1. Welcome to the board. Obviously depends on what sort of budget you''ve got, but if it were up to me i''d go for Trowse. Sprowston''s a fairly average suburb, Trowse is a Village with a Village feel, but only 20 mins walk from the city centre. Plus it''s right next to Whitlingham Country Park and the Broads. Commute to Sprowston for your work won''t be particulary bad. 15-20 mins each way at the most in traffic.
 2. Well if you want to watch a Lambert team, the address is: Villa Park, Trinity Road, Birmingham, West Midlands B6 6HE and the cretinous morons who haven''t given Hughton a chance since he''s been here are more than welcome to bugger off there. And just to whet your appetite, here are some views from the Villa fans on Lambert: "Lambert is the worst tactician I have ever seen. You are right, this is worse, a lot worse. Chanting his name is embarrasing, his transfer policy, his selections, his man mangement and his tactics are pathetic. He is even starting to come across like a copmplete tit in his press conferences now. No wonder he cant get a perfomance from the team, he has got to be one of the most depressing and uninspiring people I have ever heard speak. He is way out of his depth and he knows it" "Really? None whatsoever? One could argue that he hasn''t been able to change the team or tactics much due to injuries, but one could also argue that he had an entire summer to bring in some new faces and decided to buy a load of youngsters who have never played at the top level in any country, let alone the Premier League. What was he thinking when he bought so many youngsters? We could all see we needed more mature and experienced players thrown into the mix. I''m not saying being a football manager is easy, far from it, but having a mixed squad of youth, experience and quality is just common sense. I really think this could have been avoided, poor form Lambert." "I think relegation is looing more and more likely as the weeks go by, and our crap players and crap manager can''t really do anything about it. Like one extremely long, drawn out car crash with a muppet at the wheel." "I''m just back from VP and hand on heart that is sadly the worst Villa side I have seen in 25 years. There is no hiding from it." "I''m sorry, but were there no other players in world football who PL could have bought instead of a bunch of lower league players!? Surely there was some experience who could have helped to steady the ship this season. Lambert''s transfer policy and his shite formations are costing us." "It''s all on Lambert. He should have bought an extra CB in summer. His other buys should have been better. He shouldn''t have stuck with a broken formation that already caused us to concede 12 in two games. He should give at least some minor impression that he knows what he''s doing. Bottom line, he should have these players playing better. He''s not good enough." Plenty more where those came from...
 3. Why would anyone care what United fans think of us. Other than that core group of fans that live in Salford, Manchester or the surrounding environs and sit in the Stretford end, the rest of there fan base are a bunch of glory hunting w**kers. Think what it says about them and there attitude to life that they had to choose a team with constant success. That should tell you what sort of people they are and also what sort of clueless opinions they are bound to hold.
 4. Nice to see a voice of sanity on here Jim. Well said, agree with every word.
 5. This sums it up nicely: http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/263283-explained-eligibility-of-cup-tied-players-in-uefa-competitions/ So if Anderlect beat AEL on Wednesday in the 2nd leg of there play off in Brussels which is highly probable, Biglia will be cup tied from all European competitions.
 6.

I have zero inside knowledge about whether Biglia will sign for us or not, but can I just point out the whole thing about European Football this season is a complete irrelevance. Biglia has now played CL Football for Andelecht this season which means he is now cup-tied from all European Football for any other team.
A very good point, although would he be banned from the Europa League as well as the Champions League?
I believe it''s all European Football, unless the rules been changed.

Currently 2-1 in the first leg of the play off between them and AEL.

 9. Well I guess some of the bitterness is justifiable, just how we currently feel about Lambert. Hilarious about the attendance though. If they could only average 25000 in the Prem with a 30000 seater stadium, what makes them think they are a potential 40k average club? Atleast we have the excuse that we''re sold out each week, so can''t fit anymore in...
 10.
Can''t help but think a compromise should have been reached long ago, perhaps a one- year extension clause or something. But that isnt really the point - it is far more than this now: the club captain and his agent throwing their toys about, when we are in ''crisis mode'', is just not remotely clever....the pair look like a couple of to55ers more than anything.
Yeah, now it looks like Holt''s decision is not related to Lambert, it makes his timing look even worse... Complete kick in the balls for fans who are rightly devastated about Lambert leaving.
 11.
Grant Holt will be just turned 33 when his current deal expires. Just turned 34 with a year extension. Considering Drogba is 34, Henry 35, Shearer retired at 35, Kevin Davies is 35 and signed a year extension. If this really is over a single year extension then McNally is being extremely short sighted.
Mmm no. He''s not being short sighted at all, far from it infact, he''s being incredibly long sighted. He quite rightly doesn''t want the club to get stuck with a 34 year old, costing us close to a million a year, with fading fitness, who is no longer banging in the goals in a Norwich team that could potentially be plying it''s trade back in the Championship. If Holt is still banging them in in 2 years time and his fitness is still there, there is no problem sitting down with him and signing a year extension is there? The way Holt and his agent have gone about this has been very poor to say the least...
 12.
Not for me. We really must try and aim a bit higher. I just feel that we need a big character to give the players a real boost but also show our club means to progress. Thank goodness for our Chairman and Chief Exec. I trust they will continue what they have started and we are not back to the bad old days of Manager recruitment. It wouldn''t surprise me if they have someone targeted and it may not be anyone mentioned so far on this board. I have to say that the mention of Malky is quite depressing.
Who are we going to get that''s bigger than Hughton at the minute? And please don''t say Rafa, because it just isn''t going to happen... Agree about Malky though..
 13. Hughton would be my number 1 choice. Excellent young manager. Newcastle sacking was one of the bizarrest in Football. Hoping the club are now making moves for him...
 14. Ummm, have you just come in from the pub and not heard the other major news story of the night? The one not about Villa wanting Lambert...
 15.
Thanks for the 3 years but surely the REAL test was coming up now?. The challenge to sustain and progress the job you''ve started with the team you''ve built and prove it wasnt just a flash in the pan, instead of jumping ship at the first job that becomes available?? If you''ve left because you think you''ve taken us as far as you can then that I''m afraid is surely an admission of your own managerial shortcomings if you dont think you can progress this team and probably a reason in itself as to why you should leave anyway?? Time to get in somebody that believes that they can move us forward and actually finish the job thats been started. It may sound bitter but I hope Villa crash and burn...and looking at their team on the last day of the season, can even Lambert save that?. I hope "second season syndrome" really does hit Paul Lambert and Villa suffer because of it !!!
Careful.. We''ll get some Col U fans on here in a minute and you know what the response will be. "Ha Ha, serves you right" etc. Truth is, we got our 3 years out of him and we''re now a Premier League club with a bright future. I think genuinely, Lambert will struggle at Villa with the expectation and the complete rebuild their team needs... Now time for us to focus on bringing in a new manager and consolidating our Premier League position...
 16.
Cod and chips for tea. I''m made up!
This really isn''t the time or the plaice for fish jokes...
 17. Haven''t seen this posted. Radio 5 are looking for the best football commentaries over the past few years to go into the National Football Museum. Be great to see Goreham''s commentary against Derby go in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHp5kCdR35M Send them your suggestion here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17705832
 18.
Trouble is the blame would lie with their board/commercial department, if they had of asked us for me  tickets we would have HAD to given them some more, but it looks like they weren''t confident of selling them all so asked for a reduced allocation.
I agree completely. They appear to be arguing semantics regarding what the word ''allocate'' in our customer charter means. As far as I understand it and according to football league rules (although I may be wrong) you have to offer teams a certain percentage of your ground, not set aside a certain percentage of your ground. So after they were offered 2000 tickets and only took 900, their ends any obligation on our part regarding the rest of the 1100 tickets going to them.
 19. http://www.bias.org.uk/news_story.php?id=395_0http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=77751Seemed to be annoyed that they are only getting 900 tickets and they want 1400 and appear to be trying to pin the blame onto us.
 20. Don''t take this as a criticism because it''s fantastic to see someone having a go but I think if such a site is going to be a success it needs to be done professionally and with a degree of journalistic input. One of the great things about that Kellows Bootlaces site is how professionally it''s done plus the interviews. I know Archant do the odd video piece here and there, however most of it is pretty disjointed and hard to find. I am wondering why they don''t do PinkUn TV, a sort of video version of the Scrimmage. They can put the video on the homepage. Would see like a winning idea to me.
 21.

IF we are both in the same league next season, Boro would still be the club more likely to be promoted, anyone other than a Norwich fan could tell you that. Both promotion and relegation are hypothetical, but Boro being in League 1 when we''re not is a lot less likely than the other way round, so there''s no point discussing it, whereas who is more likely to be in the Prem is a relevant discussion.
You say that, but what if Boro get into financial difficulties and have to sell off key squad members? I would say that unless you have a crystal ball you have no idea what will happen if we get promoted, and Boro stay where they are, next season.
Yeah, they could be a division 3 club in 23 million quid''s worth of debt and not have a chairman who''s funded them for 15 years. They are in a better position than us, that''s why they''re a bigger club and more attractive to players
Wasn''t it announced that Middlesbrough were £80 odd million in the hole last season? And didn''t Delia stick another 2.1 million into the club this season? Am I completely misreading your point?
£85 million at the end of last season, plus Gibson himself isn''t worth a huge amount. So yes it''s interesting to know how Middlesbrough are in a better position exactly? Especially if they don''t achieve promotion this season which looks likely.
 22.
Going on previous evidence if a club doesn''t get promoted out of the championship in there first season then it becomes increasingly difficult for them to achieve promotion. We are a case in point, so are Southampton and so are Charlton as has been previously mentioned. Boro by the looks of it, even by strengthening their squad aren''t going up this season and are going to find it increasingly difficult to gain promotion. If you want to use evidence that they have a good chance of promotion then there is a mountain of counter evidence that suggests otherwise. At the minute I see no reason for Wes to move and if we get promotion at the end of this season I will see no reason for him to move, especially with Lambert in charge. Come January next season things may be different and the respective positions and situations at both clubs may have changed and Wes may see his future away from us at Boro or many other clubs, that is for discussion then however.
 23.
It isn''t a contradiction, I can talk about their likelihood of promotion is relation to ours, and I can talk about their likelihood of relegation compared to ours. They are in a good position in the league above us, ergo it is reasonable to assume they have a better chance of being in the prem than us (they have a chance this season whereas we don''t at all as well) We are in league 1, therefore our chances of being there in the medium-term are higher than Boros, so it''s pointless to discuss possible relegation, geddit?
Err yes it is. You can''t say that an argument about Boro being relegated is nonsensical and then suggest that they could be promoted in 3 years. It''s a complete contradiction and with your last sentence you seem to be getting yourself even more confused. If you can talk about Boro''s possibility of being promoted in 3 years and the unlikeliness of there relegation we can use the same parameters for Norwich to suggest there is every chance based on our current league position and their''s we will be playing them in the championship next season, ergo Wes moving wouldn''t be a step forward for him in the short to medium term, geddit?
 24.
They have a much better chance of being in the prem than us in, say, three years time, that''s undeniable, better squad, more money, in the league above and can go up this year. Burnley are probably less likely than boro to be in the prem in 3 years.

You can''t use the fact they might get relegated as an argument though, it''s nonsensical, everything other than attendance makes them bigger, finance, league position recent history, record transfer fee, current squad etc... From the perspective of a player, they''re a bigger club. If Boro came in for one of our targets he''d choose them over us, guaranteed.
Talk about a contradiction. You can''t use the fact that they maybe relegated as an argument but you can use the fact that they could be in the premiership in 3 years time? Which is it?
 25. Yeah thats a good idea, where a balaclava around shops in Norwich. See what happens.
