We have joint majority shareholders on the board who both have 20 years experience of running a football club. You may or may not like how they go about running it, but if after 20 years of running a football club you''re not "football people" then such a thing surely can''t exist

Whilst we have 25 professionals of age, they only count to the squad limit if they are named. There''s nothing to stop us having more at the end of the window then loaning those out who don''t make the cut afterwards. I''m not saying I think it will happen just pointing out that it''s not a bar to further signings

I agree, it is to me blatantly obvious that there is plenty to be optimistic about but you wouldn''t think it looking on here since Saturday, even from the previous comments of some saying that it''s obvious! As for our best 11, if you replace Martin & Dorrens with Klose & Tettey from Saturday''s starting 11 & possibly O''neil for Howson depending on who & where we''re playing then I think that''s about it.

I genuinely feel that if we can play the majority of the remaining games with our best team on the pitch we have enough to keep up. Had Tettey & O''neil been on the pitch Saturday I think we would''ve had enough to see the game out even without Bennet/Klose. With these two (with Howson for O''neil depending on the opposition) plus Klose to come in we have a decent lower mid table match day squad. If we land the 1 or 2 extra the manager identifies even better but either way still plenty to be optimistic about for me

It was without doubt a crazy challenge to make. Nobody except the player can know for sure if there was malice aforethought, but in my experience of playing the game I have to say that if I ever ran as far as 30 yards to make a tackle anywhere on the pitch one thing was absolutely certain, you were going down once I got there. Sometimes it was controlled malice, sometimes uncontrolled s*itness but one way or another you were getting clattered :) As for getting rid of him or not starting him again after his ban, smacks a little of cutting of your nose to spite your face. He''s apologised let''s move on.

Well we played all these teams in the first half of the season and were in my opinion slightly unlucky to only end up with 20 points so I see no reason why we couldn''t accrue at least that many again in the second half of the season. What makes you think we''ll be worse with a manager who''s got slightly more experience seems to learn from his mistakes and hopefully a moderately better set of players to choose from?

This match is such a different proposition from Arsenal that there are bound to be a few surprises. I expect the back five to remain unchanged & Brady & Tettey & Howson to feature after that it''s names out of a hat.

John Barns had a crack & I think Rudd Gullit was a pundit before he took on a management job but memory may have got the better of me on that one.

If someone was prepared to pay £8 mil for him then you''d have to think you''d be looking at £15-20 mil to get any kind of proven improvement to replace him and there''s just no way we have that kind of money to throw at a player at the moment I''d have thought.

Of course the fact that Bradley takes more shots and attempts more long passes may also indicate that he has better positional sense and vision to enable him to do this in the first place. Or it may not. Stats are meaningless on their own and certainly can''t hold a candle to a mark 1 eyeball and for my eyes he bossed the midfield on Tuesday.

The Villa goal celebration was what could reasonably be expected of a player who at the time was in a kind of limbo between the two clubs.
