1. When he is the playmaker he sometimes gets caught out so at the moment in the middle I prefer Tetty and o''neil who move the ball better. BJ is dynamic and when he has less time to think about it a good striker of the ball. So having him in a position where he has some space and can break into the box has proven how effective he can be.
 2.
Fromage Frais wrote the following post at 17/11/2014 12:12 PM: If Redmond was truly worth 10 million how come we have not won more games. ---------------- Sorry, also wanted to point this out. Wtf! Will Hughes is probably worth that - why haven''t Derby won more games. Torres scored loads before going to chelsea, why didn''t chelsea win more games? It''s just a terrible argument imo
I disagree We are not scoring goals and one of the star players in that non scoring team is NR his job in our team is to provide assists and get some goals. His pace and dribbling is tempting other teams to offer hypothetically 8-10 million. That is potential they are paying for not effectiveness. I don''t see your logic as Derby are top of the table so a player integral to that is worth a lot. One of the issues with chelsea was Torres now they have Costa it looks like a cake walk for them. If you have a valuable attacker who is not delivering end product i don''t think its illogical to cash in surely? For the record I like NR and i don''t think anyone is going to pay over 6-8 million for him anyhow.
 3.
I think anyone would go for that option FF, but Sako is worth a hell of a lot more than £4m. When people say "he needs to deliver, it''s all well and good that he''s got potential, but he needs to show it" - surely you''ve answered you''re own question. He''s 20 years old (i think) so he''s incredibly young, he''s not going to be that good at crossing or shooting on a regular basis. All we have now is a pacey young winger who''s one of the best wingers in this division and will be one of the best English wingers in the Premier League. Also when people say Hooper does not look the same player, what is this opinion based on? Is it training sessions you''ve watched, because it can''t be the very few games he''s just started to get involved in.
Forest offered 3.5 and the player threw his toys out apparently. I think another million could do it.
 4. If Redmond was truly worth 10 million how come we have not won more games. NR is potentially awesome but at this moment in time does not provide goals or clear assists in the volume required for that valuation and we don''t have the time for that potential to fruit. If we are playing money ball he is one I would trade in if we could like up a proven performer for 3-5 million in his place. If someone offered me 10 million which i could then spend on Sako from Wolves (4m ish) and Lee from Bolton (3/4) I think i would go for it. As for Hooper he does not look the same player and again a decent bid would be tempting.
 5. If you walk in with a long white pro series lens....quite rightly they would say this guy is there to take photos not just watch the match. Also the longer the lens the more annoying you will be to others next to you clicking away.
 6. Too late now as i dont think any change of a replacement like for like. You can improve crossing and shooting especially when its not a problem of technique with NR its just he seems to snatch at things which will get better with more and more games in the more forgiving championship. He does however do what you cannot teach he is fast and has a shoulder/step that beats the first man 9 out of ten times 10. In football - rugby -etc etc this is a diamond raw material I don''t want to change any member of a winning team now TBH
 7.
I recall when we were relegated quite a few years back the first team all agreed to stay with the club for one second division season as they felt responsible for the relegation. The seasoned and matured ones amongst us will remember the details. The loyalty of modern players is to themselves only not to the club or it''s supporters. In essence that means it is only the supporters that feel the pain of relegation the players jump ship to keep afloat.
when I am 20k + a week I have a mansion to pay for (even a decent house in NR2/4 450k+) and a hot girlfriend with high expectations his and hers range rovers etc etc. Cut that 20k to 10 and it hurts not like the first example but it does and you most likely have to get or your arse and find another job. I don''t blame any player who is professional and helps us get top dollar. We have no loyalty to players who loose their talent the other way around. For example "x player he is a good signing to get up up and get rid once in the premier league". Which i have seen on twitter a few times regarding potential signings.
 8.
We got promoted = we bought top players We got relegated = we sold top players for profit Simple really.
Agree I have been thinking about those relegation wage reduction clauses and in hindsight they have been very effective. If a player feels a debt to the club they can stay on the lower wage etc etc However the ones who do not want to stay will try their hardest and be a flexible as possible to get out the door. The club also has the power as they are not being paid the full market rate and the players do not fight to hard for exit payments etc and are willing to join any premier league club who offers the best to City (ergo no fussy for a lower paying better team as on a high wage) . The exiting players have been very professional and everyone seems to have worked together to get the club the best deals on those heading off. Its now up to the manager to bring in his players and if we get another 3+ players it will be NAs team and he cannot moan if he blows it. He signings have been good so far bring on tonight.
 9. Jerome has been in the premier league longer than RVW has with a goal every 6 games (apologies if thats wrong as sourced from transfermarkt) which is a bit less than hooper. Its seems to be a great player for us you need to be hyped up and then shite and everyone else will be blamed. We are in the championship ergo players who have been good in the championship are better signings than speculative big money deals for players who may or may not have it takes. I was excited about RVW but he showed from what i saw absolutely nothing in fact I am elated at the deal the club have done to get him out the door. At 27/28 and at this lower level I expect Jerome to get a goal every 3/4 games with his pace and power causing massive problems for slower/worse defenders and leading to the same number of assists. With a front 3 this is a very good signing if it happens as even if he has a poor game he is big strong and fast and that get you something at this lower level.
 10.
Hi all, Cardiff fan in peace. Just seen this: @BBCWalesSport: BREAKING NEWS: @CardiffCityFC are to sign midfielder Anthony @Pilkington_11 from @NorwichCityFC for an undisclosed fee Good signing for us do you think? Admit I don''t know an awful lot about him. Good luck for the season.
£5 million player injured 4/5 of the time so 1 million a fair deal
 11.
I think Adams is somewhat of a puppet in all transfer dealings. Things can only start to look up, the past year to date has been pretty depressing
I do not think any employee would take a wage cut and then turn down a double money move back to the big time. The relegation wage clauses protect the finances of the club but keeping players subjected to that cut is not easy I would think. It has become clear if the price it right they are off.
 12.
You''ve been really determined to give Adams 1 game haha
+1 It amazes me how fickle people are. Its not championship manager you don''t just buy players and they perform at their peak the day after signing. Players are human and some of them do not want to be at the club = they are not committed/buying in 100%. I expect a tough first few games up to the window and then things to pick up from there. The good news is this is the championship, at any stage (aside from a total meltdown) we can shoot up on a good roll. I give it 10 games to shake out the people who do not want to be here and make progress. This is to be expected.
 13. I do like Germanay. Better football with cheaper tickets being able to watch the football in a nice sized family house which cost under £300,000 would be good also. Its not a cheap country but its not such as rip off as here.
 14. KK had something we missed he had one point of his game which was world class which was his leap. Now I have no doubt that Elmander is a better player but being all round good does not cut it in the premier league. My feeling is thus assume the defenders in the premier league are v good - excellent. If you all around good your screwed better to either be better then them all round or have a few components to your game which are excellent. Power - Pace - Shooting - Heading - Technique/Dribbling etc Now a player with most of those up front is going to cost a packet, what KK had was a excellent leap which did get us points over the limited games he played for us. Unfortunately the players we did sign where logically better but they did not have any component of their game which made them effective in the system we employed. I leave Hooper out to a certain extent as his shooting technique is very good, he just is not fast or powerful enough to make his own chances from what I saw....but what is there is worth a punt for lower table Prem teams. Now look back over the games where we had no plan b up front I refuse to believe KK would not have caused enough chaos in the box in one or two of them as a sub to get us a few more points.
 15. I don''t mind loans but to fill a gap rather than the foundation of a side. What is the equivalent of a Crouch or a Huckerby now... Your talking about a proven premier league quality player who we can get in to make a difference with the outside bet he may want to stay. For example we are top 6 and Sigurdsson wants to come no problem we blow millions but its rolling the dice to get even more. As for blooding arsenals/manchester united''s youngsters no thanks we have our own.
 16.
Although £3m is an awful lot of money for a player of his technical ability, we need someone with a bit of pace and has scored a good few in the championship. Good first signing imo and will be a very good addition to the squad (hope that price tag was worth it though).
22 goals in the division with some pace has to be worth a couple of million these days. You can make a fast player better...... but a slow one will never become fast so pace is one of those attributes I would always pay extra for. Champs level defenders are not as fast as the premier league and they make mistakes so with a good team around him this guy is going to score a ton. There cannot be a better feeling than being away from home and under pressure....someone makes a cock up and boom nicked goal. We never had any pace last season so we never got anything we did not deserve.
 17. We need pace in the Striking department with or without Rhodes just to have it as part of the mix. I think this lad will be a good signing. Cardiff already have bid the release clause and we will nip in there and offer them Surman and try and head it off i guess over 20 goals last season and hardworking powerful with pace.... whats not to like compared with what we have?
 18.
All good to hear.. but let''s not get too cocky - 2 or 3 seasons in the Championship and that gap will be very close indeed. We''ll still be better though obviously :p I mean we got more fans than them when we were in League 1!
I agree its bad karma to have shadenfreude over our rivals. Lets get back in the premier league before we get too smug
 19. Good pace and raw materials Good signing at about 2-3 million and with some work could be very good.
 20.
I can''t see why he wouldn''t come here instead of a PL club. He chose Blackburn when he could have gone to a PL club (probably). He seems a sensible lad who wants his career to progress instead of being a well-paid bench warmer. We can offer him that progress, especially if we sell our promotion prospects to him.
He is a bit like Dean Ashton as in a premier league team will not risk near 10 million on him as he does not have the pace. For that kind of money they would rather buy an international from another country like we did and failed with RVW. However at this level he is actually worth more as he = goals. Its the same scenario for Hooper if he was a cheap squad player I would have him in a lower premier league team...... however for a champs team he does look like a 20 goal a season striker.
 21. +1 6 million and logicall he will be off a very good player with top class attributes but some flaws which slow down the team. How often I saw him do the difficult bit running around people etc but imagine you are a forward making that run in and that ball just does not come in ..... still waiting ah now it does and your swamped with defenders. If Elliot Bennett is good to go then I would assume he is more of a Adams type to break fast and deliver a ball of high quality in there whilst everyone is running in. Also mixing it up a bit and putting the ball in early.
 22. I agree I also hope that Adams goes with the same formula that won the FA youth cup....Power and Pace With a load of pace and power up front you can bully and snatch a lot of games in this division as defenders don''t have the pace that they do in the Prem. A skilful number 10 with vision would help setup that dynamism though I feel that maybe redmond may be used in that role more this year.
 23.
http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/25243/? “I’m devastated and embarrassed for myself and Neil. I couldn’t believe this was happening, especially that they would undermine Neil on his first day.”
This is a bizzare story if true It does indeed undermine Neil Adams if he cannot choose his own guys to help him do the job that he wants to do. Such things quickly lead to demoralisation and also give the impression of a lack of confidence/interfering board. But on the other side of the coin who goes and offers jobs to people like that? You would presume that NA would say i want x as my assistant manager and then they would go and deal with his employers etc.
 24.

I would choose WBA They stayed up have the money to spend and will also probably pay him more. he could fail with us in the champs and be toast. If you think your good at your job why not have a go at the highest level possible.
If he fails here he will still be the manager next season more likely than not , fail at West Brom and he will be out of work a couple of months into the season .
I don''t see that... if he is pants with us I bet he will be out the door within a year also. I would think we are going to go for promotion this year and anything less than playoffs is a disaster. West Brom on the other hand just have to be a bit better than last year and he will be fine. I guess my question for you would be is it easier getting promoted into the Prem or staying up?
