1. Actually I think the local council would be a really good one though. Looking at how they all want to cut services ie rubbish collection, whilst hiking council tax all the time, a good slogan would be ''F**k the binmen''...
2. Considering the bigger the company the bigger the sponsorship deal, coca cola or microsoft. Always liked colemans and lotus though, poll withey a bit too localised and aviva a bit too global to be ideal local sponsors.
3. Can''t see a) Leeds bidding for Holt  b) Holt willingly going to Leeds.Leeds have quality up front already and surely if they spent at all it would be to bring in a championship striker for next year, not more league 1 talent. Why would Holt put himself in a situation where he is fighting for a place in the first team?
4.
Are we Canaries or Vultures?! If the tables were turned I would be sickened to hear other clubs picking over our scraps. I hope Southend can sort something out for the sake of their fans.
Unfortunately kil, this is the way football is nowadays. In the professional era a club must take advantage. There''s a big pile with the champions sitting at the top, and everybody wants to be them, because that''s where the money and the glory is. You don''t get there by  giving anyone else a leg-up. Everybody in the organisation is paid good money to do their job and is expected to succeed, or make way for someone who will. As much as we all can sympaphise with football, the game itself, a club must do what it needs to do to progress. Let''s get Chris Killen back in then.
5. I personally think that looking back on the whole Mike Basset fiasco, Both sides should just let this drop.
6. He certainly seems to have potential but at this stage you would hope that we exploit his potential for all it''s worth. Don''t want to see Lambert sell him for half a mil to get some fresh legs in then see him go to chelsea in a years time for 7 mil
7. Afraid it desn''t work that way refjez, korey would have to do a lot more than currently to command that sort of price tag.
8. Have to agree dogger, Today''s conditions weren''t exactly condusive to our playing style but we battled out a good win. Looking good, just hope Lambert can be given a bit of cash to bring in a defender and maybe someone in the midfield along with Hughes to supply Holt and Hoolahan in front of goal. If Wes stays then I think we can see championship football again next season, whether it comes automatically or through the playoffs.
9. Anyone know where to get live coverage on the net? Iraqgoals.com doesn''t seem to be working.
10. Iverson is on fire, if only we could have captured him when Roeder first sniffed him out, I fear he may be alerting too many other managers now.
11. Sorry about my newbie naivety BBFF but where is the ''on the pitch''  expenditure supposed to come from?
12. All pure speculation. Nice one jetstream, only hope that a chant of  ''cullen'' reverberates around Carrow Road upon his successor''s arrival [:)]
13. First post on this forum ever. Don''t know about the strangest place ever seeing a city fan but I probably qualify as the farthest placed canary fan, brought up in Dunedin in the south of New Zealand, very few places geographically further away from Carrow Road. My father was born in Wymondham and I still have relatives in the area. Started supporting Norwich when I began to play football at seven years old (twenty nine years ago), still remember the Pink''un arriving for Dad every week back when it was printed on pink newsprint, and later proudly turning up to practice every week in the 1981 admiral kit- along with all the predictable slaggings about wearing aussie colours! I have been an avid fan ever since, although I ironically lost track in the late eighties/ early nineties when Mike Walker took us into a golden period (blame it on a misspent youth!). Picked up again when I visited the hallowed turf in ''94 and have sang like a canary wherever I''ve been since despite the obvious slaggings at times. Will always be a die-hard Canary whatever happens. For my two cents worth, I think Delia did a good job of appointing Roeder, a very shrewd manager who looks to be assembling a very good squad given his resources, although I doubt  that she has the always acted in the best interests of the club in terms of allocating funds towards quality in the playing staff. The manager needs available funds otherwise we will risk losing him to a team that will give him the scope he needs to lead a side capable of Premiership football. At the time of this post I am hoping for a big strong striker and a big strong centre back to complete the squad, both complying to Roeders wishes of committed keen players, then I think we can be a realistic threat in this league, I have every confidence that he can do so, call me an optomist. Very much looking forward to becoming a regular poster as soon as I get an internet connection at home,  c''mon you yellows!
