1. Good post  Well done for postingDespite some negative posts about information it is what message boards thrive on.  Bits of information here and bits of information there.Rarely is there smoke without fire.  I understood there to be more in it than has come out.  It took a long time to get the story straight imoFor my penny''s worth I dont believe we are out of the woods yet.  Doubt Burnley will be back but there are others circling for that I am sure. Its that time of year
 2.
For the January dealings.   Well done McNally and the board.   All will soon be revealed.   OTBC
Or he got a call from somebody else saying hang ona little while while we sort our own mess out
 3. Yes and whilst Dalglish is temp in charge Someone will get the job from another club  Just may create another opportunity  Maybe NOTLOB
 4. It will not be the L''Pool job but between now and the summer there will be other Prem jobs coming up  There a several in the firing line already  Did PL get a call saying hang on mate keep reading the magazines we want you from London ?
 5. I am more than concerned that PL has bigger fish to fry than Burnley just nowAt least 2 more Prem managers under scrutiny with Woy gone.  He may think that he will get a bigger club out of the merry go round that will undoubtedly occur
 6. Everybody is far too excitedWhilst it may seem things happen instantaneously they dontBurnley are interested we dont want him to goHe may be in 2 minds may use it as a bargaining tool or genuinely doesnt know what he thinks about there opportunity  He might just want to know what Burnley are saying and you cant blame anybody for thatRemember  money destroyed all loyalty in football.  Ginger Pele  know al about not being wanted and possibly Bg as well  both sides to the coinAnyway it will take a few days to sort
 7. EvansWhy would he want a change so quicklyI think its pie in the sky and just a rumour with no substance
 8. Oh dear is this what it comes to when we loseHe wont be the first to do it to you and he wont be the lastSounds like good use of plods time . Not
 9.
Again yet more stereotypes coming out from Nolly!   Why wouldn''t a promoted team be this high, its happened before?    The opposite to this is everyone assuming relegated sides will do so great in the Championship which doesn''t always occur, indeed many clubs relegated from the Premiership are in a worse state than promoted sides out of League 1!
Perhaps paranoia reigns when there is so much angst against a quote.
 10. What ever happened to one game at a time.  Its not FM 2010Speculation is for PC gamesI think that each game is influenced by the last and confidence levels  A good little winning streak can have a big impact  confidence is high and opposition not keen to play you.  The other way round and it becomes difficult to pick up any pointsIt just doesnt matter other than its fun ( I think)

I think that the appointment of Stephen Fry onto the NCFC board,  is ''quite nice''. Although, in my opinion - and even with Stephen''s talent, networking and twittering, new board member Stephen Fry is very unlikely to court or bring in a rich investor (or investors) with considerable and serious finance - who would be quite prepared and content with just having a seat on the board, with an occasional vote, limited decision making and input - and a lovely lunch before the game... I certainly wouldn''t expect them to.....Fortunate then, that we didn''t go into administration last season - as the majority shareholders (and NCFC) would have then stood to lose more than just their investment and return of loans....it''s certainly a helluva risk owning a football club.    I was just slightly curious and really do wonder what the lack of progress or stumbling block is/was, with these/those, ''interested parties''....? Any theories? How truly and actually really determined are our club hierarchy, actively seeking further investment to our club? The only one''s I can recall, are the recent appointment of Stephen Fry to the board - and then that ''sneeze and you''ll miss him'' brief and fleeting visit last season, of Mr Fernandes of Lotus F1 and AirAsia fame. Our current CE seemed to be doing his damned hardest to promote our club to Mr Fernandes by also inviting the local press and TV media to be present.....Although I do then remember seeing Mr Fernandes sat at the back of the Directors Box for the game he was invited to watch, and strange and unusual, not sitting alongside the majority shareholders....Oh well....never mind.         We most certainly do require further investment - whether it brings in new ownership or not....We don''t want to lose key personnel due to financial frustration....do we?  Anyway.....maybe our Stephen, can hopefully pull a lucky rabbit out of the hat for us..... ''Here''s hopping''......
Its right to hope that somebody will come along and invest but the continual harping on at the current landlords is wasting breath ( or time if you are typing)Blackpool are a good example that you can move forward as are WBA neither of them are owned by mega rich.truth is many football clubs could be bought right now by an opportunistic but few change hands because everybody fears the pompey/leeds scenario''s if on a smaller scaleIts is true that millionaires are not worth having anymore.  To make a difference they have to billionaires. It reminds me of an old Richard Branson saying when invited to speak to an assembled bunch of business man.  He said i was asked to speak on How to become a millionaire.  My first though was why should I tell them but second thought was First you becaome a billionaire and then you buy an airline !  Substitute Football club for airline and the story is the same.  Thats the real problem.  Nobody is making real money out of woning a football club

 13.
Portsmouth ''likely to close down'' total mismanagement of a football club the vultures(players)have bleed the club dry, silly transfer fees paid and now it looks like the club will die because of this. 100 years of history killed because of greed and the only people to lose are the loyal fans of this club.in my view its time to stop this happening to any more clubs the F.A. and Premier Lge need to put new rules and regs in place to stop the current overspending and silly wages paid to very average players and vastly overrated foreigners who keep entering these shores other wise which club is going to be next ? ...........the first nail in the coffin for our once great game a very sad day for English football :(
I am not sure why football clubs should have special considerations  They are like all businesses  They live and die by how they operate.  Any way this looks like a "Rooneyism"  Somebody playing high noon with conditions or contract clauses they want in the media  Still along way to go   Dont write them off  yet
 14.
A man on each post for corners - you learn that at school....
Yet so many dont  It isnt just Norwich that dont do it.Counter argument is  Dont let have the chance in the first place  More players marking and contesting the ball less need for people to stand by th epost just in caseThat said most GK''s are very self critical  They hate letting in any goal  They always fel they could have done better
 15. Wrong place wrong time for the guyWe will never know if he could have made it at NorwichDebuts in new leagues are notoriously difficult.  His performance on the day was not representative of pre season. The turmoil in the club would have a major impact on someone who didnt not have a bunch of big time experience.  His main supporters were gone after a short time he was in England and he was faced with a manager with no information on him and had conceded 7 against his side. Less than  auspicious start.Chance gone
 16.
I''m not a keeper specialist, but for me outfield players require lots of pre-season practice and fitness work, whereas a keeper should be able to pretty much jump straight into a game without any fitness/ match practice issues. The guy flapped like a pigeon stuck in a tornado.
Wow If you think that statement is true about a GK dont go close to any teams GK   It would appear you are missing a lot about being a GK
 17.
Holt is doing what is required of him by Lambert within the current formation and it''s proving effective, yes!
I am really surprised that in the whole thread only one person has mentioned the team. There is another thread extolling the virtues of the away and the lack of goals conceded.  That comes at a price.  The side is playing 10 yds deeper to achieve a compact difficult to beat unit.  The most noticeable place you see the difference in is the ST''s.  Holt gets singled out because of his prevoius successes and the reason he looks knackered near the end of the games is that he is working opposition defences far harder than he has had to do in the past.We are having a good run, its always hard in your early days in a higher division so I am currently happy. If I have a fear it is that Lambert is the son of MON and we will always be a hard workman like side ( much as Vanilla ( and I think Leicester were) and LPool will be !!!) and I would like to see more expression in the side once initial objectives ( staying in the division) have been met
 18. Whilst out of context to debate of whether we are similar to the bindippers and the role of board etc the most confusing point is actually in the title.  The major issue is the deadline for the repayment of the loan to RBS.  This loan was enetended under conditions so RBS to a charge on the clubAs in any situation if a loan that cannot be repaid then those that made the loan can pursue any way to recover the money including selling the club.  It is much in the same way that when you buy a house with a mortgage the lender in nearly every case can take the house back if you default on payments.  You may of course offer alternatives but it is up to them to protect their money.
 19. This is sadIt reinforces a provincial view of football. It sounds at though settling for second ( or possibly 3rd ) best becaus ethey would be very difficult to compete with.Sure its tough to make things happen in the prem but things dont last for ever.  It would be far better to earn the right and be promoted to play the likes of the big guns in the prem.It may take a season or 2 to establish the club as recognised club in the prem but to have the likes of Drogba, Essien, Van der Vart, Fabregas and Rooney here at CR would be great. We must want to pit our wits ( and Im sure Lambert does) against the giants of the game.  Its better than joining a 2nd rate european type competition. If you take it to the ultimate conclusion it promotes the idea that we want to pla and be the best in the region only.No thanks I look forward to a rocking Carrow Road and beating a Chelski or Manure in a mid week ficture
 20. Not sure why anybody is really bothered by ForsterIt isnt as though he came here because he wanted to  he cam because he thought it was a good opportunity for him  Norwich was simply the vehicleIt might be different if there was any chance he would sign permanently but I think that very remote  What he does in Scotland is of little relevance and hardly any different than Robbie Keane going back there as a loanee.  I mean who cares
 21. These days it is not a particularly big decision to play youth football in the country you are playingHe doesnt have to chose who he would play as a full international for fr a few years  that pre supposes he will be good enough ... for either
 22.

long way to go to beat Ken Brown ( and Mel Machin as his assistant)You have just got to be old enough to remember
Name Nat From To P W D L %W ken brown stats 1 November 1980 9 November 1987 367 150 93 124 40.9 Paul Lambert 18 August 2009 Present 47 31 9 7 66.0 Lamberts win percentage is 16% more, i cant belive we''ve only lost 7 times with lambert!
The opposition may have been a little differentDont remember ken managing Norwich in the third divisionI know that tools to hand ( players) comes into it but please lets see what he really can do

 24.
I think you are rightMON and Lambert are the same person arent they and have you ever seen them in a room together  Or at least Lambert is junior MONAnybody suggesting that Pool would take Lambert at this time is just nuts.  For all his good work he doesnt have the experience or profile yet to manage a side with 2 w/c winners, w/c runner up 1, England captain and Konchelsky in it
Should have added that taking the canaries to Cardiff and Swansea would hardly qulify him as having european experience as a manager
