  1. I cashed out last night, I had c25 bets on Arsenal, Norwich, Sheff Wed and Bradford all coming top6, top7 in Bradford's case. Would have paid £2,400 Last night I cashed most of them, accepting around £325. Some of them (made with free bets) can't be cashed out and Paddy Power dramatically undervalued them, so I have a few remaining. After QPR, I'm broken I said 10 points (from 4 games) would be enough but I can't see us winning the last 3.
  2. We started the season with almost the same squad that won, one if not two Championships, at a canter. That in Mid-October were nine unbeaten and top of the league....
  3. I love that comment on there "They're trying to get in the playoffs And we're trying to avoid relegation So it comes down to who has the most desire"
  4. I'm *gulp* fully in agreement with Lakey here. I'm not a happy clapper by any stretch of the imagination, I consider myself a proper realist but I can't believe the negativity across the board. It's far from over, in fact the only people who can stop us, is ourselves. I hope the boys who have made it to Loftus Rd get behind the boys and make it happen
  5. Not making the playoffs is unacceptable. If tonights result confirms that, then yes.
  6. To make the playoffs? We certainly can't do it without a win tomorrow and a win against Blackpool, but I think 4 points from Swansea/WBA may just be enough. Considering Blackburn have two games in hand over Millwall with just a two point deficit, you'd think they would be in a strong position but all 5 of their remaining games are against teams hunting for the playoffs, for the auto spot or their fierce and league winner rivals Burnley. Although Millwall currently sit highest, it's no longer in their own hands, though they do have Wigan and Blackpool to play who for sure will be relegated in the next week or so, with what may turn out to be a 6th place decider against Blackburn on the last day. WBA have gone under the radar, in fact it shows how poor the division has been to see them sat in 6th, their recent form isn't great either. They have 4 tough games, Sunderland away, Sheff Utd, Us and Swansea. Sunderland are down to just three games remaining, WBA, Watford and Preston, they surely have to win all them. Coventry go to Blackburn tomorrow, then have Reading, Birmingham and a Midd'boro who are playoff assured and likely to be prepping for their semi final. Preston have a tricky 4 games, Swansea Blackburn, Sheff Utd and that final game against Sunderland We're going to need a little luck, but with so many of these teams cutting each others throats, we might have a real chance, if we can beat QPR and Swansea and go into the WBA game in a position where a point would mean that beating Blackpool confirmed a playoff place id be chuffed. My heart says we'll knick 6th.
  7. We were top of the league Unbeaten in 9 - mid-October. Hard to remember I know.
  8. If all it needed was a 'man manager' then Neil Warnock should have got the job. Still maintain that there was enough talent/experience in the squad to be promoted this season.
  9. Jesus wept, It might be the Norovirus but this is the second time I've agreed with you today. The Leeds game swayed me to 'Farke Out' after he abandoned his principles. But to sack him after a win and without a replacement/plan or Strategy was suicidal. An error Webber replicated by leaving it until after the WC to sack Smith.
  10. I think only very few actually personally turned on him, Most although they thought it was the right decision at the time, felt incredibly sad about it. I compared it to putting the family pet down, obviously sad but ultimately the for the best. In hindsight was it the right decision? Well no but that also doesn't mean it was the wrong decision, just the recruitment of Smith was ridiculously poor and as I said at the time completely devoid of any strategy. You have to appreciate it's a results based business Otherwise it'd be like letting the wife off cheating because you've had some good times in-between.
  11. I think the real question is, If we needed a manager now, is there a better candidate than Farke available?
  12. If it's any consolation I completely agree with you that the football club needs a refresh and reset, from the top down, right through to the players. There's no cohesion between fans, players or the club - it's been a pretty toxic environment since Farke got wobbly. It's just too simplistic yet too difficult to be reality However, Webber still has a small amount of credit in my bank, which is decreasing month by month but is enough to carry us into next season with promotion an absolute must. For a couple of reasons, He's given us two unbelievable years. The first relegation wasn't as bad as most make out on here, I loved watching 'our' young boys take on the best and up until Covid we weren't embarrassed. Last season with hindsight was dreadful, but pre season most fans were happy with our recruitment, gapping hole at DM aside. I became Farke out after the Leeds game, after he went against his principles and went all long ball. But Webber was then wrong to sack him after a victory. It is also my belief that there was absolutely no plan whatsoever when when Webber sacked Farke. Dean Smith and everything since as been dreadful. Whilst I'm not anti Wagner, his appointment was lazy and uninspiring. Realistically if the take over does bear fruition in the summer, than I can see a 'hand over' season whereby Webber works alongside the Americans until they bring their own football man in.
  13. Yes, like I said, you've been very quiet this year, there's only been a couple of 'come on let's be having you' posts immediately after a defeat
  14. So play who? The only 'wingers' we have fit are Hernandez, Tzolis and Marquinhos. Hernandez in patches aside, none have been effective. Games have come thick and fast so rotation has been required too.
  15. Who are you to decide whether they are harmless or not? You've been much quieter this season than last, But if you don't understand that posting pro unsubstantiated nonsense after each dribbling doesn't goad or wind people up then you have an incredible lack of emotional intelligence
  16. Look, I agree that it's not over, we're very much still in it. But I refuse to converse with you, you intentionally come on here to goad, start conflict or just wind people up.
  17. Due to clubs playing each other, I believe it's still mathematically in our hands.
  18. It's almost man for man the same team and squad. Our second Championship win was with players "that came down from the premier league in hilariously bad fashion" "time moves on, none of us are the same we were yesterday. Our competition moved on." Funny how you only see the negatives, We've got Krul's successor in Gunn. Max and Andrew O are another years more experienced. Greek has another year to become accustomed to English football. We have Gibbs and arguably our best CM in years in Sara. We have a player who represented his country at the world cup. Nunez who has shown glimpses of brilliance. There's no excuse for this players not being in the top two.
  19. 1. If the playoffs was a prerequisite, then surely he'd of got a 6 month deal. 2. Surmising 3. If we don't make play offs his stock is at an all time low, it's not like he'll be a wanted man. 4. Not necessarily true at all, there have been some positive signs under Wagner and he has mitigation around player injury and having 3 strikers that couldn't hit a barn door. 5. Agree, but to bring in new ownership, some sort of Sporting Director (if they do replace Webber) and sack Webber in time for August is unlikely. 6. Our only saving grace is that it's not an expensive process.
