Difference is that the bin boys aren't a top team. They have rode their luck all season and got results they do not deserve. They have a good manager and belief, but not so much skill and talent, Leicester are the opposite, lots of skill and talent and have not got the results that their play has always deserved...

Sadly they are a top team in this league. Its not all luck, we done similar under Farke, kept finding last minute winners, they dont know when they are beaten and as much as it hurts, you have to give them credit for a fine season IMO. Like i said, we've been there many a time.

But it will all end in tears Saturday for them.

I think as much as some folk (myself included) look on the pessimistic side - I think it’s entirely plausible that keeping Wagner in charge lands us in the relegation battle this season

I wouldn't say a relegation battle, as we clearly have talent like Sara, Rowe, Stacey etc but as it stands it will be a rollercoaster of a ride if we are to get into the playoffs

  3. First of all can anyone remember a Norwich manager who was worse than Wagner at making in game changes to see out a game? every time he makes a change to tighten things up, we get worse and ultimately end up loosing points it seems. I'd like to see the stats on this, from a winning position and after the subs.

Leeds thoughts, I actually thought for 65/70 mins we mixed it and in parts had control of the game with one of the best teams in the league, albeit giving up chances which is always going to happen when you look at their attacking threat. The front 6 they had on at the end was outrageous for this league. Playing out from the back was effective whilst also stressful to watch, it worked and we looked good going up the pitch.

Taking off Hernandez and bringing on Springett was absolutely criminal IMO, Hernandez wasn't always in the game, but god did he give Archie Gray something to think about and a tough game for the young lad, ran him ragged at times.
Summerville was clearly their most dangerous player, a threat throughout but I thought Stacy and Rowe done a pretty good job of doubling up and limiting his influence, Springett comes on and Rowe switches wings and the problems star and Summerville has acres of space for the rest of the game.
Hwang is just dire, at the moment he's the equivalent to RVW's left foot, Idah wasn't as bad as normal (we aren't talking high standards).

Gibbs gave us energy, Mclean decent enough and energy in the middle, Giannoulis was very good I thought. So result aside, some decent performances, Sara as usual just a cut above the rest, pure class. If we would have won that game, everyone would have been believing again (If my auntie has balls etc etc etc) deserved at least a draw.

Would I be disappointed if Wagner got the boot, not at all, I actually think we have a decent enough squad to be 6th / 8th or so, we just need a manager who can add that extra 10/20% to the squad, a bit like that lot down the road dare I say it, we have a bang average manager who has had 1 good run as a manager in his career and that was a long time ago, didn't even win the league with Young Boys in the swiss league which is usually a given.

If we loose against Boro, I think he should be shown the door, the away form is dreadful and 1 win in 9 (if we loose tomorrow) obviously that wont be getting us promoted, if we win well...you just know there is another Plymouth style result not too far around the corner with Wagner in charge sadly. Sunderland after that which is another tough one.

In summary, I think with Wagner at the wheel, we are heading to a bang average season with 6 or 7 meaningless games at the end of it.

I sometimes think that some of our supporters need to take a long hard look at themselves. Max Aarons has been a model professional at our club, the moment things turn sour they look for a scapegoat. I haven't seen a better fullback since Mark Bowen, he has one of the best records for appearances, he never stops running, when knocked over & gets fouled he just picks himself up never moans & goes again. He plays his best football when in an attacking team, its no coincidence that was when Farke was at the helm. You could say the same for Pukki, Krul, & a few others.

I for one will be extremely sad to see him go, in the right team he will flourish, Well done Max, I wish you well, & fully understand your reasoning, you bought a bit of joy & excitement to an astonishing time at Carrow Road. Thank you.

Unfortunately you need to be physical presence and a bit more defensive nouse to play in the prem, as was shown in both him prem seasons....

Both in terms of its make up and it’s mentality.

they had worked so hard to get back into contention and then produce two displays like we’ve seen in the last four days to basically chuck it all away.

They don’t seem to really want promotion and they are gutless, sloppy and complacent. I find it very hard to watch to be honest and i can’t wait to see the back of a few if them.

Webber has failed. Completely. He is ruining us and will leave us in a disastrous state of allowed to continue.

More than anything though you look at the top half of the premier league with the likes of Brentford, Brighton and Fulham holding their own and you realise what a complete and utter waste we have made of the opportunities that we have had. I hope I’m wrong but I fear it may be a long time before we have them again. That will ultimately be Delia’s legacy. The club not fulfilling its potential and being left behind by other clubs who take their chances.

Totally agree with this. Fed up with seeing players in their comfort zone, just ticking over / just doing enough / going through the motions however you want to put it.

I mean how ever much has Aarons regressed as a player, pretty much no strength in any area what so ever now, cant skin a player to save his life, terrible positioning, poor crossing and so on. Yes he has been loyal which is great, but come on, the mentality needs to be questioned. Go back 2 or 3 seasons ago surely he should have had the drive to better himself, but no he stays here and stays in his comfort zone, which I'm afraid is all too common with this Norwich squad, far too much deadwood. We are far too nice as  a club.

Yes Webber is at fault to some extent, but tbh players like Nunez and Sara have been good and will likely be sold on for double the fee which is a  big part of his remit. Of course others have not been so successful but that is football, no clubs get all transfers bang on.

If we could start with a defence that does not include Hanley, Gibson and Aaron’s it would be a start, unfortunately we are stuffed.

as much as we have been dire this season, he has been our best defender this season by some way IMO.

Aarons has been going backwards all season, for some reason it seems like he has been told to not go forward and just defend, something that he is woeful at. Sick and tired of seeing Aarons run 10 yards, stop, turn round and then pass backwards, a trait of a player devoid of all confidence.

I think once Dimi is fit he will be left back and Byram RB like how it was at the start of the season.

Doubt Gladbach can afford him. Max is a 25+ million player based on age, experience and nationality. Be disappointed personally if we sold him for any less.

maybe a few years ago, doubt he is now. I'd take 15mil for him.... he hasn't really kicked on.

He's a modern day attacking full back, apart from he cant cross a ball to save his life. dreadful

I'd like to see our Greek pair playing in most of the matches for the rest of the season. They must both feel they have made a dreadful mistake in terms of their long-term careers by coming here, but I think both of them could still do a job for us next year. However, I imagine both of them can't wait to get out of the club.

I know some fans will say that Giannoulis isn't Premiership quality. But who is, other than Pukki and probably Aarons, and maybe Krul and Rashica? Also, all we will need is good Championship quality, which we have proof that Giannoulis is. If we keep him, we don't have to use any of our limited money on that spot if we bring back McCallum and use other existing players who could fill the spot in an emergency.

As for Tzolis, unless we are happy to throw away most of the money we paid for him, we need to try to develop the obvious natural ability he showed which led to that high transfer figure. Yes, those fans who say he is rubbish and yet another wonderkid who won't become a great adult player may be right, but how do we find out if we don't give him game time? We don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but it looks as if he has been horribly mishandled to date. Given hardly any playing time, little seemingly done to help a 19-year-old kid adapt to a new country, put on the naughty step by Farke, ignored and stuck in the under-23s by Smith - it's a perfect example of how not to handle a very promising youngster. We've got a free hit in the last nine games. Play him, see if he might have what it takes, and do our best to make him feel settled at the club. If he flops, we've lost nothing; his value must already have plummeted anyway.

This all depends on Smith, of course. First, whether he acknowledges (not publicly, of course) that this season is over and he should start planning for the next. Second, how he intends to set out the team next season. If he plans to play hoofball to a big guy up front, who needs an attacking full-back and a winger who is not very tall and not especially quick, but clearly has other skills which might fit into a side that tries to play on the ground, not in the air?

have you ever actually watched Giannoulis play for Norwich? appalling defensively (Williams / Byron for example miles better defensively) and we do have to do a fair bit of defending to do.....

Tzolis... as much as I'd like to see him start, apart from against Bournemouth's 2nd string, he has looked way off the pace and unfit to me.

But... I wouldn't mind seeing them both start to reward their patience and tbh we haven't got anything to loose. William play RB and drop Aarons who once again has proved he is not up to premier league level.

Normally I hate international breaks and really miss watching City play. I can honestly say for the first time in 45 years of supporting Norwich, it’s not been the case this time around. It’s been a relief not having to witness another sorry performance and yet another defeat.  I’ve enjoyed the sunshine, the outdoors and family time and felt far happier for it.  Like others have mentioned before the love of football and perhaps (I never ever thought I would say this) NCFC is dwindling.

    agree

I work with a Rangers fan who would absolutely love them to sign Pukki, may be more appreciated by opposition fans than our own in some regards I'm afraid!

Stick him in a Premier League quality team and he'd show himself to be a Premier League quality striker, simple.

Correct, he is such a clever player, in a team full of runners with no eye for a pass, or at least on Pukkis level.

  11. I feel so sorry for the bloke. He works his back side off every game, makes 10's of runs
Noticed more last night than most games, when the ball goes into Sargent, Pukki is on the move, three times he was on his bike and Sargent wasn't even aware of the run and took 5 touches to get the ball under control, instead of helping it on first time.
Pukki gets so much stick more than ever, but he really is miles ahead in of his strike partner and midfielders, its sad that a large portion of fans don't see this. Ok he doesnt seem as explosive etc but that comes with age

Fed up with repeating the same old, but if we had someone with Buendias brain and the ball to Pukki is played, 9 out of 10 his run with be spot on and its just down to the finish, but with Sargent, by the time he gets full control of the ball, that run has been covered.

Mclean is now our no. 10. Sad times.
