  1. We are hearing reports that Norwich have made an offer for Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel, who is entering the final year of his Emirates Stadium contract. The Canaries hope to conclude the deal in the next 48 hours, with Arsenal unlikely to stand in the way of the proposed move. Could be a busy few days.
  2. Having looked on here throughout the season and seen all of the mixed messages about Hughton, I think today we should look forward to the future and think of this season as being job done. Yes, the football hasn''t been the most exciting this season, but Hughton had massive boots to fill following Paul Lambert. His brief was to avoid relegation. We were in free fall towards the end of last season, which I believe was one of the reasons why Lambert chose to leave. Hughton identified that we conceded far too many goals last season. His response was to build from the back by signing Turner and Bassong, both of whom have been excellent. I feel that the performance today is how we will play next season when Hughton will have the opportunity to manoeuvre more players in and out of the squad over the summer and stamp more of his own mark on the team. Most of his signings have improved the squad as a whole, and think that this will carry on next season. The containing tactics worked to help him achieve his brief with the squad that he had at his disposal. I think that with 5/6 quality signings in the summer we could be in for an exciting season next year! OTBC!!
  3. I have been really impressed with him too. Definitely one of the stand out players of the tournament so far. Interesting report here, available for £2 million. http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/9756804.Albion_priced_out_for_Czech_defender/?
  4. Excellent news, will look forward to this feature. There is a post on there about a forward signing according to Paul Lambert''s twitter.

  7. I am heading home from Derby for the Boro game too. Was meant to go to the Forest game tonight too, but had a very ''Inbetweeners'' evening! There was an accident on the A52 when we were on the Red Arrow, so the road was closed and wasn''t going to open till 8.30. We decided to walk through the verge onto the slip road and ended up at Risley. We ordered several taxis which didn''t turn up and ended up getting the bus to Market Square and watched the second half of the Arsenal game in a pub!

  11. Just emailed you guys about going for a drink sometime in Derby.
  12. I went to the game as I am a student in Derby. It was played at Pride Park because Derby has the biggest Ukrainian population in England. The atmosphere was great as there were a load of Brazilians providing the crowd with some samba beats. The game itself was great, both teams had a go and there was some show boating too.
