1. Row A Seat 87, so not far off, no.I''m not aware of this particular idiot, though I''m sure I''ve heard him- but your description could aptly describe any of the people behind me.There''s a bloke behind me (Row B seat 70 something) who called Lansbury a gobby, arrogant tw4t several times against Millwall, and of course we all know what happened there...I took great delight in turning round and screaming ONE HENRI LANSBURY in his face.
2. I do agree mate, but it leaves the conundrum of, if we do leave Wes to do what he does, do we start with him if we''re playing say, Arsenal away, and hope he has an awesome game, or do we play it more conservatively?
3. Wes tends to be deployed in a ''free role in the hole'', at least during the last two seasons. Will we have to place constraints on the Hoolahan game, or do we risk letting him loose as we have been doing and risk being caught out on the break every so often as he loses the ball in midfield (the result of any quality midfielder who regularly tries the killer play)I just fear that the creme de la creme in the Prem (apparently I''m a poet) won''t be so forgiving on the break.Thoughts?
4.
You could do Culverhouse a favour and tell them to shut up yourself.  I don''t get why people sit in the ground around people they clearly can''t stand and yet never say anything until behind a keyboard.
Mostly Chops it''s because I still sit next to my grandmother who is friends with a lot of these people, and them being mostly 50 years my senior means I feel I should show a little restraint, but occasionally I do have to have a word.
5. I''d like to start by saying that for my sins I''ve been a season ticket holder in the front row of the City Stand, right next to the home dugout since my grandmother brought me to my first game at the age of three in the 1997-98 season- (and I''m sure the more witty members of this forum will earmark me as a member of the living dead as a result)To your eternal dismay I actually have a complaint to make about some of the elder fans in the City Stand. (Complain? City Stand? Never.) Now, I understand that anyone who pays such a large amount of money for a season ticket reserves the right to do whatever they please, and I appreciate that- but some of the sheer idiocy I hear baffles me. You would think that after watching us for ''40 years'' as many of them often tell me after I''m forced to correct another ''Bring Cody on'' by telling them he''s out on loan for the umpteenth time, or a ''Go on Korey'' when Simeon''s on the ball, they would, if not recognise our players, at least know what patient build up play is.A patient approach to attacking play has been the foundation of a lot of our success, and often we see Wardy to Whitbread to Wardy to Ruddy to Whitbread to Wardy ad infinitum, but suddenly there''s an opening and the pass is slipped through to Foxy who smashes a pass out wide to the Norfolk Cafu and we''re on the attack.Unfortunately as soon as we attempt patient build up, the bleating of ''GET IT FORWARD'' etc begins, and sometimes even a well placed 60 yard pass is dismissed as a ''hoof to nobody'' while its still in midair. As a result of this unrelenting idiocy, poor old Ian Culverhouse has had to turn round several times and scream ''SHUT UP!'' at the bleaters who clearly don''t understand the fabric of the game. It''s quite embarrassing that I sit among them at times like these.I just feel that some of these people should be sent on a crash course in football management before they come back to Carrow Road.Rant over.
6. I posted a thread about my cousin needing a ticket for the Coventry game as he was coming down from Uni. Various people mocked the thread and made no attempt to be helpful, and it is thanks to none of you that he eventually found someone on here offering his season ticket for the game (thanks whoever you were). So yeah, grow up, basically, we''re all Norwich fans, aren''t we?
7. I thought Jackson was a lightweight headless chicken at first but over the last 6 or 7 games he''s really impressed with his work rate and movement, his finishing looks a lot sharper too. Maybe he''s just a delayed settler, but there''s no reason why, playing the way he is, he won''t score against the scum and score another one.
8. we play better with Crofts at the base of midfield. Fact
9. Yeah but I''m not the only one who thinks that, feel free to ask around. How do you even know how good I think he is, okay I said he''s the Messi of the Championship but in terms of creativity and build, the comparisons are there, he tears teams apart in this league, and maybe this is his level, maybe he can do it in the Prem, who knows?
10.
This really isnt about how good/not so good Wes is. But, there you go again, players of ''Wes''s calibre'' CHAMPIONSHIP calibre!!! He is not Messi nor Ronaldo, he is playing the football of his life and still only playing in the Championship and doesnt get a look in when it comes to his international side Whilst I dont think he is the player you think he is, you must realise you have him on a pedastal and he isnt quite as good as you think he is!
I''ve seen many people on here saying Wes should be in the ROI setup, and I agree. No of course he''s not Messi or Ronaldo, but he is one of the highest calibre players in the Championship..and last I checked, that''s the league we''re in.You gonna tell Barca fans that Messi won''t change the result of a La Liga match yet?
11. I didn''t say he definitely would, i said to say he categorically WOULDN''T is stupidity.Of course, to say he definitely would is stupid. But players of Wes''s calibre are sought after worldwide because they are ''game-changers'' who have the ability to make a killer pass through a resilient defence.Which is why, regardless of bias, to say that such a player WOULD NOT change the result is idiocy.
12.
Ive done nothing but praise him latly, so that doesnt wash anymore!! We had our chances we wernt good enough, were still 2nd have have it in our hands. No need for the doom and gloom, and no need for ''If Wes would have played we''d have won today''
Maybe, but its testament to how good he is that the only time you can criticise him is when he DOESN''T play. You get one chance to twist a poor result into slandering Wes, and you take it.He is the most technically gifted player we possess, to say he wouldn''t make a difference is stupidity.
13.
We had chances and missed them! And he wouldnt have been able to do anything to prevent the goals! Some posts on here are saying that is total proof that we need him in our team, but not even Wes would have changed that result today. Take away them 2, 25 yard strikes and we matched them everywhere. Sinclair must have had an ''off day'' today cause he caused us no danger what-so-ever. But to be fair the Swansea fans must be thinking the same about Holt.
Yawn.Predictable, unsubstantiated Wes hate from a predictable, unsubstantiated Wes hater. He would have made a hell of a difference, as he has this season and the last.Grow up.
14. I''m 16 years old and missed five home games since 1997, got my season ticket at three years old. None of that matters, only mentioning it because of your veiled criticism of my support of the club. I apologise wholeheartedly for not trawling through Hoolahan stats. Pertaining to the fact that I can''t remember how many he''s scored for us ( a fair few) but can remember the three misses (there may be one more, not sure): Colchester, QPR and today. Surely that shows how successful he''s been as a penalty taker, and a brilliant creative force for the club? Lambert said on the radio if Wes shows he wants it, he can have the next one. So clearly it is you who doesn''t pay enough attention to the club, not me. Thanks for your time.
15.
Sometimes I wonder how many people on this board actually go to games or even support City, to the extent that they know a bit about the club. How can someone say Wes has probably ''taken 10-20 penalties and missed, what 3?'' There is quite a considerable difference between missing 3 out of 10 and 3 out of 20, is there not? It seems to be the comment of someone who has no idea how many pens Wes has actually taken. Missing a third of pens and missing a sixth, is significantly different, lets hope Lambert knows the correct stats. For the record, todays pen was unprofessional and I suspect we will never see Wes take another. Not only did it stop us going 2-1 up (pens are often missed, I accept that) but the nature of how absurd it was, seemed to knock the wind completely out of out sails and certainly affected Wes.
I''m 16 years old and missed five home games since 1997, got my season ticket at three years old. 16. I think people forget that Wes used to play for Blackpool. He obviously still harbours dislike for Preston. When he played for Pool v Preston he tried the same thing and scored, and it went down in Blackpool folklore as a magical moment of individual craft. If it had gone in today, we would all be praising the fact he had the balls and the cheek to go for such an audacious penalty. Besides, he''s taken probably 10-20 pens, and missed what...three? Technically, he''s our best player by a country mile. You''re a bloody idiot if you don''t think so.
17. Goes to The Sun, who showed a picture of Aaron Wilbraham''s disallowed goal against QPR with the caption ''Russell Martin opens the scoring for Norwich City with a 12th minute drive'' or similar. Now forgive me, but in the picture the ball was still rolling up the net with Wilbraham next to it....I know Russ has some pace when he gets going but for him to be standing next to his 12th minute drive it was either a tap in, or he''s Usain Bolt. Ffs.
18.
http://www.justin.tv/broughcity/b/276852829
I hate to have to refer you to the above mate, really i do :(
19. People are so easily fooled. One of them says Middlesborough v Norwich, but clearly just links to a paysite scam.
20. Correct, though my grip on life is vaguely retained enough to string this sentence together. Happy new year!...for later.
21.
I can''t understand why he wouldn''t now stay until the end of the season - if anything this injury helps that cause because he''s only featured in a few games and therefore the loan spell so far has been pretty unsuccessful from that point of view. It''s not going to benefit him or Arsenal if he went back, or went to a different club on loan so unless either we don''t want him or can''t afford to contribute to his wages then i''d be suprised if it''s not announced next week that it''s being extended to the end of the season.
Yep, it all looks promising, the lad is different class, and that''s saying something, cos we''re not half bad.
