Neil needs to go.
Jimmy Bone - Superstar replied to Keith Scott's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I think it''s more a case of if we want to change manager the timing of doing so is dictated by who is available and who we want to replace him with. I''ve thought for years that Steve Bruce would be an excellent manager for us, if we want him we may have to act now as delaying will result in him ending up somewhere else once the ''managerial merry go round'' starts. I''m also now wondering if we wouldn''t have been better giving the job to Mike Phelan when he was here, that''s hindsight though and who knows. My concern is that we will dither and dally until it''s too late and we are stuck with AN and no suitable alternatives. Bruce is available - he may not want to come here, but then again he might. -

Gestede or Vokes or someone of that ilk -

Now that Villa have nabbed McCormack from under our noses, why don''t we go for Gestede from them. I know he''s not a prolific striker but would be an excellent option at this level and the typical big man forward if we need to go long and from dead ball situations. Still think we would need another prolific striker to go with this though. I think Gusted turned us down last year which could maybe be a stumbling block but seems like the sort of player we need. -

I meant to add that I still want us to get McCormack but think we probably need 2 new strikers. The important thing with whoever we sign is that they are good enough and have enough goals in them to get us up. Nothing else really matters. -

Did anyone get to see Rod the Mod at Carra last night? If so, what was it like, any good?

I think that Birmingham get 15% of any profit that we make on him not 15% of the fee? -

My dear Mum met the great man when he came to Norwich for a store opening in St Stephens in the early seventies. That started my interest in him and respect for a great human being. Will be sadly missed. RIP Great Man -

And what about me? I was sold to Sheff Utd just before the final to be replaced by you! It ain''t fair -
This is the revised team based on the same criteria as the original but taking appearances into account. Not too much different but Howson drops out and is replaced by O''Neil and maybe the biggest surprise is Bennett out and Wisdom in. Ruddy Wisdom Bassong Martin Brady Redmond O''Neil Tettey Hoolahan Jerome Mbokani Subs: Rudd Whittaker Olsson Dorrans Bennett Howson Jarvis

Howson was excellent again today but we still have the same issue even after this great performance - where are the goals coming from to keep us up? -
I agree with your Klose statement Borbyn but as I stated in my original post, the January signings are at a disadvantage, I also said that this isn''t the team that I would select now, it is just to show, taking our positive results, (wins, draws and goals) what our most successful team this season would look like.
-
No nbs, I just put them in this formation as the players that were eligible for the team based on the points scored would best fit this formation - e.g. Jerome and Mbokani both qualified so were put together up front. As I stated in the original post, this wouldn''t necessarily be the team I would pick today or for the rest of the season, it was just to illustrate a point. I also wouldn''t have Wes wide left of a midfield 4 but it''s the only place I could fit him in this team.

I was wondering what our best team would be based on results this season. The following is based on 3 points for starting a winning match, 1 point for starting a drawn match, 2 points for scoring a goal in any match and 1 point for coming on as a sub in a winning match. This is what the team would look like based on this: Ruddy Martin Bennett Bassong Brady Redmond Howson Tettey Hoolahan Jerome Mbokani Subs - Rudd O''Neil Olsson Dorrans Wisdom Whittaker Jarvis Obviously the January signings haven''t had a full season to accumulate points but our recent form hasn''t helped them either. I''m not suggesting that this is the team that we should put out but thought it might be interesting. Below is the full list of players and points scored: Hoolahan 34 Brady 31 Redmond 30 Howson 28 Martin 27 Tettey 26 Bassong 26 Jerome 25 Mbokani 17 Ruddy 15 O''Neil 15 Bennett 14 Olsson 12 Rudd 10 Dorrans 10 Wisdom 8 Whittaker 8 Jarvis 7 Naismith 3 Odjidja 2 Mulumbu 2 Klose 2 Maybe also a case for Wes as Player of the Season?

Who do you think you are? idiot -
Could Harry Redknapp be persuaded to have one more fling at the Premier League and be persuaded to have a go at keeping us up? Would he and could he?
