MDP says £20M is nothing in today''s game - absolutely correct.  Spend that on players - and pay them with what???  I am a total City fan and when I heard Delia at the last AGM saying they were open to offers, I think this was genuine - and that she meant reasonable offers.  £56M is a snip Mr Cullum - pay that plus £20M for players and then you - particularly with your City credentials - would be worth talking to. And what are we doing allowing the future of our clun to be driven by Archant - the EDP sales yesterday must have been phenomenal!  Yes, I was one of those who rushed out first thing to buy a copy, only read a story dating from way back last season in the Peter Grant era................. The future of our club is a serious matter.  Let''s take it seriously.

I know I''m not the world''s most accomplished computer user, and most of my equipment is old and a bit naff (like its owner) but is anyone else having difficulty in getting onto this forum since the format changed? It used to be one click and I was in - to either the main forum or the transfer forum - now it takes a lot of messing about and clicking back and forth to access anything..................... Helpful suggestions welcome (in English not computerese).  

I posted something similar on here to keep Martin Taylor - bearing in mind the share issue which helped bring Huckerby to City.  I still think I own the top joint of one of Huck''s little fingers! I''m not wealthy at all - and am about to retire so my income will dive, but I''d be prepared to put a regular monthly amount into a fund, BUT - as already pointed out - if we as fans put in our money - we would want a say in how it was spent.  The Huckerby scenario is a good example - and I think we could raise the £250,000 for Taylor quite easily.  The problem would be when the fans have raised - say - £350,000 and the club want to put the cash towards buying some unknown, or someone some of us think is great - and others wouldn''t touch (eg Joey Barton??)! Problem is that at the moment we all want to help the club, we all want good players in now - but how a fans'' fund could be managed is a logistical nightmare.

Thank you Arthur for coming out.  It confirms everything I''ve ever thought about your posts and newspaper rants. Trouble is for you that OUR country as you put it is fast becoming a place where you obviously feel you need to parade your views - feeling a little threatened are we?

I sit in the River End Upper - right in the middle.  Yes most of those sitting there are above pensionable age - and it''s a miracle that most of us get up all  those stairs!  There''s also quite a few youngsters - with parents and grandparents.  we are not that quiet - sing OTBC very loudly and get up and yell and shout when we score.  I am constantly moaned by some sitting in front of me at for yelling (usually at the ref) - and my other half blows a horn for all our corners and when we score - and takes a lot of flack! OK, there are a few moaners up there - and also some good banter, but we are happy sitting there and have done so for years now.  Don''t knock it!  We appreciate the efforts of the Barclay and often join in when they start singing, but to be honest, the accoustics don''t seem to be as good now as before the Jarrold stand and hotel were built.  I understand that from the pitch the noise levels are pretty good from all the stands - that would seem to be the most important thing. We''ll be up there tomorrow singing (me) and blowing a horn (other half).  Hope to hear a lot of vocal support from everyone.

If you are for real - and you are feeling a bit iffy about your team, try us! Mind you it''s hard to get a seat sometimes - but we can provide entertaining football (again!) on a shoestring.  I for one would be happy to overlook past transgressions and welcome a newly converted lost sheep to the Carrow Road fold.

Jetstream is spot on with his comments!  My other half and I were among the crush at the left hand side.  "Cardboard Cut-outs"  - bloody cheek!  There was no room to raise our arms and wave them about.  I was hanging on to the rail behind me like grim death to stay on my feet! As for the singing - I think we did reasonably well - compared with the Col-U fans - they were definitely cardboard and totally static - except when they were abusing Jamie Cureton. We did a particularly rousing chorus of Jingle bells at half time with the marching band.  They were obviously totally unused to that level of singing as they then - very amusingly - seemed to have become totally disorientated and forgot how to get off the pitch, delaying the start of the second half. Poor game, but don''t knock the away supporters.
