@NYCANARIES replied to Kim Briscoe's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Well thats one way to kill this thread Aussie. Away at Coventry..''Your grounds too big for you''...Is a fave of mine. -

Our record at molineux...not exactly brilliant

Has to change sometime. I''d be delighted with a point. -
This one will walk straight into the team. Quality addition. Fingers crossed.
-
IMO the only change necessary was attitude towards the team and team spirit. Makes all the difference. That said I am praying for a decent center half to cut down on the daft mistakes at the back.

"More bad journalism from the Waghorn site. "Or, apparently, O''Connor in the middle of the park" when he is clearly a striker and his name is Garry not Gary." Earlier piece had Brian Clough resurrected from the dead and managing Derby.

They would sell their entire club for 2 million...I hope we get S.I, he would be great for us at this level.
-
"The bid is said to be just 200,000 punds. RBK are in principle not willing to sell. " Rosenborg website.. so the 2 mil was 200k. They want more but looks as if we are going for him. Good stuff!
-
I''d take him and I am sure we bid, but 2 million is hilarious. probably 600K max. Isn''t he out of contract in the summer?

team to face donny

If I was a betting man I''d gamble on the team the last two posters have. Carney keeping the shape while hoops gets a free role. -
oh lord...

thats it ...start having a go at gunn!!!!
@NYCANARIES replied to singing canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The second goal was a howler. Grounds was asleep. Can''t blame that on management. -
Aussie international, he has been good when i see him, this tells me that we are going to play 5 and hoops behind a forward. Still need a CB desperately but Im sure thats in the works.

Omozusi is a right back and he has made horrific mistakes at center back also. We need 2 CB''s with experience that know that position, not two, young inexperienced players out of position. I hope that Purse is in place for Friday. -

This thread is nonsense. The man has had two games and we have not lost. If you watch the second goal last night you will see how embarrassing it was. Grounds, (a left back who Roeder brought in to play out of position) was 3-4 yards away from his man (Saganowski) and when the cross came in he made a pathetic little jump to head it, clearly realizing he was out of position and stranded. Looks as if Gunn is trying to bring in a CB in Purse to play there and he needs some patience from the supporters. Last night they could have had 4 in the first half and looked good. Two goals at home should bring 3 points. The weakness at left CB cost us the game last night and it''s an issue that is clearly being addressed..Before last nights game even. It''s annoying to give up 2 goals and especially that second one, but you cannot blame Gunn for having an inexperienced left back playing at CB. He inherited that situation and was stuck with it. Situation is dire, but the man needs support, not abuse. -
We are in desperate need for a CB and Purse is very good. As for Ched, so what...They can afford him and we can''t. Leaking goals is what we really can''t afford.
-
Well said my New York amigo.

score tonight vs saints ??????
@NYCANARIES replied to city-till-i-die's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Berkshire is correct. Saints have won 5 games on the road and thats form associated with a play off placed team. -
And if he fails he leaves you with a squad of players you don''t want and the prosepect of having to start again. Called Peter Grant Syndrome. Call me nuts but I actually think the squad we have is decent, just needs a forward and center half or two. This bunch need motivation and focus not the upheveal of a new man and new team mates. Either way it''s a mute point isn''t it. Up the City.
-
Who knows, but he was saying that he would go to a Championship club and that he had had offers since getting the tin-tack at Rovers.
-
Lucky escape there. Just listened to him on five live podcast and he will only go to a club where he can bring in his own players. He lamented not building a team at Blackburn. He would have elbowed a bunch of players and started again. Another backward step avoided.
