Will Hoolahan Go Down As A Legend?
He is already a legend. He stuck with the club when we went down, unlike the Clingans and Crofts, vowed to put it right, and did. Always wants the ball, always offers an outlet, he changes the way we play for the better.
He''s not my favourite by a country mile but I''m happy to conceed to Empty Mirror on this.

  6.
That''s a shame - can''t read his full prediction and reasoning behind it. Would have liked to read why he thought we''d win 2-0. Still, glad he was right this time

    Err, he wasn''t right..........we won 2-1......not 2-0...so ergo........wrong!

Never been to Stoke in my life............thankfully!!

    Don't abandon 4-5-1
But we won using 442. we won because the Norwich city players wanted it. If you watch snoddy throughout the game he really wanted it and when kei came on it just added to that really, towards the 90th minute you''d notice martin and snoddy started attacking, really going for it.

Kei's got form against the Mancs.
Nice article in the Sun Link

Seems Kei was a member of the only American team to have ever beaten Man Utd, chipping in with one goal and an assist in a 2-1 win for Kansas City Wizards in 2010.

    Strikers.

Why does everybody on here think that Holt will leave?
If you follow him on twitter you''ll know that Holt''s wife and children all moved back to Carlisle 2 weeks ago, you''d also know that hes devoted to his wife and kids and doesn''t talk about much else. So I personally dont see him commuting backwards and forwards to Carlisle after the games on Sat and coming back very early on Monday morning for 9.30am training for the next 2 years. I think he''ll be off in the summer without a doubt.
I think that''s a very logical argument and I think your right. I will be very surprised if he is here next season but do not share singupcarrowroad''s fears that the world will end if he goes. That''s just football and we will move onward and upwards, his part in our recent history will always be on the record.

I thought the world had ended when Ron Davies went off to Southampton, but...............................

Is there any hope for Man Utd game?
We will get nout if we try sit back and defend, teams what have a go are the only ones who ever get a result there. We have nothing to lose imo, nobody expects us to get jack, so lets just relax and have a go.
What do your new mates on the QPR website make of him Wiz ?

Anyway it is a big no from me as he put QPR in front of us and has been said is a Hammers fan so his loyalty and motives are highly questionable.
In general I think they support him Til.

Is there any hope for Man Utd game?
United are 12 points clear in the league, have a massive game against Real just 72 hours later and have RVP out. We''re unbeaten in 4 and off the back of a huge confidence boosting win. Won''t have a better time to play them.

    I smell an upset....
The Real game could be a major factor Mr B, there''ll be no whinging from me if its a bore draw, hell, as long as its not a spanking I''ll be ok with it.
Well on that game I think Wiz is right, last seasons defence was so much better. Hughton has missed a trick there and totally made it worse. NOT! Also when it comes to substitutions people have: a) short memories b) poor concept of the limitations of Jackson and Morison. Kamara gave us the pace of Jackson coupled with the tenacity and desire of a brimming Holt. He is technically a superior player. Same with Becchio who is also a better option than Morison, although not as quick he has a better touch.
Becchio is far more gifted at falling down (diving) and getting free kicks.............I''ll give you that.
Why don''t you respond to the initial point on the defence, rather than looking for a new scapegoat / baseless rant / ramblings of a moron.
Because YOU changed the parameters and brought Becchio into the debate.[:S]

  22.
Sometimes, Mr Hucker, I think you are impressed by the sound of your own ''pen''.

CH has recruited exceptionally well (Bassong, Snodgrass, Turner, Garrido, Tettey, etc + now Becchio/Kamara). Additional and equally importantly he knows when a player is overpriced however much he wants him.

He was far sighted enough to realise that we required cover for Ruddy and bought in the excellent Bunn. He has farmed out dead wood to prove themselves or go (Vaughan, Ayala, Martin, Ward etc). He has given our young players the opportunity to develop their skills and gain experience. He has dealt with the contracts of the key players in our squad who seem very happy to re-sign for him. He has ''engineered'' wins over Man Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton and the excellent Swansea. We now sit at a key stage of the season in mid table with our premiership future pretty much assured. In achieving this he has worked within budgets and (unlike QPR) has not risked the financial future of our Club.

Not sure how much of that lot happens ''by accident''.

Alright there will be ''blips'' along the way, with the inevitable limitations of our developing squad sometimes it is necessary for compromises but next year (all being well) we are likely to be able to be more ''expansive''.

He goes about his business with dignity and is highly respected by his piers who with respect are far more knowledgeable than you (or I) about this game.

I suspect it was the likes of you that got him removed from Newcastle and spent the next few years wondering why!

In summary I am delighted to have this decent man at the helm of our Club - long may it continue.
Thanks for your imput Mrs Hughton.................I accept the dignity bit though.
Indeed Tilly but you could argue that he did today what they have been calling for ie 2 up top and positive/early substitutions.

Oh don''t say that, it ruins his post.........written with hindsight of course.
Do you think Kamara had a good game Wiz?

Not bad for a Yank nobody, eh?
He was ruddy excellent morty...........but then so was Cody Mac with his first goal.

I was wrong and out of order with the name calling, but judgement on his long term ability may take longer.
