I am 99% certain that something huge is going to happen before midnight, the reason is I don''t think he would have taken another loanee (thats not a striker) without him having something in the bag. One other thing Iversen is in England at the moment, as to if its a family break or whatever who knows

I think I am going to cry

If we don''t sign a decent striker. That is all[:(] -
Just wondered if we can clutch at straws, and take anything out of the fact that he only played 2/3rds of the game last night? Seems strange to take off your most potent striker who is on fire at the moment, the plot thickens? or not. I know its wishful thinking, but knowing he is in England sometime this week, maybe he had to catch a plane early last night.

Does he want to go anywhere? A fee with Blackpool of 250k agreed, but the man from north of the border he say NO! -

Oh bum. I assume that means he won''t be joining us within this transfer window?!
Why would you assume that? We have till midnight tmo to finalise a deal. Could easily be done but I dont think it will.
We will all bugger around on here all day and most of the night to be told we have signed the one and only, mighty.............. STEVE HOWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At which point I will lose the will to live.

He could still join us on loan after monday then sign permanently in January.
Has anyone considered the possibility that the "stumbling block" may be that we actually want him on loan to see if he can do the business before going after a permanent deal in January. Of course, that approach also contains risks.
Well lets hope he does a Robhino, as it looks like if a player really wants out they always get their own way in the end
He could still join us on loan after monday then sign permanently in January.
Rosenborg have a game tonight, so I am told, if Iversen plays we can forget him coming to us on Monday, if he doesn''t play its game on ( don''t be surprised if he is "injured" for tonights game). He is seeing him on Wednesday but doesn''t know when he is coming over here
There may be something to this. As i mentioned on a different thread this morning, rumour has it that the reason Iversen is not already wearing a yellow shirt is that we couldn''t meet his £12k a week wage demands. With Shacks heading off to Wolves (one of a few left from our Prem season) it may be that we can now bring him in. Id love to see it, he''s in fine form at the moment.
I just text my mate to see if he can find out when Iversen is coming over, because if it isn''t today or Monday then its no good to us

I know a lot of you hate this kind of rumour or speculation, but I will post it, then be prepared for the torrent of abuse. I have a friend who is a lifelong Spurs supporter and season ticket holder and the guy he sits next to has known Iversen for some years. They meet up for a beer before todays game (Chelsea v Spurs) and got talking about the past, Iversen came up in the conversation. My mates friend then said he was seeing him this week as he is going to be in England. At that point he rings me to tell me this, mainly because he knows how much I want Iversen here, could be nothing, but who knows. Ok I have my tin hat on now...........Incoming fire!
I believe he can play on the left wing too can''t he?? Gives us more options after new strikers arrive tomorrow!
He can and has in the past played left wing and I think Glenn will use him there when (notice I said when not if ) we get the couple of strikers in by midnight monday.

Wage bill? -
Owen can go for £2m say Newcastle board, but Ameobi £2.5m + what the **** is that about?
Shacks isn''t in the squad today. Does this mean he is off to Wolves to fund our mysterious target man?
Hope so, a £1 million for him is brilliant, as he hasn''t been any good since our premiership days
-
I have no doubt that it was because he was getting wound-up, after all the ref was a real pr**k

Supporters Today!

I was in the River End and haven''t heard anything like it from there in years, electric atmosphere, wouldn''t have missed it for the world. Top stuff all of the Canary faithful. as for Birmingham Fans...What a joke, no passion, no anything apart from a couple of mins after they scored -
Dejan vs. Tiny

Dejan looks classy, Tiny did a solid job, I think the value for money is in Dejan -
A real class act
"If we get this illusive target man-centre forward, then I think we are made, and nailed on certs for a play-off place." Bit over the top with that comment but I like you have reason to be abit more optimistic after some of our recent performances, the build up play looks good, and were keeping the ball on the ground alot more than last season, if we could just get a decent target man who knows how to put the ball in the back of the net every now and then, then perhaps we could surprise a few people this season, but right now I wouldn''t even bother thinking about the playoffs.
My point is what we watched today was as good as any team that I have seen play at Carrow Road since the premiership days, they were that good (My opinion, and I only had two pints) -
Just back from the game and must say at times we made it look like Man Utd playing Accrington Stanley! Superb movement on the ball, superb passing skills, and superb build up play. The problem yet again is the end product, the whole point of football, putting the ball in the back of the net. If we get this illusive target man-centre forward, then I think we are made, and nailed on certs for a play-off place. I enjoyed todays match at Carrow road more than I have enjoyed a game in a long, long time. Stefano was superb, what a great buy he is going to turnout to be Rusty has been different player in the last two or three games to what we have seen of him before, real passion and a will to win (should be Captain) Another solid performance from Matty Patty Wes ok in bits, takes to long on the ball Arturo always looks a handful to me, and looks like he can score at any moment. Sammy solid hard working performer Kennedy as above Marsh looked more confident and did less flapping. Curo, bless him he tries and the same for Crofty Good Stuff boys loved it ,just a few more goals please
