1. I hope so. Roeder has always seemed to be one for giving young players an opportunity, so I guess he will have looked at the academy and wanted to know which good players were coming through, and wanting to know why the hell not if there weren''t any on the brink. Our academy has underproduced for too long - hopefully Roeder might oversee  a change in that.
2.
If that is so we could see a couple of players go the other way to fund a big forward. Shackell could be on his way now we have Kennedy and I guess Croft or Russell may be allowed to leave for the correct brass. Just my opinion. Any thoughts?
If Wolves still want to pay a million for Shackell, we should take it now.
3.
We can''t sign Riordan. hat would we do in Janruary and next summer if we can''t trot out the traditional Riordan rumour? [:P]
We''d just bring up new Ameobi rumours instead.....
4. Good signing. We need another CB and Kennedy has shown at Celtic that he is good. I haven''t seen much of him since his injury, but apparently (according to people on other forums - maybe reliable, maybe not) he has done well since his injury.
5. Let''s hope not - what would be our chances of getting a decent, proven replacement keeper at this late stage? We''d have to take a chance on somebody like that Hungarian chap we''ve been linked with. Risky! There was talk of Marshall going to Man City last season but nothing came of it. Same again, hopefully.
6. A lot of people have brought up his ''second season syndrome''. Fair enough - I hope it doesn''t go belly-up as well. I''ve been impressed with the players he''s brought in so far, though, and if he can get the players responding to him then we should start going forwards again. I agree, it''s a concern though - however, I''m happy to stay positive for now! We''ll soon see how it''s taking shape.
7. Did anyone get Steve Walsh''s name on their shirt? If so, I bet they felt silly.... Also, I wonder if any Town fans had Ian Crook''s name put on their shirts after he ''signed''?
8. Rasiak would do well here, and I think he''d link up well with Cureton or Lupoli. Good signing if we can get him.
9. I''d welcome Riordan. Graveson might just be a bit out of our budget, though....
10. Roeder also needs to be lucky with injuries. We seem to have a curse at this club for key players getting ruled out. I have faith in Roeder and the way he has handled the transfer market. The players he has so far brought in this summer have been good, but if, say, Hoolahan, Lupoli and another were to get injured we would be in a difficult situation. It''s about time we had better luck with injuries - I hope Roeder has that luck. I agree that we still need a GK, another CB and a striker for the squad, but I''m happy to trust Roeder and his judgement on the players he brings in. No Strihavkas, Brelliers or Murrays....
11. Mifsud would be a cracking signing. We''ve still only got three strikers (Martin/Cureton/Lupoli) and if Martin carries on the way he has since he got his contract, then he doesn''t count and we''ve only got two. Mifsud would be a quality addition.
12. Just about all of them, though Alan Brazil, Fabian Wilnis and Judas Marshall are probably ''above'' the rest. Oh, and don''t forget Bryan Hamilton.........
13. Dickson was a funny one. He was frustrating as hell, but I thought we were finally seeing some good stuff from him on a regular basis before he left. He''d do well at Rangers - the SPL isn''t as good as this division, apart from the top two.
14. Dean Coney and Peter Thorne. The list goes on........ Oh, and there was the wretched Paul Dalglish. We''ve had some cracking forwards down the years!!!!
15. Chadwick had a terrible injury record when we signed him, and he''s lived up to it. He was a promising player once upon a time, but we should offload him. Even if he stays fit, he shouldn''t be considered ahead of Bell, Hoolahan or any of the other midfielders. I won''t be surprised to see him and Lappin leave sooner rather than later.
16. Don''t forget Trevor Benjamin - now, there was a touch of class.......
17. Cracking signing. He already knows his way around in this league after playing for Derby, so no worries about any Strihavkaesque problems with "adjusting". Get in! Can''t wait to see him in the side. Hopefully another striker will be here soon as well - we''ve still only got three....
18. Good signing, if it finally happens. I''ll be glad when this saga is over.
