This thread really wasn''t worth bumping Bly. It''s been rumoured for days Edwards was coming in and it doesn''t take a genius to work out Lambert is looking for a striker for that final push. Vaunting ''dodgy rumours'' as a credible source of information is really sad and shows your search for attention is plummeting to new depths. Paranoia is a bi-product of too much ganja!

OMG there''s two of them. [:O]

    What? Outer circle members?[:^)]
And to think I had you pegged as the Blackadder to Wazzock''s Baldrick.  Dear oh dear.  Still, it takes all sorts.  Just ask Archie Macauley.

Remember, be good to each other.

  3. I''m Ed, and I''ve supported the Canaries through thick and thin for the last 30 years unlike my older brother who would jump on any old bandwagon and was last seen supporting Newcastle United because his constituency is there or thereabouts.

Favourite players were Darren Eadie, Darren Huckerby - anyone who was good on the left wing.  Not Clint Easton though, he was sh*t.

I don''t get to games as often as I''d like because I''m usually reading briefing notes or making speeches or hosting policy meetings, but I follow the club from a distance and attend when I can.  It''s nice to "meet" so many of you, and please remember that this coalition government is ruining the country and the "big society" is another way to get you all to sell hot dogs outside Carrow Road for no pay.

Health warning with this - it is tenuous at best!

I work at Carrow Road and every time we have signed a new player Lambo''s car has been parked outside in an inapropriate place...  this used to be the disabled spaces but has latterly been at a jaunty angle right outside the doors of the reception.

His car was there this morning when I left for an appointment and was just leaving when I got back a while ago. I know some will say ''of course he was parked outside, he works for the club'' but I have noticed the last few developments have come after I have seen his car , most recently when we signed Barnett.

He certainly isnt here every day by any means - I know this because I am.
I''m sure that as a legacy of my predecessor''s last government, there are enough CCTV cameras to confirm whether your suggestion is true or not.  However, I am delighted to see more players from the left join the club, and thank you for your brave whistle-blowing in the cause of our beloved Canaries.

  5.

Silver, i think you need to take everyone who agreed with you some fair distance from Carrow Road, into a locked building......no one that stupid should be allowed out in public
Have you ever considered that those who disagree with me are actually the clever ones and the rest are not as clever.  I will not accuse you of being stupid as I don''t know you.  When you assume you are right every time it is a sign of arrogance.
Er - yes, I had.

  6. Football is much like politics though.  You can''t have these mavericks wanting to dictate the game their own way, they need to learn to act as part of a team.  It''s called the doctrine of Cabinet Responsibility.  Wes Hoolahan reminds me very much of Claire Short, whereas Lee Croft was more of a John Prescott kind of fellow, hard working but understood his role and worked within it.  I''d have to say I''d rather have Prescott in my side any day.

  7.
I would be more than happy to ignore Zema, which i was doing for quite a while, but then i thought he was actually going to post something that might resemble a football debate, but obviously not.....he''s probably not even a real person....
Frankly, I would be very surprised if there were people like that on this message board.

Clearly I have to be careful what I say here, but Ed Balls summed it up nicely when he said that "one man''s golden child is another man''s bastard son."  We were most disappointed last night, not helped by having to share our viewing in the private Commons bar with the MP for Reading South-West, a Liberal Democrat whose name I shall not sully this board with.

Any good leader must be able to multi-task.

But again, for this to be an issue, we must assume that there was a queue of millionaire investors waiting to join the board and Delia snubbed them to select Stephen Fry.  And this also supposes that Stephen Fry has not contributed anything in order to take his seat on the board.  And it further supposes that this is merely a "nice cosy job" for Stephen Fry, and he''s not working behind the scenes or using his contacts in film, media and celebrity land to bring in investment for the future.

I assume that the person who started this thread believes all these assumptions to be true without any proof to sustain this viewpoint.  Which is the beauty of internet fora, where people can hide behind cartoons and false names and say whatever they like about those in the public eye who don''t have such luxury of anonymity.

Ed Balls is a Norwich City fan.  If he was on the board, he would have my full support and access to the Treasury''s "overseas aid" budget to bring in lots of footballers from disadvantaged countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Morocco and Brazil.  Trust this would be acceptable?

''Where people can hide behind cartoons and false names''..........Yes Ed......
But Ed Miliband is my name.  Is yours really "Mello Yello", and do you really look like a pair of shorts?
Mello Yello is my false name and the shorts......are just a cartoon I hide behind......
Well, it takes all sorts. Would love to chat, but shadow cabinet awaits.

Fading celebrities regularly enlist the support of more successful chums... either by associating with them or by endorsement.

So what does Smith do when her star fades badly and her ''popularity'' with City fans fades?  She brings in another showbiz luvvie (who currently  holds the heart of the nation in his hands) and leans on him.

It''s cynical.... it''s embarrassing.... and I''m staggered Fry''s ego allowed him to be so foolishly used.... and so publicly.

How daft does she think we all are?
Well, quite. This episode rather reminds me of the time Margaret Thatcher was forced to bring Michael Heseltine into the cabinet.  But unless we have the full facts regarding Mr. Fry''s role and his contribution to the club, we are unable to make a reasoned judgement.

  13.
Don''t believe the twitter twaddle about Alistair Campbell being sold out. There were only 100 people in attendance in a room that comfortably caters for 350+.
Dear old Alistair.  That''s quite typical of the spin machine, you know.  A difficult and quick-tempered fellow.  If I were your Prime Minister, I would see your darling club alright.

  14. If I was your Chairman, I would ensure that board members adhered to a strict code of expected behaviour in their public life, and this would extend to all announcements, real or "virtual", made in the public domain such as websites and message boards.I hope you will consider my candidacy in this light.
