1.
Funny how Lincoln jumps in immediately in support. Knocking the club solidly then and now.
McNally and Bowkett were the best thing that’s happened to this club in years. Towards the end of Mcnallys tenure it appeared he was struggling, hence the comments at that time. Now as we know, he had his hands tied. I’d take the two back in a flash over the second hand car salesman Webber and doomcaster mk2 Stone.
 2. The run will end tomorrow I fear and confidently predict. They have plenty of work rate and desire, despite their lack of abillity. Our superior abillity has seen us through in recent years, but now there’s not much in it. It’s all down to who wants it more tomorrow, and I’m concerned it’ll be them. We’re not a dig in, body on the line type of side.
 3. Russ has been mr dependable for Norwich over the years. Full of the old attributes, passion and work rate, he’s made to be a fan favourite and was part of a very successful over achieving side. He’d never have made it out of league one if it wasn’t for Lambert, but took his chance and is regarded a club legend by most. However, this thread is two years too late and another example of a poor football descion post McNally and Bowkett. Good luck Russ, I’m sure you have a season or two left in the lower leagues. I expect a player manager role may be not be too far away. The last of that era gone..
 4.
A -1 handicap ? Is Russ Martin playing ?
No, but Tettey likely will be.
 5. Turn it in, last nights result is papering over the cracks. Anyone seeing this as a turning point or a case to support Farkes football is deluded.
 6.
Are we any good at set pieces at the moment?
Defending? No we''re pretty bad. Attack? Better than defending them, but nothing special.
 7. The calls for Farkes head will be loud and clear if we lose at Ipswich. Last nights result is irrelevant. Norwich Reserves won at Cardiff Reserves, lets be realistic about this.
 8. Krul Pinto Hanley Goodfrey Lewis Thompson Leitner Marshall Buendia Hernamdez Pukki
 9.
The only way to fit all 4 in would be to have two defensive midfielders filling in behind them. Pukki, Buendia and Hernandez interchanging behind Rhodes with two of Tettey, Thompson, Godfrey and Trybull sitting in behind could work. The issue then would be who/how we''d get the ball from defence to those attackers without leaving ourselves exposed.
Leitner is the only link man we have. It has to be him next to Thompson or Trybull for me. I''d go with; Thomson Leitner Hernandez Buendia Marshall Pukki Whatever we do, Farke has to find a team and stick with it.
 10.
I didn''t want Rhodes five years ago and hes well, five years older. I''ve not seen a player who is "desperate to succeed" either. I''m confused by the love affair around Pukki too. Done nothing that screams to me that he is a player to get us out of this mess.
Have to agree with this. I think the desperation for Pukki and Rhodes to succeed causes fans to overreact at any average performance. Pukki can certainly finish, but I don''t know why is being played as a number 10. He''s been an out an out striker for the last three years at Bronby. Is this a case square pegs in round holes from Farke again? People will say its intricate and intelligent approach play that better serves him in the 10 role, but in reality his anonymous for large spells of the game. I''d like to see Pukki played up top instead of Rhodes, with Buendia in the 10 role.
 11.
Any chance to put a negative slant on things eh Lincoln ?
Just going on the previous evidence of such signing.
 12.
Mistake? Lots of things to criticise Webber and Farke for, but I''d say their previous purchase of a German-based winger is one thing they''ve got spot on so far.
Hasn''t had a sniff in the last two games, and was average at best last season. So best not get carried away.
 13. Nice to see Webber and Farke learning from their mistakes..... FFS!
 14. He’s certainly not good enough to bear all the weight of our goal scoring burden this season. We should stop messing around with Srbreny, and bring in some proper competition / alternative. Scott Hogan from Villa would be a perfect compliment.
 15.
Shaun, you''re making a lot of assumptions the main one being that our recent history would have been better if the club was sold. You have only attempted to back this up by putting forward clubs whose recent history is better. Why are you so convinced of this?
And with regard to the community engagement stuff... the only example of a negative impact you’ve put forward is Ipswich, when there far more clubs that support the opposite, which you’ve ignored.
 16.

Out of interest, how many football clubs have actually gone bust since the introduction of the Premier League? Yes, a few have had serious financial issues and administration, but to my knowledge, none have ever gone out of business. And most clubs suffering financial woes have bounced back. So Purple, and others, comments like ''gambling with the clubs future'' is a little hysterical and over the top. Take a risk, or risk being competitive at League One level. The fact is we''re being overtaken by clubs like Brentford and Wigan.
If you really think the specifics I mentioned, which included being forced into administration and relegation, and breaking FFP, are not gambling with the future of a club then I am glad you are nowhere near the Norwich City boardroom.
You mean like all those other clubs that have gone bust? Oh wait...... Speculate to accumulate. If you were near the boardroom you''d over see a receding business, constantly losing out to its competitors, and downgrading to a comfortable low risk small enterprise employing low skilled and unambitious employees. Hang on, perhaps you are actually near the boardroom?
 17.
I have continually explained Lincoln.
You haven''t explained anything. 1. why would the community engagement suffer if a wealthier owner was at the helm? Surely it might improve? 2. How is our Community engagement different and superior to other clubs such as Man City?
 18.

Not by whatever means possible Nutty no. Where do you get that from? People should go and have a look at what Man Cutys owners have done in the local area and what they do in the community. No doubt many of our fans would have been deeply oppposed if they had wanted to buy us.
And here we go again by listing clubs to try and prove a point. You send me to Citeh and I''ll send you to ipswich. And so on...
No, you think Norwich are superior to most other clubs in terms of community engagement. Can you explain why you have this view? That''s the reason Citeh were mentioned.
 19.

This whole discussion is pretty pointless as the clubs not for sale, the near future has already been laid out but the curren5 owners who said the fans may not like it! Some do some don’t, I couldn’t give two hoots who owns the club, or what debt it’s the City’s team and I just want to watch the highest level of football with the best players we can afford, at the moment they’re not that good. At what point will manageable debt be talked about and accepted?
I was replying to this Lincoln.I also don''t think we have the same idea of what a community club is.
Don''t we? So how do you define it? And how does it differ to my view, or the community efforts at most other clubs? I''d be really interested to know.
 20.
Once we don''t care about the value of the club to the community or the community to the club I wonder how long it will be before a franchise would be preferable if the money was right.
Eh? Who wants the club to sacrifice any connection with the local community? Is this what has happened at Leicester, Pompey, Southampton, Leeds etc, etc..... the answer is no! They are all still community focused clubs as much as we are.

 23. Impossible to be postitive about anything with regard to the club right, but, I’ll try. Louis Thompson has started and needs a run of games. I genuinely believe he’s going to be very good at this level. Buendia looked class against Preston. Hopefully he’ll now start and improve us. Sounds like Godfrey might be given a go soon too, that’s a positive. Apart from that, there’s little else. Farke still doesn’t know his best side, and his continued faith in players not up to it is damaging us. The only way Farke will turn this around is another unbeaten run similar to last year. There’s too much damage to undo right now, and one or two positive results in isolation won’t repair it. Looking at our fixtures and our lack of cohesion and strategy, another unbeaten run is miles off. I think Farkes lost too many fans now and needs to go. I don’t like Webber, but it would be a total embarrassment to abandon the sporting director role so soon, so fortunately for him most fans will afford him another managerial appointment.
 24.
Having read through this entire thread I''ve concluded that that there is an equal quantity of fantasists, pant wetters, and realists. The winner for best spin has to go to Lakey for his(it''s not as bad as you think) missing game. Best level heads shared by Nutty and purple. Best pant wetter has to be the original poster. My personal view of our manager has never really changed since he arrived, out of his depth. Director of football,a one trip pony(that being at his last club). Current board, they have the best interests of the club in mind. The one thing i''d change is the chairman,Ed Balls is nothing but a figure head and not a very good one. Get another ballsy chairman and CEO duo in asap and dump Webber and Farke.
Best interests, lol! I think you rival LDC for spin! Isn’t Ed a ballsy chairman anyway? But your right, we need more steel and better decision making. Exactly like we had with McNally and Bowkett. But Delia doesn’t want that again, she didn’t like it before. So I fail see how you rationale that Delia and co have the clubs best interest at heart.
 25. I think Matt Gill is shaping up to be a very good manager actually.
