What it should have said is that Ameobi passed his medical with us yesterday and is with us day today and Jim hopes to have the deal tied up today!! The fee being agreed as you say is old news!!

According to our official site, He was in Ipswich all day yesterday, had a medical and is with us all day today with a view to sealing the deal!! So I''m not sure I believe that!

People like Amrobi and Nugent are exactly the things we despise about football, young 20 somethings, happy to not play any football and pick up 30k a week wages, they clealry have no pride or ambition! Redknapp has told Nugent he doesn''t want him and would love to see him leave, yet he is to thick skinned to consider dropping a division and actually playing football again in order to resurrect his flagging career!! Strikers from the lower leagues, seems to be the way to go for most ccc sides now i think!!

When were in the premier league if Marcus Evans decides to sell us then frankly who cares, we would have paid of all our debt and would be a very attractive proposition for numerous different buyers!! I disagree that we have more to lose than you, you only have nothing to lose because you don''t spend any money!! We had nothing to lose when we sold to Evans, without his money we were going nowhere and had no funds, now we have a real chance of promotion this season or next!!

I never said Ameobi was that good and frankly I couldn''t care less wether he signs for us or not! Ok ween, it''s this simple, whilst we play our football in  the ccc we owe next to nothing and can spend money and improve our squad (£6m in fees plus big wages spent already since January). If we get promoted then we will recieve what is it, £30, £40, £50m? In which case Evans will then be able to recoup his money, and we will have the benefit of supporting a premiership side!!   It''s Win-Win, or would you rather have your situation, where you owe £20m odd, can''t find £2m to sign a striker that your manager loves and wants, have a large percentage of fans turning against the board, have half your squad on loan from other clubs, and have no real prospects for promotion in the next 2 or 3 years??   I know which scenario I would rather!!

Actually whilst we play in the CCC we owe next to nothing, if and when we go up then we will owe money and will be very happy to pay it!! In the mean time we can just spend money for fun!!!!

We never made any offer for Hoolahan so he never had the choice to play for us,but for you he is probably a big improvement on nobody!! As for the investment you must be realisitc CCC sides are only going to attract older seasoned pro''s who maybe have 1 or 2 good years left in the CCC, or premierships kids on loan who have no first team experience!! Top premeirship players arent going to play for ccc sides irrespective of how much money the clubs have!!

When you consider that our current squad was already a long way better than yours (we have three players we could sell for over £2.5m tommorow) then the additions of campo, thatcher and maybe Ameobi makes the gap even bigger IMO!!

I''m sorry but for weeks 90% of Norwich fans on here and TWTD have been saying how good Ameobi ias and how you couldn''t wait to sign him, now you have realised that in actual fact you can''t afford him and instead your more afluent neighbours look likely to sign him, you now think his rubbish!!!!   Funny!!
