My neighbour recently bought a sportscar and booked a month long cruise to the caribbean, they didn''t tell me, but I knew they had won the lottery.  They had always shown an interest in my holiday cottage in Leadhills and had in fact stayed there for a two week holiday last summer.  They also made an offer for the cottage last summer but it was £20,000 less than I wanted.  I paid them a visit last week and told them that the cottage was still for sale. I told them the price and they were shocked, but I knew they could afford it.  They tried to negotiate a reduction but I wasn''t budging.  They phoned me today and agreed to the deal.
