1. After the situation with Grant (being inexperienced) im amazed at some of the responses on here. Malky, Bowen, Iwan...............??? All have no experience of 1st line management and have been right hand men, same as Grant was. Only Big Sam and Billy Davis are names of Managers with a bit of experience. Davis would be a waste of time cos he cant do anything without money and walked in the PL because of a row about cash with the board. Big Sam knows a shrewd move...............but lets face it he''s never coming here. It frustrates me so much that because we are not winning it must be the managers fault. Roader for all his faults is still the man for the job and with what he has had to work with has done a good job IMO. There are so many people on this forum that slag the manager and board off but dont actually have any answers to the problems. Unfortuantely I dont have answers either but until I do I wont be calling for the head of our manager and will pray to the footballing gods that someone with some cash buys the club.
 2. An interesting post and I hope you get a response. Can I ask you one question though Porky? Can you tell me any names of Managers the A. Norwich could afford B. Could do any better in the transfer market with zero money to spend. C. That Norwich could attract. I for one cannot think of a manager with lots of experience that could keep Norwich in the top half of the table with 1 transfer window and zero cash. Im interested to know who you think could do this. For all the thing i dont like about roader, there could be worse i.e.Grant
 3. Just read Mr Chops thread about this and it kinda says what I have just said so Well said Mr Chops great minds think alike. And I should read more.
 4. Canaries in bed has hit the nail on the head. Yes my first reaction was "Eh Barnsley??" and im a little concerned we have loaned him to a rival relegation team but lets think about the following points:On top form with top confidence Curo was top goal scorer in this division. We are in a fight so do not have time to play him to get his confidence back up ie: he might not do anything and we are in theory carrying a man.Send him out on loan with a immidiate reacall after 28 daysHe is not gonna get his confidence back within a few games but after a month if he is firing on all cylinders we recall him and get him playing. Now I have thought about it I think its possibley quite a shrewd move by Roader if he''s playing well in a month we get a striker with confidence, if he isnt playing well we get a relegation rival with a cack strike force. Win win.Now leave my little rodent alone, he may well have poor tactical nous but at least he has a friendly approachable side.
 5. I swear down you lot are unreal! Who gives a flying fig if leroy lita plays for leroy lita. All i care about is that we now have back to back wins. Have scored 7 goals in 2 games and are moving in the right direction. If we can extend Lita''s loan then bring it on. Yes i agree to some extent that getting booked for shirt off is a bit daft in certain circumstances but the lads just won us the game! Have you lot never played footy? Even in sunday league when i bang one in on 90 mins i have my shirt off punching the air, corner flag etc because its euphoric and human nature to be delighted. Shake of hands and a polite well done, ha ha ha ha you sound like the black and white football sketch from harry enfield and chums. Utter rubbish. The celebration isnt stupid., The rule is! Pretty soon if the FA have anything to do with it we will have a quiet crowd all being ssshhushhed every 2 mins, watching non contact football with hand shakes, pats on the back and zero passion and excitment. No thank you FA!Rant over!
 6. Im glad i didnt make a prediction. What a bloody night!!! As cammy would say "Jeff, its unbelievable!"GET IN THERE!!!!
 7.
I wouldnt mind if we passing the ball about but it seems more like high balls lumped up to Sibierski to me.
Ridgeman i couldnt have put it better myself. The sooner we get lupoli, hoolagan, bell, stefanovic, otzi, clingan and lita playing week in week out instead of dead ball, marshall lump to sibierskis head, nod on, nobody there the better.
 8. Sell up quick to who? There are no interested parties! Delia wont sell for peanuts and if she was resorting to that then it would lead me to believe the buyer only had peanuts to spend. No thanks. Row- please think about it. Its easy to shout from the rooftops but put a bit of thought behind it.
 9. Stupid thread, the board have stated that they have no desire to remain as major shareholders and are looking for either a buyer or further investment. Whats chanting board out gonna achieve?? They want out anyway as they know they cannot compete financially. No point slagging them off, they have taken us as far as they can and i for one thank them for it. Time to move on, yes, but i dont have any remorse. the infastructure of the club is now so much better than under Chase.
 10. After watching the game yesterday i was so pleased with croft, he even delivered a good ball into the box in the second half. IMHO though up until 70 minutes every goal kick from hand or on the ground, every dead ball, free kick etc was aimed at Sibierskis head. It doesnt take a genius for shef united to double up the marking on him and nothing came off. After 70 mins, hoolahoop came on, marshall worked out that kicking to Sibs was not working and then we played on the deck and for the final 20 mins i thought we played a lot better. Im fustrated though that it took us 70 mins to work it out and only about twice in the whole game did we play out from the back. A lot to work on but pleased with the win.
 11.

His managerial career/reputation will be in tatters... and all because he is a prat who dare not question his foolish employers!!!
Smudger posted this to get a reaction, I don''t think he actually believes it, he wanted a reaction and you gave him it.  Well done Smudge.
I will rub smudger in nettles. Then he will get a reaction!
 12.
And what happens if we get three of our permanent players injured??  How do we put out a team?? Good point, I cant answer that, but as I have said, on the budget GR has had he has done a terriffic job. The loan signings are players we couldnt hope to sign permenantly therefore to get perms in we would have had to go for inferior players. Personally im pleased.

Koroma won''t get played now, Henville won''t get played now.... what''s the problem...
let them go back to there clubs??? and free up some wages money to get a perm target man in
And when we get injuries, which we will, then what happens? What''s Glenn to say? Sorry I have no back up as I put all my chickens in 1 misguided basket? Not to mention having competition for places make people play better. Get real, this has been one of the most successful transfer window in recent memory. True most in recent memory have been terrible but with the budget GR has had and the pressure to rebuild quickly i for one salute him. Look at how we played at the weekend. Last season would you have thought that possible? Under Grant would you thought that possible? Thought not. Looking forward to the rest of the season. Top 10 finish please! Over and outOTBC

14. Glenn you little tinker you! What an excellent signing. Too all that have slagged this signing off have you actually ever watched Sibierski play? He is not a 20 goals striker granted but if he bagged 8 - 10 goals this season that would be great. Its not how many he scores its what he brings to the game. Trust me, championship defences will be cacking themselves! What a handful! Who do you play up front with him though?Class signing, well done. Oh and to those who cant understand the Grounds transfer, my brother in law is a Boro season ticket holder and he reckons the lad is a solid defender and good signing as backup for us as he can play at cetre back not just full back.Good day so far.....................................................
 15.

No the transfer window closes on the 1st (Monday) not because 31st is a sunday but because this is when the European deadline ends and it was seen as an unfair advantage so was extended. In my opinion its not the end of the world is GR doesnt get a big lad in as we have enough potential firepower. It would however give us extra options so I hope that we do bag one! One thing is for sure we should be singing our hearts out for Jamie C on sat to boost his confidence! Unlucky to be stuck on 199. Lets give him a boost and a lift with some top cheering for him all afternoon!
What makes you think JC will be playing on Saturday? After his more recent misses he probably couldn''t find the bench! Never mind he bleeds yellow and green so he doesn''t need to be able to score does he.
Well, even though i havent stated he will play, just that we should give him a cheer, I understand your frustration but getting on his back wont help him. I say we give him a cheer regardless of if he is playing or on the bench. Give him a boost! Certainly better than pointless Huckerby chants! He''s gone, lets cheer our players now and show we are behind them. Jeez, look at Liverpool tonight. They played awful but everytime we saw the crowd they were on there feet, helping the team over the line. Granted there were a few sighs and moans when another kick went astray, but overall, the crowd played their part to lift the team. Something our fans should be helping our exsisting team with! OTBC!
 16. Moooooo. How do you start beef? With jump leads and some WD40?   Tim Howard - American Ipswich Gangster Binman?

 18. A taller striker doesnt = better heading (or chances from crosses). Look @ Tim Cahill for a perfect example. IMO the only reason we are looking towards a big man is to partner JC as he seems to thrive off this pairing. Lupoli doesnt look like an out and out goal scorer and i think one OJ gets a goal he will settle. He is reminding me of Benjani @ Portsmouth in his first season. Looking to get his feet.
 19. Quote from the Daily Star (I know, very reliable):   "Norwich boss Glen Roader is set to end his long search for a striker with a £750,000 swoop for Bury''s Andy Bishop."   Obviously one for the rumour mill but I wouldnt mind if Roader brought him here! Fingers Crossed.
 20.
Leave him alone - I think he is making me streetwise!
Ha ha, the only thing streetwise you will get off this twonk is a Rover Streetwise (brum brum beep beep)Honestly this is one of the funniest threads I have read. Its like reading a text message from a 9 year old.keep it real! West Side! Ayyyyyy!!
 21.
I hope so but in truth it will only paper over the cracks if we do. I have been a supporter for years and have come off the fence after yet another sorry transfer window seems inevitable. The inablitity to show ambition coupled with a refusal to deal with PC = loss of my support. You cannot have your cake and eat it. Either run the club and invest on the pitch or else hand the reigns to someone else who will. But to limp along again is unforgivable. If we get relegated we could go the way of Luton , Huddersfield et al. We must move on and push forwards and I see not one single sign that this is happening. The failure to secure a forward line before the season starts is bordering on lunacy. The other signings whilst a mild improvment have not really made us any better. Releasing Hucks was only going to be forgivable if indeed new ''heroes'' were going to be signed. None have. We face another season of hardship methinks - unless the team gel and over perform which is not impossible.
You sir have just made me very angry. Full team of new signings, 2 games into the season and you expect them to be firing on all cylinders? If you think that you have either never played football before or not watched much. Yes we can all reel off instant his that have worked for clubs (Torres being 1) but I can also reel off players who have taken ages to get up to speed and then proved to be class (Say Drogba). Like it or not with this many new players instant gratification is not going to happen. I posed this same issue in another thread stating that it would take at least 6 games to get going. Im not worried, im not even worried about getting a big man in, looking at the coventry game we played class and just couldnt finish, one of those day, all teams have them. I honestly think though that goals will not be a major issue this year for us and to have the likes of Stefanovic and Kennady in our back 4 speak volumes of how far we have come from Plymouth last year. GR has IMHO brought in fantastic players on a meger budget. I dont blame the board that much because this is now part and parcel of the modern game and without investment clubs have to work like this. I also think the Cullum offer was unreasonable and dont blame the board for rejecting it. I think some people on this site need a reality check.
 22. Chris Martin scored as well, well he didnt as his team mate poached it, but may as well have done!
 23.

We''d walk Seria A.....
By Christmas!
with a big striker of course!
 24. Im not sure why we need a big guy up front. Im quite sure with a bit of training we could open up Hoolahoops and Bells potential and along with fozzy should be creating chances along the ground. I especially would expect Lupoli to thrive on through balls nipping in behind defences. I dont understand why we need lump up front nod down, wild volley, 5% strike rate. I would much rather play actual football with Stefanovic and any of the other defence getting some goals from set pieces and the like. When was the last time we had contribution from the defence in scoring? Malkey? If anyone did sign as a big man I would like it to be Rasiak. IMHO he is mobile, strong and a good goal taker. Ameobi doesnt look good but may do in the championship, no to Howard thanks, waste of money. Sibierski wouldnt be a bad punt too but wages would be high. To sum up I think pace unlocks championship defences not lump, nod kick routine.
 25. BB You are so deluded. What about when the current board signed the likes of Ashton and Earnie. Yeah we had some money kicking around so we bought talent. The outcome didnt pay off (ie staying in the prem or getting promoted) so we had to sell. I dont think you really realise what running a football club entails. Its not cheap and they types of people who want to get involved usually do it for a hobby or the love of it. Not to make money (exept the rich clubs who make revenue from many sources). For me this transfer window on paper lookes fantastic, i hope the team can gel quite quickly and things transfer from paper to the pitch. I for one am glad we havent wasted money on anyone you have mentioned as for me they are all t0ss. Even Earnie because he contributes 0% to the rest of the team in work ethic, just stands on the half way line. When there is no link up play the midfield cannot score as many goals so its couter productive. I think if we got Ameobi I wouldnt want to spend more than 1.5 upfront as i still see it as a gamble. However it might kickstart him like we did for Crouchie when he was on loan. I look forward to Coventry game. I dont think we will win though, i think our first win will be after 2 or 3 games and then we will steady and start to build.
