1. Ring the ticket office. I had to fill out a form when I had one but you will be told what you need to know by the ticket office.   Davo
 2.
Garrido fine as a loan but not worth a perm deal for me.
Although I agree with pretty much the majority of what you have said I do disagree with this. Garrido has done pretty well this season. He''s not perfect but I think he is an improvement on Tierney. Depending on what we have to pay for him to get him permanent I think he would be worth signing. We would need another left back anyway so if the price is right I would sign Garrido and then concentrate on getting in players to improve our midfield. The kind of midfileder we will need could cost us a fair bit.   Davo
 3.
Well we probably won''t know until 2:00 tomorrow. But it''s entirely possible he does know something we don''t. Would be great to see Ruddy, even on the bench. Can''t see why he wouldn''t be for enough to be on the cb, wasn''t it three weeks ago he played in an U21 game? I assume he''d been training before that as well.
There''s a difference (especially for a goal keeper) in being physically fit to last 90 minutes and being in good enough form to play at this level. He played a single U21 game 3 weeks ago. None of this means that Ruddy is playing better than Bunn in training. All we know is he has been training and that he has played a single U21 game against Man City which we lost 3-1.All we know as fans is Ruddy''s form before he got injured and Bunn''s form since. We do not see either in training so it''s hard for us to know if Ruddy is better than Bunn right now.Davo
 4. It is more exciting. It''s more of a slightly nervy excitement than pure joy. I can''t say that I wouldn''t prefer to be in WBA''s position though.   Davo
 5.
Would it be diplomatic to say we''ve missed a fully fit and fired up Pilks dreadfully?
I think that''s spot on. When Pilks is on his game he''s one of our top players. He does have a slight tendancy to blow hot and cold though.   Davo
 6. Sell him. He''s proved a couple of times now that he''s an excellent Championship defender but he''s not quite up to Prem standards. Plus we know from when he joined us he wants to be playing not sitting on the bench. Let him go so that he can play.Davo
 7. Alladyce is a hypocrite. He will bleat and moan about the slightest thing that goes against his team but never admits it when things go his way. I like CH''s calm manner although I think it would be highly amusing to see him loose it one day.Davo
 8.

There was a rumour at the time of his signing that we had paid a £3m. non-refundable deposit which we would lose if we were to be relegated in which event RVW would not be joining us but that rumour seems to have disappeared in the general euphoria surrounding his signing. There may be nothing in it but it was mentioned in dispatches at the time.
Anyone who believes such a rumour has clearly not been paying much attention to McNally''s dealings over the past few years. I  think it''s probably just about more likely that he''d come out and say the whole Lambert fiasco was his fault and apologise publicly to Lambert than it is for him to spend £3mil on a nonrefundable deposit for a player who we might not even get. And both of those things are extremely unlikely to happen any time soon!
I have no idea, but what gave that rumour some (only some) credibility was, as the Sporting fan who helpfully posted here explained, that his club desperately neeeded money immediately. That would certainly explain why there might have been a deposit, or even the full amount owed to Sporting. As I understand it we pay around £3m to Sporting and about  £5.5m to other co-owners. As to non-refundability that is another matter.
Purple that is my understanding too. I can''t remember which Journo it was but one of them on the World Football Phone-in has mentioned several times the Lisbon needed to sell quickly to be able to pay wages for this season. One of the reasons why we got him was because we were willing to pay at least some money now rather than in the summer. As for the contract details I can''t imagine anyone with the same hard nosed business savvy that McNally seems to have would allow a player to have a release clause that did not at the very least cover the initial costs. Also given that his bonus seems to be financially benchmarked I can''t see him agreeing to a deal where we paid a £3mill non-refundable deposit for a player who might never join us.Davo
 9.

One change I would support however is the introduction of technology for offsides and do away with linesman. There is absolutely no need to have linesmen now. A camera and computer can tell if a player is offside immediately, 100% accuratly, 100% of the time. Some of you will be driving around in cars that make 500 decisions every SECOND so if you think that this change would slow the game down I urge you to stop living in 1955 and join us in 2013.
I am kind of on your side here. I like the idea of using technology when it comes to offsides. I am also a fan of simplifying the offside rule to where you are offside if an attacking player is inbetween the defence and the keeper when the ball is kicked. None of this crap about interferring with play or not eitehr you are onside or you are not.   I don''t however agree with getting rid of linesmen. They should be made Assisstant referees. There should be 4 of them. Each running one half the pitch on both sides. This won''t help stop incompetence but it will give the referee''s more help. You often see goal kicks and corners given the wrong way because the linemasn is on the wrong side of the pitch and the ref is 30 yards away with a plyer in his line of sight.   I don''t think the challenge rule is a good one as some smart managers will find a way to manipulate the call. I just think there should be more help for the refs. The 6th official should be able to review penalty and free kick decisions. They should even be allowed to rule on acts of violent conduct. I just don''t think anyone affiliated with either side should be allowed to have anything to do with the decision making process.   Davo
I agree with all of this, with the exception of the highlighted. For me, adding more refs can only increase the chance that they will f**k something up...
It''s all fubar now. The introduction of a multitude of cameras in to Stadiums is allowing fans to see more then we ever have done and every week there are bad decisions made affecting the out come. Refs need help and not some tool standing behind the goal to see if the ball crossed the line but not the blatant handball mere feet away.Davo
 10.
I would agree with this. I would like to see a ref be able to refer the matter to a video official if he is genuinely unsure about a given incident/decision. I guess though you would then get controversy where referees refuse to refer decisions which are subsequently shown to be incorrect. I am sure some would be willing to use the technology whereas others would be too arrogant to do so.
My opinion though is that the decision should be two way. The ref can refer these decisions "upstairs" and the man "upstairs" can also highlight things to the ref.So like the tackle the other week by the Wigan youngster McManaman if the TV guy had seen it then he could flag it up to the ref with his recommendation.I would also make a summary of all instances of communication between the two individuals available to the clubs after the match.Davo

 12.
Agreed, every seat should be the same price really, bar the boxes and vip sections
I don''t agree with this. No fan should have to pay full price for a restricted view seat. Nor should fans in a stand at the end of the pitch have to pay the same as a fan with a view from near the halfway line.   Davo
 13. I''ve just seen this article, and it seems good to me. Although I would also like to see a hefty fine like the equivilant of 10 weeks wages. Not a fixed fine as Terry and Suarez would brush of a 50k fine but that could seriously cripple players in lower leagues. A fine of 10 weeks wages would have a larger impact on all players.   http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22093191   Davo
 14.
Tickets are still available in the corner infills. A cool £45 will get you a seat behind a post.
And people wonder why some of our games don''t sell out against all opposition. Personally I won''t pay good money so I can sit behind a post and not see the match especially if it''s something stupid like £45. Restricted view tickets should be a reduced price to go along with the reduced view.   Davo
 15.
"It also wouldn''t surprise me if the Sky Execs had a quite word with the PL or directly with the clubs so they could get a better view on what is happening so they might be able to pick which games they want to. " I don''t get this statement.
I think two of the games on the weekend of the 4th May that sky will want to show will be Liverpool V Everton and Chelsea V Man U. Chelsea could be playing in the UEFA Cup the Thursday before so they would need to play either Sunday or Monday. If  Chelsea and Man City draw and have to replay their game that''s another factor as to when Chelsea can play. The following weekend Chelsea are playing Villa which could also be a likely candidate for TV given the fact that it could be marketed as a crunch match due to the Championship qualification and relegation both teams are involved in.   From Sky''s point of view you wouldn''t want to schedule a big match like Man U V Chelsea only to have to move it and miss out on the chance to braodcast it.   Davo
 16.
I may well be wrong but I thought the televised games had to be confirmed by the TV companies at least four weeks before the fixture dates. As it is we are less than four weeks from the Aston Villa weekend and only just over four weeks from the WBA weekend.
You are most likely correct but it wouldn''t surprise me if there is some type of clause in there. It also wouldn''t surprise me if the Sky Execs had a quite word with the PL or directly with the clubs so they could get a better view on what is happening so they might be able to pick which games they want to. Obviously this won''t matter for the last day of the season as all games are played at the same time anyway.Davo
 17. It''s onl an hour and a half travelling time from Carlisle to Glasgow. That''s an easy commute for a footballer who only does 3 hours training a day.   If true this would be a good move for Grant, the chance to play some european football and to get some winner''s medals.   Davo
 18. Considering he wasn''t even on the bench for the last development game against Reading I don''t think this is even slightly true. I can''t imagine Houghton taking a risk on Ruddy after being out so long without playing at least one development game.   Davo
 19. It would be interesting to see if the binners have pulled their heads out of the sand yet. Their club has lost £16mill in a year and still managed to pay Marcus Evans over £3mill. I wonder how much of that £72.5mill debt is to Marcus Evans and how much of it is to local suppliers and the St John''s Ambulance.   Davo
 20.
Perhaps this could be taken a step further when no points are won if no goals are scored. Therefore the only change would be no points for either team for a 0-0 draw. If you want to win at least one point you must score.
I get your point but how would you feel if we go away to Arsenal in just over a week, we create two good goal scoring chances. One falls to Bradley Johnson who shanks it wide and the otehr falls to Hoolahan on his right foot which gets tipped round the post. Meanwhile at the other end Bunn produces 5 top class saves on a similar level to Banks against Pele. Does neither team deserve a point? It''s been an entertaining game but two missed chances and a series of world class saves means no team gets any points. Dosen''t seem quite right to me.   Davo
 21. It''s the Dallas Satrs Ice girls you really want to see ;)   Davo
 22. I have never liked Wigan as a club. They are one of the biggest examples of what is wrong with the game. They are being kept alive purely by Sky and that gobshite Whelan. They have such poor attendances it''s pretty embarrasing. I wouldn''t mind if they had 15k fans every week and filled their stadium but they don''t. In fact their higest ever attendance came againt Man U ont he day Man U won the title, who else thinks their attendence was increased by said Manure fans?   I hope they go down along with QPR and Southampton. I think it would be funny if Adkins turns Reading around at Southampton''s expense.   Davo
 23.
Philadelphia the City of Brotherly love...and probably one of the most violent cities and their fans are considered the worst fans in all sports. They even have jails in their stadiums...but this being soccer and a friendly game we shouldn''t have problems. They got really famous when Santa came on during a American Football game for halftime and the crowd booed and chucked hundreds of snowballs at him and he had to run for cover. If you are an opposing fan....NEVER wear the other teams jersey if you want to come out alive. Just googled quickly..... http://coedmagazine.com/2012/01/11/philadelphia-worst-sports-fans/ http://bleacherreport.com/articles/816529-ranking-the-30-absolute-worst-fans-in-sports-history/page/31 http://www.gq.com/sports/lists/201104/worst-sports-fans-in-america#slide=14 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1432267-most-vicious-home-fans-in-sports ...This one they have 3 of their sport franchies listed in the top 20 most vicious fans Soooo Who want''s to go to Philly :)
It''s good to see you aren''t just peddling mis-informed sterotypes. The incident with with Santa happened nearly 45 years ago after the team had lost all but two of thier games that season. With a city of around 6 million people who all care passionately about their teams. Imagine if all of London supported 1 football team they would make Philly fans seem like Angels.   As for playing both Philly and Kansas I hope we don''t. There''s approximately 1000 miles between Philly and Kansas and with the flights too and from the States I wouldn''t want the team to spend any more time travelling than is absolutly needed.   Davo
 24.
www.canaries.co.uk
So come on Marvin where on there does it tell you what grade the match is? I can''t seem to find any news about Reading tickets at all except the date they come available?Davo
