Oulton Hall?

I do agree technically it was a foul, but never a penalty as it doesn’t prevent a goal scoring opportunity!
No such thing as 'accidental handball' anymore.

Average players
Poor manager
An inability to defend
An inability for our defenders to complete basic 10 yard passes.
Worst of all, we went into today with a negative mindset.

not every 2/1 poke drifts to 11/1 and gets strangled as its coming to win the race though. Do something like that and you carry the can for it
I think it's the worse stopping job I've ever seen.

Ownership was in someone else's name.
Dual ownerships are fine, as long as each person is named.
Syndicates are fine as long as there is one registered syndicate manager.
Even a Company can own an horse, as long as there is registered owner.

On the day in question,
The horse in question
Was not officially owned by Ashley Barnes.

Having said that, some of the defences he faces are pretty poor, but so were Cardiff's and Rotherham's.
I still don't think he would suit a Wagner team, though. Judging by those highlights, it seems that Dusseldorf are often happy for him to lurk on the left wing and not have to roam all over the pitch like Sainz does, for example.
As for not being up to the physicality of the league, I doubt this. He's chunky and he's got four yellows this season, more than any other Dusseldorf player.
Overall, I still can't shake off the feeling that we wasted him and that, given time and encouragement, he would have improved from a poor first season in the same way that Sargent has.
We'll never know now.
Since when do you have to be athletic to get a yellow card?

i.e. Did they want access to his phone and private texts, or simply a log of who he had called over a certain period?
Owners, trainers and jockeys are obliged to give us (The BHA) their phone records.
Since Barnes isn't/wasn't an 'official owner' he doesn't have to.
A full download is usually completed.

Madderz was at Derby away, 1-1 draw iirc.
Hux was at Scunny away

I remember Scunny being woeful.

If I recall, he ended up going on loan to a French side who were the only club to show an interest - surely this fact is pretty revealing and demonstrates what other teams thought of him.
Coupled with the fact that after leaving Norwich he never did anything at a high level.
I genuinely can't understand why some of our fans still hold this view about him, maybe it's just a convenient stick to beat Hootun with, who I will accept was a pretty uninspiring manager for us.
Watching RVW was painful at times, it was like playing with ten men - he offered nothing, was physically weak and didn't work hard enough to get in front of defenders. Seemed a lovely boy and a handsome fellow, but one of our worst ever signings.
You remember that Finish lad,
Was at Brondby or somewhere, contract ran out, no one really wanted him other than this little Championship team,
Wonder what happened to him?
Moral of the story you, can't judge him on the fact that no wanted him.
Also,
RvW went to top level France and Spain.
And scored 100ish goals after leaving us, even after having a brain tumour.

If used properly,
RvW would have taken us to Europe.

I'm sure some will call it divisive. But that's because they don't like it. If this thread gets locked I hope they throw away the key...
You can though, look at our run with Dean Smith, we were top an unbeaten in 12, late October.
I think you have to consider how poor a Championship it is with Leicester, Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich all putting in similar runs to us.

Been dreadful to watch,
You have to LOL at Ivory Coast sacking their manager mid tournament and making it to the final!

And another, pub footballer at best.

RvW was a quality striker who we completely mis used.
Absolutely,
We could have had R9 up top that season and he wouldn't have scored in that system.

That 15-20 minute period after HT was probably the best period we've had all season.
Leeds couldn't get the ball back, we pressed and won every second ball, we made the crowd frustrated and hostile, it's just a shame we couldn't create a goal.

Team with no money, linked with no players - Shocker.

As this Wagner thing gone full circle?
We were dreadful against Hull but won - Credit to Wagner.
We were good tonight but lost - credit to Wagner.

You don’t play two strikers if you want to play possession based football. You don’t sign Duffy and Batth. You probably don’t sign players like Stacy and Sainz whose main strength on the offensive is carrying the ball at pace. Likewise you don’t give Onel a new contract and release Dowell.
If this is orchestrated then my next question would be,
Is this a change of philosophy from Stuart Webber?
Or something he has allowed Wagner to proceed with?
Would feel like a long term ploy if you're correct about buying them player types and extending contracts.

35 minutes ago, Thirsty Lizard said:Okay, okay it's basically just a posh way of saying "scoring on the break", but we've recently become rather good at this haven't we?
Both goals yesterday came from us winning the ball deep in our own half and then slicing West Brom to pieces at pace on the break. Add this to Sargent's goal against Southampton and Barnes' goal against Sheffield Wednesday. Even Rowe's goal at Hull up to a point, although this came from him winning a loose ball in midfield rather than a team build up.
Very pleasing to see and totally gives the lie to those who have claimed that Wagner only has one way of playing blah, blah, blah.
But is this really a ploy/strategy/tactic?
Or a bi-product of us struggling to retain possession?

I'll be there but doing the corporate gig with a Leeds fan which comes with unlimited beer, so won't be doing the pubs.
Plenty of pubs/bars walking distance from Leeds train station.
