appreciation would be nice. That, along with comments such as this, isn’t a great way to go about enamouring yourself with a new fanbase.

    You're wrong. Simple as.

Erm, no he isn’t. As much as I loved Wes, there is a reason that the best club Wes played for was Norwich, whilst Emi will play Champions League football (and no, not because of loyalty).  A different league.

  6. Solely looking at ourselves, I believe that we can string some wins together and have a much better second half of the season. The main concern in terms of our survival hopes is finding 3 teams we'll finish above. Watford have got going under Pearson, Southampton improved, West Ham will surely have enough to drag them away from the mire and the  dull likes of Burnley/Newcastle will likely grind enough home wins. Got a keen eye on Bournemouth, and Villa will be down there, but not sure of a 3rd.

We were correct not to give into Wednesday's excessive demands for the player so it's water under the bridge.

However, I couldn't resist thinking that JR might, just might have been useful in rescuing a point in that last fifteen against Chelsea and there is no doubting that his goal scoring threat would, yes would, have made a difference last night.

To those in the know: Was Adam Idah a slight disappointment last night? It did seem the perfect stage for him to make an  effective impact.

ALSO: Probably more important too, just how good did Amadou (?) look at first sighting. Reports of his impact upon the game seem rather suppressed.

Drmic's injury seems to be hanging around, he's hardly kicked a ball in anger yet.

A lot of set-backs to our hopes lately. A point against West Ham might help restore confidence as a bit of a 'backs to the wall' mentality seems to be gathering speed.

Not getting much praise, but I quite liked what I saw. Strong, powerful and comfortable on the ball. Not saying much, but he was definitely one of our better performers despite the odd moment of understandable rustiness. I think I would certainly feel more comfortable with him patrolling in front of the back 4 than Trybull.

Harsh to judge Idah, but I was a bit disappointed. Scuffed a couple of decent half chances and wasn't massively involved. Certainly not the worst performer out there though - think Mario and Kenny would be fighting out for that one.

Farke made 10 changes for the Stevenage game compared to the WBA and Sheff U game either side of it last season - I wouldn't be surprised to see that level of changes for the game tonight.

Fahrmann, Bryam, Roberts, McLean, Srbeny, Vrancic seem certs to start for me. I think Amadou will start at centre back and Tettey in midfield, but depends on how Farke sees his progress in training.

If Norwich get a couple of rounds deeper into the cup I would expect fewer and fewer changes from league games.

Tettey isn't in the squad tonight - family reasons. Suspect that means Amadou in CDM, hope he impresses.

  9. It’s surely got to be time for Amadou, especially with how exposed our midfield looked yesterday? Can see Farke going for Tettey/Vrancic combo though.

    Fahrmann

    Byram, Klose, Hanley, Heise

    Vrancic, Amadou

    Roberts, Cantwell, McLean

    Srbeny

I know it’s only the cup but still can’t see Farke throwing Idah straight into the starting line-up. Lack of wing options without Onel.

  10. Always felt the attacking side of Lewis' game was a bit lacking but it seems to have come on leaps and bounds recently, particularly his dribbling (his crossing could still improve). I actually think he has the attributes to go further than Max (obvious physical advantage, what an athlete), despite him receiving a lot less of the limelight. Looks at home in the PL.

  11. Got Day 4 tickets, so was pretty happy to see yesterday washed out. Just hope there is enough play between now and then, and that the game develops fairly quickly, so that it's not just petering out for a draw come Saturday. Can always rely on England's batting to oblige!

In a normal world Trading Standards would now have a pile of complaints on their desk and would be carrying out an investigation, there would also probably be letters to that BBC programme. However we love our club and that’s the reason this is not happening. Just as a warning though Mr Ben someone will snap eventually and report the club or indeed trading standards will pick up on social media. It is illegal in this country to charge somebody to buy something they can’t have due to over subscription.

I paid £30 for 'Super Membership' for a good number of years and was sometimes unable to get tickets for home games - intrigued to know how this is any different, other than being a bit more expensive? Pretty sure the new membership scheme didn't come with a guarantee of a ticket for every game, just like the old super membership didn't.

haven't been able to make the first 2 games anyway but this looks like an absolute nightmare. I only hope Burnley isn't as popular and I can sneak away at work to get the tickets sorted. It's only an hour from me as well. If I dont get those I think I'll be asking for my money back.

You will be fine for Burnley - I doubt it will even sell out. In fact, after these first couple of games, I think it'll be fairly easy to get tickets for most games. Unfortunately for the club two of the most popular away games have been first up, which has only exacerbated the unpopularity of the scheme.
