  1. It would be interesting to see how long this could remain in place - probably not long! If there’s anything to know I’m sure it’ll be on the news site before long….
  2. …maybe naming a player who might or might not have done something stupid under the influence in the last couple of days, doesn’t comply with the rules?!
  3. Or just don’t take one sample and assume it is the same for all, maybe? I suppose the implied moral of the story is that our supporters are a bunch of miserable ****s, whinge all season, get to the play offs and don’t bother going…whilst bitching about how fair weather binner fans are…
  4. There’s probably about 20% in that block - but there’s a load of blocks in the south stand with barely 20-30 remaining, and about twice as large. Do the maths, if there’s 10% left I’d be surprised.
  5. No - there’s 4-5 blocks sold out, unless you don’t include the community stand for some reason, A LOT was the point made - it isn’t. There’s a fair few but imo well short of a LOT (their caps, not mine). Perhaps it’s semantics, but to me a LOT would be half or more whereas there’s probably 10% left at best.
  6. No there aren’t - some areas are sold out, with limited availability in nearly all the others. That is not a LOT by any measure at all.
  7. Utter garbage - the death of football for those who actually turn up has well and truly set in.
  8. S/t holders had their seat reserved until this morning - I noticed when getting a ticket for my son this morning that a fair few s/t holders hadn’t taken their ticket. There’s a multitude of reasons why - I know 3 people who can’t go.
  9. No. Strange scenario - and how do we know there’s ‘obvious differing visions’ for the club?
  10. Not to sound all Til-ly, but Flags might have been good as well for this one.
  11. I don’t think Rowe has looked fully fit, certainly not as though he was ready to start in the last few games, so it may well be as you suggest.
  12. No, that is just wrong, plain and simple. A resold ticket counts as one ticket. But if it isn’t offered for resale, a club cannot resell so it is included in the official attendance. It is not rocket science, and nor is it unfair to report tickets sold as an attendance figure - it isn’t for clubs to second guess who isn’t attending and why.
  13. Why does it? Adding a tier to the City Stand would be far more seats. Imo we don’t really need a ground that holds much more than 30-31k.
  14. It isn’t ’manipulative dishonesty’ in the slightest. If a ticket has been sold it cannot be sold again, so it is perfectly fair to include it in the attendance. I imagine the away figures are similarly the number of tickets sold. All clubs report attendances the same way.
  15. Let’s hope they don’t need to worry about how much tickets for the final have gone up by…
  16. Oh - there seems to be a strange idea doing the rounds that you/we get to decide. It is an interesting and somewhat bizarre notion. Was it ‘time’ for the binners, Luton/Burnley last year, loads of others before that? Back in the real world, you don’t get to decide - you get what you get. Surely it would be far better to wait and see and cross the bridge when we come to it. If you really don’t want us to go up, why even bother?
  17. We finished 6th, the comment you’re making is the sort of stuff you’d expect to read on relegation, not for a side who has made the play offs. You’re either not for real or a bit of a fool.
  18. Leeds are getting 2,022 for the first leg (info from them); Saints are getting (and have sold out) their 2,009 for WBA game. It is odd that we rarely seem to tell supporters this kind of information.
  19. Somewhat odd that the two promoted sides only managed 3 players between them.
  20. The level of ‘meh’ness in some is quite bizarre - if things really are as iffy as people are making out, I don’t know why they are bothering.
  21. Only in that mythical era that never existed.
  22. I imagine when you consider secondary sales and all the other extras, the whole thing will approach £1m. It is 50% of all 4 matches that is split between clubs, Leeds are charging more and have the biggest ground, so it’ll probably work out at a pretty penny whatever and it is in addition to what the club wound otherwise have, with limited outgoings.
  23. Indeed - I had looked into driving most of the way and getting a train from Warwick Parkway or similar (decent car parking at stations, with security cameras), but decided to train all the way. I never fancy trying to find parking around an away ground - chances are that places where there’s spaces are dodgy!
  24. I imagine gate receipts for a an “unexpected” game (or three) will be helpful for the coffers.
  25. We were on the train - sat opposite a couple of Brum fans on the way up, seemed decent guys. On the way back (1515 train) it was fine -seemed most footy fans on it were WBA with a smattering of ours. It guess Brum fans were drowning their surrows post-match.
