1. “What annoys me is when people say I have taken players from the lower leagues along with maybe one or two who have joined who have been in the Championship before,” he said. “What annoys me is these lads are creating names for themselves and they are only young. I know exactly what they have done for me, I know exactly the way they are playing.

“I don’t accept if you are saying to me perhaps we can fly under the radar and that other teams around us are more fancied.

“Not when you have 27,000 people coming to watch. The crowd generates the pressure. It doesn’t matter who sits in the manager’s chair, you should always feel it because of the amount of people who come to watch you.

“I think a lot of people do think we’ve been in the Championship for years.

“For myself it’s new, for the team it’s new, for Ian (Culverhouse) and Gary (Karsa) it’s new. There is this perception that we should be up there and that is wrong. I don’t buy into this nonsense that Norwich should be where they are.

“You have to earn the right whether you are playing Scunthorpe or Swansea or QPR.

“Every game is really, really tough but we have done really fine this season to put ourselves in a position to do something.”

Careful, Paul.  Your halo is slipping.  Archie McCauley wouldn''t have uttered such nonsense.  Three points today and I may forgive him.

But still, be good to one another.

  2.
Again, the post was in jest.

I had no-one else to share my happiness with. So I thought I''d turn to my friends on the Pink Un...........

I''m not saying he''d bang them in here. But fair play to the lad. He''s one of ours, and he''s doing well.

    Well played Cody!

Seconded - I don''t think he''s better than anything we currently have but it''s hard not to feel good for a guy who was making a living by putting up scaffolding two years ago.

  3. Live on Sky, broadcast across the world via the majesty of the internet and satellite television.  A chance to showcase what our boys can do in front of the watching millions.  But will Lambert''s first XI take it?  Only time will tell.  Tis many a slip ''twixt cup and lip.  And just as with the brave souls battling away in the reactors of Fukashima, let''s hope the spillage isn''t toxic.

Me? 3-1 to the Yellow and Greens, and McNally to announce a new signing at half time.  Remember when that happened before.....

    Be kind to each other.

I was thinking about stopping posting on here apart from the Rays Funds For FONCY threads. I could write a few blogs and feel more important than the rest of you rabble[;)] Good blog by the way Beaus.
Why did you have to have a little pop at him Nutty, that won''t tempt him to come back.

I for one miss Beauseant and the other ncisa guys and girls  posting about our team.
I thought I  complimented his work!

Folk can post if they want or stay away if they want. ...
You suggested that he felt more important than the rest of us by writing blogs before you paid the compliment.

Yes people can stay away if they want and lots are but its a shame beacuse Beauseant was a respected posted on here and as I said I for one miss him.
Stir away, my lovely.

  5.
I''m sure Grant Holt will be delighted to hear that his own ''fans'' are calling him a cheat.

My how Delia Smith has dumbed this club down to it''s absolute core.

    Pathetic.
Were that we still had Chase in charge, when football fans knew what the game was about and how to support their local side.  This bed-wetting schoolboy "Norwich players cheat" faction makes me queasy.  Every other club does it but we''re not allowed to... little old Norwich indeed, dear oh dear.  Shame on youi all.

  6.

Cityangel it wasn''t a pop, i''ve played in city teams when we deserved to be booed, and were booed, i said small minority booed, maybe most at ref, but it also wasn''t the Ref''s fault we missed our chances and Penalty,my real worry is expectation is gonna take over again, what ever happens this season the players have been brilliant,we can and might go up but it''s about building the squad up, and we''ve spent hardly anything, so to be where we are is nothing short of amazing
Fair enough Hucks, as I said I''m a bit protective when it comes to our wonderfull fans, I agree the players have been brilliant this season and its a good time to be a Norwich fan, lets hope we can push on and get over the finishing line, this could be the best opportunity we have to do that.
It could be.  But will Bowkett and McNally be able to wrestle the funds from our beloved majority shareholders to bring in the firepower up front?  One thing''s for sure, Lambert isn''t a man to be kept waiting for long. [O]

How predictable.  One of the founder members of the inner sanctum appears to pour cold water on an interesting post.  Do you put as little trust as possible in the future, Nigel?

Be careful though.  The world and his wife speak Latin.

    Be good to each other.

  8. Well well well.

It appears that the local fans are behind the team and expecting great things next season.

The question is, will Bowkett and McNally be working hard behind the scenes to bring in those new strikers we need?  I imagine there''ll be a lot of refund requests if Lambert gets fed up with the parsimony and walks out.

Now''s the time to seize the day.  The world and his wife have Sky TV.

    Be good to each other.

I understood that the booing was directed at the referee and his assistants, who did a fairly hopeless job of running the game.

But still, never let the facts get in the way of an opportunity to disparage our own supporters.

Were you even at the game? There were clear boos when Wilbrahams name was announced and later when he was brought on as a sub. You weren''t were you? At the game?

It doesn''t matter whether I was there or in Grenada, my friend.   Only God can judge, and I know what I heard.  Just because a legend has ears, it doesn''t mean they work correctly.

  10.

Suggesting he''s the worst striker in NCFC history is a big over reaction, IMO. Here''s my list of dubious NCFC strikers I''d rather have Wilbraham in the team over.. Ryan Jarvis Zema Abbey Omar Koroma David Strihavka Paul Dalglish Henrik Mortensen Trevor Benjamin Tony Cottee Mike Sheron Robert Rosario Chris Killen Dean Coney Alan Gow David "I''m Glad to Have Left Norwich City" Mooney John Hartson Carl Cort Peter Thorne Gaetano Giallanza
I think that the Trevor Benjamin and Chris Killen comparison''s are probably the closest, along with maybe Zema Abbey (who I believe it would be over critical on seeing as when he seemed to be improving slightly his career was cut short through injury).

How can anybody class Robert Rosario alongside him though?  Won balls in the air, held the ball up and scored quite a few goals (although not hatfuls) at the top of the top flight.  He also scored the top flights goal of the season with a 30 yard volley against Southampton.

All this stuff people are making up about Wilbraham holding the ball up is absolute nonsense.  How many times per match has he either held the ball up and laid it off to one of our players, or won a flick on which falls to one of our players?  I am afraid in my opinion he is absolute pants at this too.  He is unable to even control a football, let alone hold it up and lay it off to a man in space.
I am not getting into the debate about Rosario''s quality but the line in red has reminded me of two particular moans I had about him at the time. The first being when he was outjumped by Gordon Strachan and the other when I think he could or should have had a very quick hatrick against Arsenal (the years have made this memory quite vague), I am sure all three chances came in the first 10 or 15 mins, we were all over them at that time but they went on to beat us. I remember being surprised at his move to Coventry, wasn''t it the best part of a million.
I was more surprised when the late great Brian Clough said he''d signed a player who would stop them being relegated, and then unveiled none other than Robert Rosario.  Still, every old great had their off-days; just ask Ron Saunders.

    Be good to one another.
