  1. I have met a few Ewan Roberts shopping with his partner Bryan Gunn on several occasions and golf courses but my favourite random meet was Stuart webber at dereham recycling centre. It was when his stock was a lot higher but so many lines and so little time in the end I just smiled and nodded and said getting shot of some of the trash and he did at least laugh
  2. I cant help feeling webber has missed a number of points, he said after the last relegation that if anyone was to blame it was him for sending farke to war with no bullets in his gun. If anything this year was worse as he gave him a loaded gun but loaded with blanks. He learnt nothing from the previous recruitment, we needed more fire power more physicality in the centre . Any fan who has watched in the last 3 years identified these failings. He had to get rid of farke if not it would suggest he had bought a load of misfiring players who werent ready or good enough to compete. he brought in a proven experienced manager. Can anyone tell me that smith got any better performace from these players than farke. So we return to the same conclusion recruitment not good enough, but worse lack of system effort and any real hope to add as well under smith. To blame fans for giving up is just contemptible and that on its own makes his position untenable.. in the whole interview there is one truth that if you dont like it you can vote with your feet. Well after having had three season ticket for 30 years im going to take his advice. I will of course support my team from a distance but when the reward for a really successful season is a year of humiliation p*** poor performances and a league stinking of privilege, questionable owners, var and refereeing decisions i think at least for a while im done. Dont feel great about it but 1600 quid to be told we gave up and to vote with our feet if we dint like it is arrogant and stinks of the same detached remote privilege as those elite clubs in the premier league perhaps he is ready for a job at a big club ego and attitude to supporters is certainly spot on
  3. Saw him at thetford forest with jackie abbott during the euros or world cup a few years ago and he had a monitor on the stage to watch a game. Stopped during a song, apologised but said spain have just scored!! footie mad and top live band
  4. Not going today got to the point if the players cant be a***d to turn up and webber only 90% of the time why should i for a completely meaningless fixture
  5. So two thirds of the way through the season and with 64 points on the board who has started looking at the remaining fixtures and working out where the points are likely to come from. The average points needed to secure promotion has been 86 so allowing a few more I reckon 89 might be enough. Thats 24/25 more. 8 wins and a draw from the last 15. How confident are we feeling? One positive is that although we still have Brentford, Watford, Bournemouth, Reading all to play they are all at home. Would be fantastic if some fans could be there to help.
  6. from a local Liverpool paper. Liverpool have put a £20 million price tag on Harry Wilson amid interest from Leeds, Newcastle, Crystal Palaceand Southampton. Wilson, 23, wants regular top-flight football next season after scoring seven Premier League goals on loan at Bournemouth and Jurgen Klopp is prepared to let him leave Anfield. The champions value Wilson at £20million, even though the Wales winger has only made one substitute appearance for them in the FA Cup. Liverpool feel Wilson has much potential, while his value is also bolstered by the fact he has three years remaining on his Reds contract. Umm anyone see the hypocrisy here. Wilson good player but one successful season in the champs and then an ok Season in the premier on loan where he wasn’t a regular starter. The management say he is worth 20m as he has potential. Lewis is a regular international I’m going off Liverpool rapidly the way they went public before submitting an offer looks like an effort to unsettle the player to get him on the cheap. I hope Webber sticks to his guns in future negotiations with other clubs.
  7. [8-)] Well I am no clearer now than I was last night when i went to bed all excited. On one hand we have Delia bursting to tell us something at the Show about new investment and all sorts of rumours about players signing. One or two posters who do appear to have some genuine inside info have hinted at real investment and players coming in. On the other hand the Smiths statement would appear cold at best. If i had slapped 20million on the table i would have hoped for some communication from the club in the last 6 months. Cullum appears to fulfil the Smiths requirements. The plot thickens.
  8. Hi this is my first post. I havent read the article yet but judgiung by Delias performance at the Norfolk show discussions and negotiations must be well advanced. I dont know anybody "inside" the club but would suspect that a statement from the club would be very likely by today or tomorrow. Could also be that the stumbling block last year may have been about who Culums people are and who''s job they might be taking!! lots of posts re Doncaster going.
