  1. We''re gona get nothing off Birmingham, Swansea, Reading, and Ipswich.  And then 6 points off Watford and Charlton wont be enough I don''t think.
  2. I''d like to be proved wrong by the end of this evening, but I don''t think we''ll win any remaining away matches this season.
  3. I genuinely think that we only stand a chance of beating Doncaster, Blackpool, and Charlton out of our remaining away games.  And yes, I''m sorry, but that includes the scum. If we get some decent home performances going - as we did against Wolves for example, then we''ll have no problem.  I can''t see those performances coming against the better performers in the league at the moment though, so from who we''ve got left at home, I think Bristol City, Coventry, Plymouth, Shef Wed, and Watford. If we got those 8 wins I think it''d be tight, but I think we''d be ok.  Whether we can get those wins, or indeed points in games that I haven''t accounted for, remains to be seen.
  4. Hardly a good career record is it!? The 25-year-old began his career as a trainee with Everton before moving to Oldham Athletic in 2003. He had short spells with Halifax Town and Scottish side Hamilton Academicals before returning to his homeland in 2005 to play for Sydney FC. And getting nowhere near the team at Sheff Utd. And more to the point - yet another midfielder!!!! Waste of money in my opinion.
  5. It''s a known fact that Stringer was on the interview panel.  Like I said, moron, I''m not solely blaming him, far from it, but a man - who is suggesting that an individual whose main managerial experience that has come from being in charge of King''s Lynn - could be a good option is indeed a moron in my opinion.
  6. The man seems to be genuinely suggesting Keith Webb could be a good bet in today''s Evening News!? No wonder we ended up with Grant and Roeder.  I''m not saying Stringer is solely to blame, but his track record of his part in recruitment is hardly a glowing one, without this statement.  Moron.
  7. “The expectation levels now and the hype that surrounds professional football have never been greater and the wonderful thing about football is that we are all allowed to have our own opinion. “But one thing that has changed over the last 10 years or so is that most supporters think they are good judges. I haven''t got a problem with that either, but they watch so much football on the television, they listen to all the clever people that have never been brave enough or good enough to try management and they suddenly think they''re experts."   I''ve never known a Norwich manager to have such a disregard for the fans.  Arrogant (unt.
  8. Spot on.  Shambolic player.  And it sums up the state of our squad that we have to rely on him as a starter.  Consistent for one thing - at least one major error a game. And it sums up the lack of ambition of our fans that in their droves they leap to his defence on here. He has no pace, mistimes tackles regularly, drapes himself all over players, and cannot head the ball to safety - particularly a bouncing ball. He is sh!t, but the sad fact is that he''s better than some of the other sh!t we have, or some of the sh!t that we can actually afford.   Fully agree though, thorough liability.
  9. You really have to question the judgement of those on the interview panel when we have this fool in charge, following on from Grant - who at least talked a better game, whilst still being completely tactically unaware.  A really sad state of affairs.  Worst in my lifetime.  Southampton look like they have to sell.  I think Charlton will start picking some points up.  We really are relying on others at the moment.  Sad time.
  10. According to an interview I just watched on Sky.  ''Progress'' from the team he inherited, he says......  What a f**king joker. We really better hope that Southampton sell from what little they have in January, and that Charlton don''t start picking up points. Progress!?  Naive as f**k.  The arrogance......
  11. Marshall, and to a degree - Clignan, are the only assets in cash raising terms that we own in our squad. Croft is playing well, but would hardly bring much money in would he.
  12. Perhaps GJP, that''s because he consistently makes faults. We have a core of fans who don''t criticise him because he puts effort in.  Like Kuyt for Liverpool for example. It doesn''t make him good enough however. Squad player for me.  Sadly our squad is so poor, that he becomes a starter.
  13. He does, he''s one of few players who does give his all for the club, but whilst, as you say, he has always struggled with clearing the ball with headers - rather than putting it upwards, in my opinion he''s becoming an increasing liability.
  14. Unless we make some shrewd loan signings in January - as clearly there is little cash for permanent signings - we are heading down.  Lita will be gone for sure, and without him, I can''t see where the goals are coming from. Equally we need two solid centre backs to shore up the defence (not asking much I know!?).  Kennedy is injury prone and Doherty is a liability. If we do enough to stay up, then we need a cultural change at the club - where whilst we need a few good loan additions, we need our own players, who will play their heart out for the club.  You don''t get that commitment from loan players. Whether that change includes Roeder or not remains to be seen. We need to up the scouting network for certain though, and get more bargains like Clignan. Keogh, Kightly, Doyle, and many others have all come from lower leagues, and Ashton was banging in goals long long before we took a look at him. I think sadly though we''ll have to adopt this change for the wrong reasons though - as next year we''ll be in the league below, and no one will want to send decent loan players down to that level.
  15. Bad decision by the ref, but yet another poor header from Doherty to put Fotheringham in that position. His poor header back against Ipswich should really have seen another penalty given against us. He needs to work on his headers.  Particularly when the ball has already bounced.
  16. Agreed.  Good player.  Better than wasting money on some young loan player.
  17. I for one am tired of our dependency on loan players. Not a new point of view, and yes I recognise our financial limitations. Fair enough, a few quality editions, but Roeder''s current love affair with the loan market isn''t a sustainable business. Plus it''s simply not working. I''d have more respect for Roeder and for the club, if they farmed lower leagues/european leagues/the fringes of squads in the prem, to build, and gel a team over the course of a few seasons. We need a settled squad, with a love of playing for our club, not some young kid with no incentive whatsoever to put in a performance for us. Like I said, a couple of editions - like the title winning side - but a settled side who play for one another, and the fans. Many of these youngsters on loan aren''t exactly going to break into their parent side''s first team on the basis of games for us, and their wage is paid whatever, with a return to their real club due, so what''s in it for them.  Plus I think it works as a motivational reverse for some of our permanent players, if they can''t get their place back from some of these kids - who aren''t always playing on merit.  Rather than motivating them to earn their place back, I think it just makes them want to play for the manager less. The money we are spending on players that have no incentive would be better used to sign some permanent players, and I for one would rather see us build a squad of players who will play for the badge. If you look at Reading, or Hull, in more recent years - their teams were built over a course of time, with players that they owned. Players like Kevin Doyle, or Michael Kightly and Andy Keogh at Wolves, to name but a few, came from lesser leagues, and for cheap. Team spirit counts for a lot at our level, and we have none, because not enough of that squad care. We need to keep our place in this league, and then start to properly build an owned squad, with some decent scouting, and investment in our own local youth players, because only then are we going to have a sustainable system of developing a squad of players who want to play for this club. Roeder, and the club, need to lose this naivety about the loan market in order to achieve this.
  18. I''m all for players putting their all in for the club.  We don''t have enough players that care.  The lack of local players who are good enough coming through the youth ranks is one of the main reasons for that.  But just because someone puts in their all, doesn''t make them good enough.  Gary Holt wasn''t the best player, but during his better seasons for the club, his effort made up for that.  Doherty however, just doesn''t have the ability despite his effort.  He cannot tackle, has no pace, and all too often is all over players.  He is a liability.
  19. Reliable for only one thing - mistakes.  Slow, no positional awareness, and not a good tackler.  Can header the ball certainly, making him a threat to the opposition''s goal, but overall - more so to his own. Having a guy like him in defence week in week is one of many reasons we are in the position we''re in. And anyone who disagrees, has the same degree of naivety, and lack of ambition, as the club who put him out there on the pitch. Nice guy, works his a55 off no doubt, but just isn''t good enough.
  20. How he wasn''t released in the Summer god only knows.  Must have been sympathy. He is to the Championship, what Titus Bramble is to the Premier league. No positional awareness, no pace whatsoever, and is a thorough liability. How managers haven''t seen this, and no doubt a few fans who will reply to this post in his defence, is beyond me. He is a thorough waste of a wage.
  21. Match fixing, or no match fixing (joke - before anyone gets uptight), the odds on Norwich giving away a penalty in any match in the near future are slimming by the minute.  What the hell is happening with our tackling.
