1. I''ve just seen what has been added to this thread since I posted. There are a few good points, in both why you guys would understand my annoyance at the situation/suggestions - and also the fact I did not go about making my point as well as I could.Obviously yesterday was a pretty frustrating day, and one which seemed to get quite personal at times (I''m not talking about the club''s statement). But CA, just to be clear, I apologise for my first post yesterday. It didn''t need to be written in that way.I''m not particularly up for getting fellow City fans'' backs up at the moment - it seems I have enough of an issue with those employed by the club.
 2.

Just a story made up bt a journo from the EEN then according to the club website.
Careful. That''s a big slight on me, saying I made up a story. Probably defamatory.I did not make the story up, and I''ve never written a story I have "made up".And I don''t appreciate the suggestion either, so you know.
Although, clearly you''re quoting the club - so I''m not directing that at you City Angel. Apologies if it comes across as such.

 4. We''re pretty peeved here too, as Pete said.Obviously there''s the selfish side that I wouldn''t get to see and share so many City games! But also it seems to be a draconian response from Data Co - who are owned by PA and control the licencing rights for the Premier and Football League - because the don''t really have an up to date licence covering live text commentary on the internet. So they''re just banning it instead. No one wins, we all lose. And it''s not just here - there are plenty of other papers across the country who do something similar for their teams. Anyway, rest assured we will try and sort something in time for the new season - be it what we did last season, or as close to that as we can get.In the meantime, we may as well make some noise about it.
 5.

Not necessarily. The club have stopped players giving interviews on numerous occasions this season so I wouldn''t read too much into it to be honest. I suppose it''s even more sensitive with fraser not being our player and maybe they just didn''t want him to inadvertently say something that his own club might not be happy with.
Oh really? Who and why?
Most, if not all, of the squad at different times and for different reasons. Just the way it works now.
 6. We are putting together a package of articles to recollect City''s Milk Cup triumph in 1985 - 25 years ago this month. Please share your memories of the Canaries'' run by emailing reporter Pete Walsh - peter.walsh@archant.co.uk A selection will then be used in the Evening News next week. Thanks all.
 7.

No he wasn''t, he was in France, Michael Bailey confirmed this on his twitter...
that''s what happens if you believe ''junior reporters''
Too harsh... ;)Clearly he wasn''t in France. Considering he seemed surprised to find out there was a game on last night when I asked him, it was either a bit of kidology on his part or a late invitation. We''ll see how it all pans out.
 8. Good debate here guys and interesting to read.PurpleCanary, I''ve borrowed your post - I hope you don''t mind. Also, here''s an answer to why there were not more quotes from David McNally. Simply put, because there were no more: www.edp24.co.uk/sportsblogAnyway, that''s me done on the subject.

I''m enjoying the build up to Saturday''s game much more. Seriously, it''s hard work making sure I don''t get too worked up - otherwise I''ll never get my interview with Mr Cowling. At least I get to be in the stands proper for Saturday - the first time in at least two seasons.
Send Mr Cowling my love wont you....saturday will be brilliant. I have''nt felt like this all season, i really really want to teach them a lesson! For the record....i dont ignore you....but please....next time, can you not build it up like that [;)] I was in a strop all day! Enjoy the game.
I''ll try, honest. But there are a lot of people who love building things up, as you can imagine.I''m not one of them, obviously.

 17.
Wonder if he''d wear a "Holt says Chillax" t-shirt...
Now you can hear Holty rip the peas: www.edp24.co.uk/sportsblogTop, top man.PS: I''m still working on the T-shirt idea...
 18. Cracking effort guys, good work. And sorry it took a little longer to post the reply: Notes from a Sportsdesk
 19. Well he was on his mobile in Colney''s car park this morning, so he didn''t go for long.
 20.

Lets examine the evidence. Accounts put back for a rigorous overhall: City officials had already confirmed that the annual meeting''s postponement is down to a "rigorous review" of the club''s operations and it is believed a similar reason lies behind the delay in Norwich''s accounts arriving at Companies House.Filing the accounts late with the registrar is a far less serious matter for the club than doing similar with its tax return; City have until next May to complete that ritual. But the Canaries are still likely to be on the end of a fine, which amounts to £1,500 if the accounts arrive between one and three months late. Then there will be the hit to City''s credit rating - however that, along with the modest fine, is unlikely to have a significant effect on the club''s restructuring plans which officials at Carrow Road would admit are taking precedence.Ian Fitch, partner at Norwich chartered accountants firm Larking Gowen, said: "Accounts are one of the many factors that contribute to a company''s credit rating and late accounts, of course, are not helpful. "But in the short-term it is unlikely to make any difference to the club''s existing supplier relationships, which are no doubt well managed. Businesses sometimes file accounts late for strategic reasons."Those reasons could involve trying to secure extra finance as part of the club''s financial restructuring, something which looks likely to be clarified at the Canaries'' annuual meeting next year Trust me, if the Board are willing to take a fine, a dent to the clubs credit rating, not selling key players,  giving Paul Lambert a transfer budget and are not running around like headless chickens over that Essex -pub team..........then somethings afoot. NEW INVESTMENT! [Y]
Where did you get that from? It''s full of a fair amount of cr@p.
Ah spotted the source now. I can''t believe they''ve gone to a no mark accounting firm to get a meaningless quote. Also, who says filing the tax return late would be a serious issue? Geez...some people just make it up
Brilliant stuff, Simon. Keep it up... ;)
 21. As Nutty asked so nicely, CHARLTON will beat Southend at home, almost certainly. The Shrimpers are terrbile away from home and Charlton need the points before they implode in January. Good times.
