if we had the 250k for barnard we would have bought him tho i think he will prefer top dog leeds if beckford goes. as he is likely to be staying at leeds , then southampton seem to be best placed. before we brought in oli j i though that we were in the running. we have the best attack in the league and good back up , as has been stated. the hunt for a forster type keeper would be my priority over the coming months. would you leave southend to sit on a bench and watch holt get 30 goals this season?

he is quietly becoming one of my favourite players this season in part due not only to his enhtusiasm when we score but the right go that he has at his team mates when we are slacking. there are more glam candidates but few would have put up with the rodent treatment with as much class as lappin.
