  1. Table lamp, beach ball, slinkey, rubber duck.................................................................just think of him sitting there...................................morphing! Class!
  2. CT I have to say that I agree with you. I really hope that if we start poor people dont get on GR''s back. I for one personally think that it will take us at least 5 - 6 games possibly more to get the team gelling right. Sadly if we dont win at Coventry I can see GR out being posted all over this board. From listening to the interview on Talksport it seems to me GR is focused and has the bit between his teeth. I think his signings so far have all been good - quality, Lupoli looks a very intelligent player from re runs i have watched and think Kennady if he stays fit will be class at the back, and with the budget GR has had i think he has done an exceptional job. I dont think the so called mistakes (Huckerby, Adams etc) have been mistakes, i just dont think GR is pandering to the masses, just following his plan, calculated and precise. GR has only annoyed me one and that was getting rid of the kit man. Cold!
  3. Thomas Helveg (Almost forgiven for his very sly clout on Giggs, what do you mean free kick ref??)Dave Striker (or what ever he was called)Chris Martin (Coldplay''s baby apple would do a better job)However there is a long list to choose from.
  4. Agreed letting Big Malky go was a real error but to have Hucks on the bench on his wages is simply not financially viable for our club. GR made a good decision to allow Hucks to go and free up a bit more dough for his rebuilding. As we have such a small squad Hucks probs equalls about 3 players GR could get in therefore letting him go was right (if GR''s new signing do better than last year). I for one am an avid Huckerby fan, with my new SAN JOSE Earthquakes shirt I plan to follow Hucks like he will follow City. Some things have to be consigned to history though and unfortunately things are not the same now as they were in 2003.
  5. 1st Wizard is so cleaver I think. He obviously craves attention but you lot are your own worst enemies. If he annoys you this much posting negative comments and the like, dont respond to him. I liken him to a Polymorph of Red Dwarf feeding on different emotions. As his name suggests I could imagine him morphing into all different types of things as the emtions come flooding in. Table lamp, rabbit, beach ball, slinky...............................................
  6. An excellent post that sums up this rather mis-guided forum. I sometimes wonder why im not more angry and miserable being from up north like ey up! But i guess from reading some of the posts that some people just aint getting any (if you get what im saying) (wink wink hubba hubba or the lack of it)  Cheer up we will tonk Coventry at the season opener and Glen Roeder will be king. Roll on a cup run though, its been so long.............................................................
  7. I wrote the following on another post so I think it fits here too. Just tell me to feck off if you think im talking old tosh. [;)]From watching the game tonight i am still happy with were we are so far. I think there are many positives such as Hoolahan and Clingan. Also I think Semmy and Ozzy have done well showing strength and pace. In the first half we looked sharp, fotheringham looked strong and bertrand was looking good. Its just we ran out of steam. Patty at left back struggled and sometimes got caught out with diving in. Playing JC up front on his own made going forward difficult but even if we had Ronaldo (Cry baby not bugs bunny) up front it would not have made any difference as we couldnt get the service up to the front. All in all im happy that the lads got some good fitness and good workout. Thought Spurs looked good for top 6 finish in the prem. Only downsides in my opinion was Marshall didnt look too sharp apart from his reflex saves (very good), Patty but not his strongest position, Crofts service into the box (but we all know about that) and Feckin Bent but heh ho. I look forward to Coventry because they are a million miles away from what we played tonight. A bit like us but we''re getting there. Remember before all the moaning starts tomorrow that until we kick off our first few games we still wont really have an idea how we will fair. I remember our promotion season getting beat in Aug by Nottingham Forest, i was thinking then here we go again and look what happened........................................................

  9. I asked my celtic pal if he was any good, this is what he said:   " Yeah he is. That was his international debut and it was a shocker kept him out for 3 years then he got back in to the team and was carried off in a Champs League game v Shaktar last year. A footballing centre half but he likes a tackle. Think Malky MacKay with brains. Shame about the injury. It’s not like he has dodgy hamstrings or anything just some mad b*stard went after him for no reason."
  10. After the two new signings today, things are looking up. If we can get a big striker in then I think we will be ok. TBH I would like to see Roader get some time to level the ship. I would be happy with mid table an to beat the scum twice. I dont expect us to be anywhere near the top but who knows, im not going to start knocking Glenn and the players until either they prove to be pap. There may be a good team shaping up. I also cannot understand all the moaning about the board on here either, until we know the truth about the Cullum offer (which i doubt we ever will) then how do you know Cullum wasnt out for a cheap trick. I wouldnt expect Delia to hand over the club for nothing. If I had pumped in my personal wealth i would want a little back too.................anyway where''s my wine.
  11. Someone at work the other day emailed me calling me McCullam. Needless to say she had to enter my correct email address in the outlook bar?? Sent one back to her highlighting that my name was Cullum and copied in all her senior management. That''ll teach ''er!
  12. Hi all. My second name is Cullum (i am not PC or related (wish i was and i migh be rich)) can all posters please spell the name CULLUM correctly as its doing my head in. Not cullem, cullam, culen!!!!!!! Anyway what a mess the last few weeks have been, im not pro cullum or pro delia just want a bit of truth and some signings! OTBC!
