1. Did you read the article at all? He rejected the offer of a deal at Everton to get out and play first team football. He says that explicitly, why would he come somewhere else where he''d be paid less well to act as cover? Makes no sense at all. Apart from the silly first sentence and the shouty tone, I agree that he is clearly looking for first team football. Otherwise I would be very interested.
 2.

Just out of interest, does anyone know if any other club''s message boards have posters who are at each other''s throats as some of ours are?
I tend to be a reader on here rather than a poster mainly due to the complaints made on this thread. NCFC Mad is quiet at times but has a fairly respectful tone. There''s plenty of banter from visiting fans.Certainly there is no geeky grammar police or critisism of OPs for their failure to adhere to non existant rules. However as a life long fan who now lives away I do enjoy a lot of the debate on here and will try and actually contribute to healthy witty debate. I suppose that on Mad you can start a thread without fear of reprisal!
Leeds. all of them.

 4. Good post. I am excited by the interplay between Garrido and Pilks as well as Martin and Snods. This is an area where we have potentially made a huge step up in quality.
 5. Unless City 1st is on the board, he is only expressing an opinion which may or may not have merit. However entrenched the views on this subject appear, they have no relevance to the outcome. Time to calm down.
 6.
Anyone else starting to hope we lose 7-1?
Ha! This doesn''t quite fit with the accepted wisdom that CH is the right man to sort out our defence...
 7. Our defence is very poor and one up top is making it easy for them.
 8.
I too am not a fan of one up front, not the best use of Holt in my humble opinion. Also surprised that Bennett (E) isnt starting, but I have trust in CH to bring home at least a point regardless, as that''s a decent eleven and a strong bench, Fulham not so shabby either.
Hi Mark. Me neither although I hear that it mat be more 4-3-3.
 9. Do you see what a fatuous comment that was Morty? JB is tedious enough without GH emulating his barrack room lawyer sh1t. Grant - talk to the board fella or fu(k off.
 10. I was born and brought up in Norfolk but have lived in the West Country for a long time. I too have never really left Norfolk. 22 years of attending every home match now translates as any away game I can find. I love my club and cannot persuade my Bristol born child to support anyone but Norwich! Hucks is one of his heroes.
 11.
After the Lambert and Holt saga i think Mcnally should resign. He promised Holt he would look at his contract at the end of the season but did not now look whats happened and also by not allowing Lambert to talk to Villa has also cost us at least a million pounds.
Should he resign? No. He is currently the guardian of the soul and future of Norwich city.
 12. I am not shooting the messenger as I think that the bitching on here has much improved lately! Holt''s request was turned down instantly by the board. Howson would be on PL''s wish list so I see a bit of stirring from Lambert''s people there. Lambert is gone so support must go to the board in order to resist the deliberate unsettling of the squad.
 13. I like post season discussions like this . It''s fantasy football time! Thanks MC for researching this as I generally can''t be arsed to look beyond the obvious such as Snodgrass and Rhodes. However I mistrust the international element as the best go to the big clubs and the rest can be expensive with no guarantee of adaption to the Premier League . I remain open minded but suspect that PL already knows his targets and will be Championship or thereabouts.Last season tended to be the best of league one and lower Championship with an emphasis on British born players.I think that we can cherry pick a bit more this time. I will be constructive - we need five players, Winger Striker Rhodes or Rodriguez Left back - Naughton Two centre backs preferably one who can cover right back. Good post.
 14. Involves a tricky interview with her own father apparently. Norwich hero and still the only gay footballer ever...
 15.

The pink un serves a useful purpose for those of us living away from Norfolk yet seems small minded and parochial for too much of the time.
But surely that''s the bit that makes you most nostalgic for Norfolk?
ha! true...
 16. Not angry. Just disappointed that whenever I read this board I find fellow fans being dismissed. The teenage bit was not intended to be literal. The pink un serves a useful purpose for those of us living away from Norfolk yet seems small minded and parochial for too much of the time. I am sorry if you feel defensive about being labelled dismissive but that''s how a small cabal on here come across.
 17.
L4Cole - you must know by now that anyone who starts a thread on here will have the resident posters who sit at their keybourads all day turning anything negative. They''re a bunch of morons so don''t worry it''s not you it''s the pack of multiple posters whose sad lives centre on the Oink''Un. Turn to the light and away from the Waldorfs and Statlers. Blue touch paper lit..........byeee
Indeed. Its a shame as rumours quite interest me but I prefer to discuss them on the Mad site which isn''t frequented by angry teenagers like on here. L4cole - don''t be put off posting .Its your site as much as the self appointed forum warriors. In between the smug dismissive posts you can sometimes find City fans chatting about anything related to our club including rumours.
 18.
As I live and work in Bristol and get to the Memorial Ground as much as I can , I''m quite excited about this.  Rovers have been seriously lacking in anything resembling quality (except Will Hoskins, who has now gone), so if he does come he will stand out as a top player (big fish in a very small pond!). I always thought he did okay when he pulled on the yellow and green.  Not the most talented, but hard working and committed - something else that Rovers have lacked!
Agreed. He will be massive for the rovers. well done them.
 19. As a teenager behind the goal against Liverpool in 1980 I will never forget the goal and my surprise that he got it on target as a remember a lot of his volleys going over the roof at the barclay! What a bruising young barnado boy and a real city star! I also remember him being outed as gay and feeling respect for his honesty and this fact not altering my view on him any more than his being black.Sometimes history is rewritten a lttle bit .Maybe in the 1950s and 60s there was a prevailing prejudice amonst young people against difference but not so by the 1980s My friends at this time ( some gay, most not) had open liberal views on homosexuallity and race etc just as many more were racist and bigoted. Much like today I''m afraid. Thats why there are apparently no gay footballers currently!
 20. Spot on Shark. Its nice to hear an intelligent post on the reality of the transfer window and well done city for recognising it too.
 21.
Well what a 24 hours that was. It always felt wrong that Lambert would leave us for the likes of Burnley and it would appear that instinct was correct. I believe the whole situation was manufactured by Lambo and his agent. yes if norwich did not respond as they anticipated they probably saw it as a fallback but i firmly believe this was all done to strengthen his position at Norwich, possibly get a better contract but most likely to get funds out of the board for transfers. so how should we feel about this. On balance probably grateful. We still have our manager, he has mugged off Burnley and hopefully is now armed with a war chest. however the events of yesterday have shown what a ruthless operator the man can be and I suspect cant have been massively well received by the board. I think we all knew it already but it will only be a matter of time before a more attractive offer comes in and lambo will be off. If anything it brings home the importance of striking while the iron is hot and we still have Lambo because personally I think the chances of him being with us at the end of next season are very slim. I expect a couple of decent players to come in now and for us to have a real crack at it.
absolutely spot on. my thoughts exactly.
 22.
Cheers. Just been told that a few guys are going in the Pump House in Hotwells. 8 of us here now already for a few pints.
great. you can shout at the sh1t heads in the nova scotia over the water!
 23. the spotted cow in southville according to the bristol canaries. its close to the ground.
