1.
Us being in a mini league with scum this season shows just how far mediocrity has been acccepted this season. Bit depressing tbh
Be careful Hoola, you’ll be slated by the bedroom fanatics with realism like that.
 2.
By Norwich through and through do you mean: 1) Make an account on here called Golden Coppell and post about Reading 2) Make pathetically immature rape and death comments towards YOURSELF on this forum. 3) Consistently criticise everything about NCFC and demonstrate a massive, gaping lack of knowledge about our players. Is that Norwich through and through? Pathetic troll that was found out years ago but lingers about because he''s got nothing else to do. That''s the reality.
You need or let it go piggy. Your clinging on to somthing that happened 10 years ago! How pathetic!
 3.

It’s really strange how you get comfort laughing at Ipswich when we’re equally as poor.
Talk about ridiculous comments. Ipswich are the very opposite of us when it comes down to it. Deeply in the proverbial financially, no assets to speak of, either on the pitch or off it. The only similarity there is, is the league position and there the similarities end. We have a great stadium, great community side of the club, a great fanbase, a forward looking coaching set up and some very good players, a club with no debt other than a working overdraft, able to attract top class loan players as well as very talented youngsters. On the pitch we have an ethos that is setting out the way forwards - a systematic development over the next few years based on a tried and tested German philosophy from one of the best clubs in Europe. I can''t imagine any real Norwich supporter who thinks that as a club we are as poor as Ipswich.
To be fair LDC, despite you constantly being on the wind up, I have to admire the persistence and effort you put in to your posts. You must sit back and laugh at the thought of people actually thinking you might be serious!
 4.
You were found out quite a while ago, stop being a jerk
How was I found out then Fenwaythunk?
 5.
I suppose Lincoln could always log into his other account and make ''rape'' comments towards himself, since he''s not getting his own way. If Norwich fans aren''t allowed to take enjoyment from their rivals losing 4-0 (which every other football club down the country does too, by the way), then I''d suggest the person saying that isn''t a Norwich fan. Reading fans are pretty naff fans generally, anyway.
Well as normal, your ‘suggestion’ is wide of the the mark. I’m Norwich through and through.. and you are frustrated at how crap we are and seek comfort at trying to ridicule people on here. You’re pretty easy to work out piggy.
 6.

I think your clutching at straws and trying to find comfort in Ipswich’s suffering, but ultimately you also know we’re no better.
I never said we were better, stop making things up.....
I never said you did.
 7.

It’s really strange how you get comfort laughing at Ipswich when we’re equally as poor.
Any City fan would find it amusing that it''s seven years to the day since we beat them 1-5 at Poorman Rd.But it doesn''t mean much to neutrals I suppose. [:|]
Not really, I just think it brings it home how poor we are. One point ahead of a side who have lost four times more than they’ve won. How is it funny when Ipswich fans just point to the league table to prove were no better? I think your clutching at straws and trying to find comfort in Ipswich’s suffering, but ultimately you also know we’re no better.
 8.
It’s really strange that a Reading supporter posts so much on here
Even stranger the game you play in your head in which I’m a Reading fan.

 10.
He''s happy here and has a long contract. Offer him a huge bonus if we are promoted and then build the team around him. Let''s face it, £25m now or the riches of the Premier League? No contest. I''m aware we have a large black hole to fill but that can be achieved by selling others (Klose, Murphy, Pinto, Watkins, Oliveira, Wildschut, husband, etc) and offering settlements in staged payments to high earners (Martin, Naismith, Jarvis, etc) to get them off the books. The set-up we have now already have a proven success rate with recruitment with players such as Gunn, Read, Vrancic, Hernandez, Hanley, Leitner, Zimmerman and Trybull, so I trust them to fill in the spaces particularly in the striking department.Let''s face it, City have been the better team in most of our games this season, it''s just the failure to find the net that has held us back. With a couple of decent strikers added in the summer and the youngsters coming through, I am confident we can go all the way next season. But that does mean WITH James Maddison. The lad is an exceptional talent which is why so many top Prem teams want him, but another season with us knowing he''ll be the first name on the team sheet hopefully in a successful side can be just as appealing to him as being a bit-part player at a bigger club. Webber and Co. must put up the ''NOT FOR SALE'' signs knowing another successful season with us and his price will soar. And if it fails?Maddison will still be worth £25m in January.
Lol.
 11.
Ive heard a couple of bits, but lets put this into perspective. If Saints come down they will want him and im sure he will be a prominant player in the quest to get them promoted. Leitner is class, ive heard he misses Germany and sees this very much as an opp to get match fit and back playing regularly. I would bloody love him here as he is a class act!
Thanks for the info. Shame Leitner feels that way, he is indeed class and a player I’m very much enjoy watching.
 12.
lincoln " And guess what, as predicted, they’re not good enough. Check the league table for proof. But in January the playoffs were not a million miles away such is the nature of this leagues. Had we improved the squad and plugged the gaps, not make more, we’d have stood a chance. Another failed attempt piggy, keep trying though sweetheart."Yes, that''s the one thing we had in abundance ... money.Cut the money coming in by more than half in June and yet we could have spent heavily in the transfer window and still been able to pay the increased wages over the next few years !Of course we could, if we were the thieves from down the A140 who are happy to ponce off all and sundry and not pay their way. ps your posts reveal more about you and what you stand for than ever they do about OUR club
Likewise pal.
 13.

But in January the playoffs were not a million miles away such is the nature of this leagues.
But in January you said......
Zimmermann, Trybull and Steipermann have all contributed to our current mid to lower league championship position.
Couldn''t find anything to suggest you thought we''d make the play-offs.
That’s because I never said anything that would suggest that.
The bit in red does as does this bit from the previous page.......
We were still in with a shout of the play offs, as proven by the incosistency of those teams from 5-10th
Whereas in January you said.......
Zimmermann, Trybull and Steipermann have all contributed to our current mid to lower league championship position. If the new guys are of similar standard, why on earth do you think we are beginning to shape for a promotion push next season?!

Both statements are true and only sound contridictary (which I believe to be your aim) when taken out of context as you have done.
 14.

You’ve got yourself all confused lappin, it’s probably just that crush you have on piggy clouding your judgement.
 15.
Yet another thread with the intention of ridiculing and criticising a very good Norwich servant, and he’s not even played for the club for months! Some people need to get over this pathological hatred of Russell Martin and get on with their lives.
I’d like to point out that I do not hate Martin, very much the opposite. He’s been a legend and I’d love to see him stay at the club in some role similarly to players such as Hucks and Drury. I consider Martin Norwich through and through. But I recognise he’s at the end of his career now and his abillity is slipping to point where he isn’t effective at standards such as the SPL or championship. Somthing many still can’t grasp!
 16.
Martin was Centre back in the Championship Team of the Year three years ago in a promotion winning team. That would indicate his ability as a centre back. He may have lost form or confidence since then, or he may simply be the proverbial scapegoat. Rangers fans would well know the barracking he got at Norwich - and there is nothing easier to target than an easy target. I have watched endless goals scored against us when Martin was playing where he often was nothing to do with the goal, yet he invariably got the blame for it. Other defenders out of position or midfielders failing to cover or just good play by the opposition. Yes, he made the occasional mistake - which player doesn''t, but overall he hasn''t deserved the rubbish that follows him around, either here or in Scotland.
Lost form or confidence.... you’ve deliberately forgotten abillity, which is more than likely given he’s at the end of his career.
 17.

Still pretty odd. We were still in with a chance of top 6 at the time- the right signing could have propelled us onwards. Instead we bought in a guy who managed 5 minutes on the pitch for us. As others said at the time, it isn''t our job to put Spurs lost boys back on the straight and narrow.
I think this is the key point. We were still in with a shout of the play offs, as proven by the incosistency of those teams from 5-10th, and the run of Millwall, and we decided to let a star player in Pritchard go and replace him with Edwards. Therefore righting off any chance we had.
You of all people thought we stood a chance of play offs? And there I was thinking you said none of our players were good enough 4 games in to the season...
And guess what, as predicted, they’re not good enough. Check the league table for proof. But in January the playoffs were not a million miles away such is the nature of this leagues. Had we improved the squad and plugged the gaps, not make more, we’d have stood a chance. 18.
"You criticised my view that Martin would struggle. He is struggling, therefore you were wrong."He made a mistake and did struggle in that match in a poor defence, in a team totally outclassed by a far superior Celtic. Seems like a fair time to define his entire time in Scotland as a "struggle"?Apples
And in the same breath, Celtic are an SPL rival to Rangers. Therfore performances against them shouldn’t be disregarded when considering Martins abillity to perform for Rangers in the SPL. I said Rangers fans would ultimately be unimpressed with Martin, which they do appear to be. Regardless of the parameters they are using to judge him. Apples, you suggested Martin would be a success, and the SPL would be a easy transition for him. You we’re wide of the mark on this occasion, and wrong to arrogantly shoot me down for predicting otherwise.
 19.
I think I said he could do a solid and decent job for them, compared him to other ex-championship players (Berra, Lafferty, Mulumbu) who are all playing well at SPL standard and went on to say he would be fine with the pressure and being at a team like Rangers. Is that being adamant he was going to be a hit?He made a mistake for Celtic''s second goal yesterday but if Rangers fans think their problems are all due to Russell Martin they must be as myopic as some of our fans. Their team is poor and they are playing poorly. It''s good that Lincoln raises these issues, he must keep a list to remember all these previous comments...that and to remember who he is, and who he supports, on any particular day.Apples
Well back heeled Apples. You criticised my view that Martin would struggle. He is struggling, therefore you were wrong.
 20. According to Mr Apples and Ian, and a few others, Martin was clearly going to be a hit for Rangers in the SPL. Absolutely adamant they were. I think it was quite obvious Martin would struggle with the expectation of a club like rangers. He’d have been better off dropping a league or two and staying in England.
 21. Next season will follow suit. There’s nothing to suggest otherwise. This season has been the one of the poorest seasons I can remember. Bar a 1 nil win at Ipswich, plus two last minute equalisers at home to Ipswich and away to Chelsea, there’s literally been noting to stir any postive emotion. We’re back. Back to mid table mediocracy of the late 90s.
