Another sketchy and disjointed performance last night against a woefully poor Wigan side who themselves could barely string two passes together. In four days we have scraped past two poor sides by the odd goal. Our footballing growth rate cannot be charted. My worry is that for as long as we keep scraping past sides by a single goal, nobody will wake up to the obvious issues of attitude and capability plaguing this squad. Every time we win another match the way we did last night, we take another step closer to League One and nobody will have the necessary courage to sack the coaching staff and management. What if by Christmas we are top of the league by ten points because we keep getting lucky? How will we ever change the club for the better while the team keep somehow scrambling victories despite trying their best to throw it away? The solution is obvious, to me anyway. WE MUST START BOOING OUR UNDESERVED HOME VICTORIES. Turn our backs on the pitch. Celebrate opposition goals. Bare our ar$es at any player who tries to celebrate with the crowd. It is the only way people will sit up and take notice. Media coverage will follow and soon the Stowmarket Two will be forced to do the right thing and sell up to some Afghanistan warlord or a cockney soft porn magnate. Trust me. I have foreseen everything. To prove it I will flash my t1ts at the Directors box. Katie

"So AN managed to bring injury to Tettey. "Every" knowledgable #ncfc fan wanted him rested today, but not AN. Great https://t.co/OrR7G6n8WS" GREFSTAD hasn''t changed though at least confined to twitter.

Bennett or Martin?
Katie Borkins replied to lake district canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Martin every time. Bennett lacks composure and under pressure resorts to aimless hoofing. -

...be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.... -
It all a bit too "sources close to the Prime Minister said" for me.
-
And you weren''t too enthusiastic about Maddison although he''s one of our players.....
-
Weren''t all our players supposed to be permanently on their toes like tennis players at one point?
-
Meanwhile Naismith not in the squad. Oh well.

Would now be a bad time to mention the obvious disappointment at Olsson''s late winner last season against Newcastle?

You only need look back to the number of threads started after the Birmingham debacle and compare to last night''so lack of interest. Even my ironic invocation of Smudger''s "3 goals needed if Martin plays" went down like a cup of cold sick. I guess we need to remember that the majority of accounts on this board (not posters, accounts) are not Norwich City fans.

I was critical of Dorrans''s selection but to be fair it was a composed performance and he controlled the centre the way O''Neil was capable of (still missing his influence, I think) So yeah, hands up and I will have a slice of humble pie.
-
We will need to score three goals to win whenever Martin is in the back four. Delighted with the three points but it could have easily been 3-8 or worse today.
-
Maddison came on as a sub after 33 minutes and had an encouraging debut from press reports. Good to see.

Norwich v Cardiff Match Thread

Dorrans ahead of Mulumbu and Pritchard. Jesus Christ. I lose faith by the week. -
Yes Canos looks to be a more than decent replacement for the mercurial Redmond, and Pritchard is a good signing though rather than stocking up on midfielders I wonder if boosting the striker kitty would have been smarter.
