  1. If everyone gave what Kenny gives every game we would be in a much better position in the table. He works so hard on and off the ball, sticks his foot in and recently he seems like he sets the tone. Him and PLM have been tidy recently, keeping things simple.
  2. tbf the amount of players we have signed, we are going to have 1 or two that aren't up to it straight away. He does look very lightweight
  3. Fair enough. But we didn't 'let' them have the ball, its do with the manager sorting out the issues and the players showing their class. They have better ball players, better footballers, in the premier league we aren't going to dominate games for the entire period, you have to sit and suffer. Also re Dean Smith, if you noticed, just before they scored he was about to make the change. Decent point on the whole and a game of two halfs.
  4. is this not realistic though? how many of palace players would get into our team. Pretty much every single one.
  5. also remember what we are, self funded... bottom of the pile in terms of draw to the club etc etc look at palace, Benteke on 100+k a week and not even featured.
  6. they fixed the issues at half time and their premier league class / ball retention was clear to see second half. They have seriously classy players.
  7. should have scored that no doubt, he will know that more than anyone. He will make up for it
  8. So many muppets once again. We can now compete in the prem, we now look strong at the back, we can weather the storm and dig deep to hold on in a game, we have a team who know their jobs and dig in for each other. and all we have sacrificed is a few sideways passes / faffing around at the back and people are moaning. unbelievable really. Did anyone see how strong Palace team actually is, every single one of their starting 11 is better than ours, their bench is superb. Great point IMO and keeps the unbeaten run going... (until Saturday)
  9. probably a good thing tbh, do you really expect us to get a player who will get us out of this mess. No. factor in our shocking recruitment and it doesnt point to finding a player with quality, all we will do is sign a young, weak player who isnt ready to hit the ground running. I'd like to see us sign a really experienced international player at the end of his career, another big character ideally because we are lacking in them
  10. Agree, he is the best player we have had for years, miles ahead of anyone else in our current squad in terms of footballing brain. Yes he may need a few chances to score, but if you watch him week in week out, his movement is world class, just the players feeding him are average at best. I'm amazed a team like Everton or similar haven't come in for him. We are lucky to have him and I think he deserves better than what we have atm.
  11. I think the term 'ripping it up in the prem' is doing some heavy lifting here. But I do think fully fit / head in the right place, he would be our most important player, now Buendia has gone. It has not worked out that way which is a shame, I am a big fan of Cantwell, I don't get all the hate he gets. So lets get the maximum we can for him now, wish him well, invest it in some firepower and lets try and stay up, as bad as we have been, we are two wins from pretty much getting out of it, its mental.
  12. How deluded are some people. He is never going to come here, not a chance in a million years.
  13. Spot on, I agree. Hope he does really well. We have some very odd fans dont we
  14. I think we need to talk about others too...Aarons awful once again been one of our worst players week in week out but because he is our own it's ok and never mentioned. Get Williams at rb and giannoulis at lb. Aarons has no attributes to beat a man in this league and positional sense is still dire. Woeful
  15. Was his worst game in a norwich shirt for me. He's a tidy player for sure but admittedly we need more than that each week. Players like Aarons, Gibson etc are equally as bad week in week out, nobody mentions it.
  16. Woeful performance. How much longer can we persist with Aarons, he is dreadful week in week out this level, positional sense is appalling and he doesnt have any attributes to beat a player 1v1 in the prem, also he never crosses the ball!! Williams at rb considering he's a right footer, gianoullis in at left back. Sell him in Jan, anything over 10mil and I'll drive him there.
  17. but he's not is he, well not in this league. in the championship he is. If you use your eyes to watch a game of football, there is nothing to suggest he is a very good attacking full back at premier league level. 1 good cross against Southampton doesn't mean that. Also 'Key passes' are even more irrelevant than assists.
  18. Good point re the cross for Pukki, me and my dad said to each other at the time that it must be the first time Aarons has assisted a goal for a long time, let alone hit a first time cross. He bottled it big time against Newcastle IMO. 1 assist in 14 games from an 'attacking' full back is dire (5 or so last season), especially given the hype about him and when defending is not his strong point too.... begs the question what actually is he?
  19. Jamal Lewis seemed to turn Arrons into Jamal Lewis last night. I thought as soon s Idah was on we looked a threat in the air, so therefore get some crosses in. Arrons decision making is one of the (many) reasons he is still here.
  20. I am enjoying what Deano is doing and how he has us looking the part. Just need to find a few more goals.
