1. I am worried by the lack of news regarding potential signings. Don''t think we should look at it like with have a month befor pre season we should be looking at it like we only have 4 weeks till pre season. Look what happened last season we where in the Orem we had a shocking pre season and it ended badly. We should have already bought in our potential targets and training already and gelling together. Watford have better squad and improving it with the double loan signing of Tottenham duo. I hope we aren''t going for the cheapest rout and try and squeeze through by the skin of our teeth (Tin hat on)
2. Great post. I would like to pick up on the point regarding that most fans look at creativity and i am 100% in agreement and find it a little annoying at times and hard to argue against as they disregard there other duties as a player. Which brings me to Wes. Although he can be a great threat going forward his lack of defensive ability and physical strength at the top level is asking for trouble. Also with the fact that Redmond assisted and scored more goals than Wes I feel we have a replacement if Redmond can indeed play in that "number 10" role. I do feel that wes is now past his best (I release the wes fans will be laughing but again this regards my first 2 points)
3.
Who is the first and only player to have scored in the Premier League, Championship, League 1, League 2, FA Cup, League Cup, Football League Trophy, FA Trophy, eat a tray of donuts in 10 minutes and fit a Bridgestone. 205/50R16 87W on a Ford Mondeo before his coffee break.
Good luck fitting that particular tyre on a mondeo (former mechanic just being a nerd lol)
4.

Andreus not going to leave is he as AN has only just bought him in and he thinks highly of him. I would probably ship out: Bunn Miguel Garrido Becchio RVW R.Bennet Turner E.Bennet seems to have started to come back in the squad and think he will make a good back up in a couple of places. Defence for me needs strengthening quite a lot as let''s not forget the 60+ goals nearly the same back 4 conceded only 2 seasons ago in the prem.
Yeah, the defense wasn''t the issue. The offense being the lowest scoring in the division without it being close was more the issue and BY FAR. Pair Bassong with someone that isn''t Michael Turner so he doesn''t have to COVER TWO CENTER BACK POSITIONS and it''ll be fine., In fact when he had to cover 2 CB positions it wasn''t that horrible. With any competent striker that year we stay up.
Oh I''m not debating that we where missing up top aswel we where woefull in all areas let''s be honest. For me though if we where going to play Hughtons way and keep the clean sheets and Nick a goal that back 4 wasn''t going to do it and they didn''t (obviously AN doesn''t play that way) but for the prem we need a better defence

7. Yep bassong for me with either whitts and Olsson a close second
8. He got batterd today by quite a few challenges, I think he''ll be fine.
9. Do we really need him? I don''t think so we already have 3 strikers that want to play week in week out and arguably all 3 are currently on form even if not 100% fit.
10. Dorrans is coming in on loan as long as Malumbu comes back to Westbrom math fit. Sky sports where reporting that Noone didn''t want to come here so unsure on his status. If I''m honest I would prefer the latter to come in, we shall see.
11.
Wes is past his best and offers little these days, been a great servant but we should have let him go after the Villa debacle last January.
Agree. bye wes
12. Stolen from another poster recently Turner - Played 22, conceded @ 1.32/game 1.5 pts per game Martin - Played 18, conceded @ 1.06/gme 1.5 ppg Cuellar - Played 7, conceded @ 1.29/game 1.9 ppg Hooiveld - Played 6, conceded @ 1.50/game 2.0 ppg Bennett - played 1, conceded @ 2.00/game 0.0 ppg I''ll have Cuellar as one of my first choice CB''s thanks and turner can be replaced
13.
Every manager comes in and tries to play without Wes. Every manager realises sooner or later that they need to bring him back into the side. i really, really hope that last weekend was the moment that dawned on Neil. The need is particularly acute given our midfield injuries at the moment but in my opinion we desperately need Wes in the side on saturday whether its in a 4-3-3 with jerome moving wide left or a 4-5-1 with one of the midfielders having to make way.
Really? During Adams reign more often than not we could only score once Wes had gone off. Wes was a good player however he is too light weight and is now well past his best
14.
Adding in the points per game won changes the dynamic a bit Turner - Played 22, conceded @ 1.32/game 1.5 pts per game Martin - Played 18, conceded @ 1.06/gme 1.5 ppg Cuellar - Played 7, conceded @ 1.29/game 1.9 ppg Hooiveld - Played 6, conceded @ 1.50/game 2.0 ppg Bennett - played 1, conceded @ 2.00/game 0.0 ppg Hooiveld despite conceding most goals gained us promotion winning points and team results are also better with cuellar. An alternative view is how we perform without a player at cb... Turner - Not played 5 conceded @ 1.0/game 2pts per game Martin - Not Played 15, conceded @ 1.7/gme 1.1 ppg Cuellar - Not Played 7, conceded @ 1.3/game 1.2 ppg Hooiveld - Not Played 6, conceded @ 1.20/game 1.2 ppg The screaming conclusion is that we should not be playing Turner this season, more goals conceded and fewest points gained while we improve markedly without him on both. Based on this we should stick with cuellar & Martin in the middle. If Bassong is to come back then it should be with one of them. Perhaps a back four of Martin Cuellar Bassong Garrido will work.
Been saying it all season! He''s a very poor defender yet people call him a rock?!

16. Left side has been a problem all season yet no one has rectified it getting a bit of a joke to be honest
17. Just thought the same, things may be looking up now. Looking forward to Saturday
18. For those not on Twitter; rob butlers tweet: @BobRutler: According to our BBC colleague @richaskam Mike Phelan has left #ncfc. Stay tuned.
19. He wasbt great when he came on today but you defiantly can''t right him off on yesterday''s apperiance. To be honest it looked as though he didn''t want to make a mistake and was trying to impress his new gaffer s bit to hard and led to him making mistakes. I think with AN who trusts his youth players the likes of Murphy will improve no end, it''s not a race with player development. I think a loan spell would help him get some game time and impress outside of the club.
20.
IF what is alleged to have happened between Bassong and Adams at the end of last season did happen then bassong was hugely out of order and I feel he should at least be asked to apologise to his team mates for the way he behaved. However he is a good player. Top professional players must be used to having team mates who are good players but have serious egos or even who are tw*ts but i am sure they respect them as players. If he can get back to the level we know he can perform at then he is a playing asset and ultimately the whole Bassong episode is an example of why it was so ludicrous to appoint Neil Adams as manager. It doesn;t make Bassong''s behaviour right but had we appointed a proper manager in the summer from outside of the club and with experience of managing adult players then i believe the whole situation would have been sorted out there and then.
It''s like any job, you will always have the guys you get on with really well and so their job or you will have the bell*nd''s that think they are above their current role and who know best. Maybe Bassong was right about Adams? Either way our new man has had a chat with him and he''s obviously willing to keep his head down and fight for the squad and if that''s the case then we now have a good CB to come back in our starting XI
21. I wohold imagine that our scout network e.t.c will have lined up several candidates for AN to look at. Not only that but their are 2 player at his former club that have touted with big moves, would be good to grab them with AN''s relationship with his former squad.
22. Yes. He is a solid CB and one that will improve the team overall asking as he is willing to fight for this club. Maybe with AN and Phelan he will see we have more of a chance of getting one of those elusive auto spots, Our promotion rivals obviously feel he''s good enough.
23. I never shave rated Bennett, but yesterday was a compleat my avoidable incident.
