the home & away pattern for top teams
KingsLynnCanary replied to Paradox's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I haven''t really noticed that, but I have noticed we seem to play the same teams around the same time. we had oldham tuesday, you had them today, i''m guessing you''ve got huddersfield and brentford coming up?!
Huddersfield, yes - we''ve played Brentford 3 times this season so done with them! (2 league & JPT) there was an intresting article on the BBC sport site pre season discussing how it''s decided which teams play home/away - it''s to do with travel, geography, policing etc. -
Here here Some people aren''t happy unless they''re moaning.

Nelson should be dropped in favour of Spillane or Askou providing one is fit to start.
-
we''ve been lucky not having D''Urso yet this season but i doubt we''ll avoid him all season - our luck we''ll get him against Leeds or Huddersfield/Swindon/Charlton away.It would seem we have Rob Shoebridge on Saturday at Oldham, i think we''ve had him once this season too.
-
and also, Mr Booth who refereed us on Saturday is in charge of Accrington vs Burton Albion tomorrow night - i doubt he''s been demoted for a bad performance, more that is his usual level of football

He was talking about hoping to organise a testimonial game with West Ham, i wonder if it would be West Ham vs Norwich as they are the 2 teams he had the most success with? -

FAO Chris Lakey re your article today:Jake Humphrey is not a BBC F1 Commentator, he is the programmes presenter and his name is not spelt ''Humphries'' either. It would be nice to spell the name right of one of the clubs more famous fansThat is all. -
"Lambert is benefitting from the fact that Norwich got rid of Bryan Gunn so early in the season. They made the decision with this in mind - to give the new man as much time as possible to turn things around and he has done very well."
Was this not the same man that was slating Norwich for making that decision ''too hastily'' at the start of the season? -
According to my mate who''s a Posh regular, he was making moves on a couple of player''s wives, then had a crack at Boyd''s who reported it to McAnthony.
that''s a libellous post if ever i saw one! -

Chris Martin's value?
KingsLynnCanary replied to can u sit down please's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
As a rough estimate, i would say he is in the 2 mil range at the moment, based on age and potential. If we needed to sell, nothing less than 1.5 mil in my opinion.
I would say only Holt & Hoolahan are worth £1mil+ if we were to sell them at the moment. Martin''s probably 500k+ -
Chris Martin's value?

according to that site, Gary Doherty & Jamie Cureton are worth over £1 mil and Grant Holt is worth less than half of that..! (even Theo is 600k..!) -
That Pitch was a Disgrace
KingsLynnCanary replied to Icecream Snow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I suspect the authorities/ref would have wanted to get the match done due to the hype surrounding it and a rearrangement for midweek would not have been appreciated by the police! Best to get it over with - I don''t think we will be playing them again for a good while.. -
'Late Kick Off' new regional t.v. show
KingsLynnCanary replied to Canaries Utd's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
starts next Monday from 11:35pm. -
They won''t put the show out at all if many more championship club games get called off. With all these games needing to be rearranged snd a great deal would bs for the same night midweek they would opt to put a show out then than have a 3/4 empty show tomorrow.

The Faith in Lambert Thread.
KingsLynnCanary replied to First Wizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
You don''t manage 3 clubs in 1 season, Lambert won''t leave until we''ve been promoted to the Championship at the earliest - he will want to finish what he''s started here. It''s only natural for managers who are successful at their clubs being linked -
if this gets called off then i think Walsall should be held accountable.. they know wjhat the weather is going to be like.. do they not have covers for the pitch? it might help in some way.
they do have covers but they obviously don''t work.

Lambert to Bolton?
KingsLynnCanary replied to Mister Chops's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
<yawn> are we seriously going to have a post made about Lambert moving to a new club everytime another manager gets the boot? Is it what we have to put up with in return for success?
