  1. There must be something wrong for any such suggestion to emerge on a public forum.
  2. The irony is many of our fans were moaning about the ref.
  3. You appear to be a very sensible poster. To fill in 1 or 2 gaps though. NCFC'S average for the past 2 sets of accounts was 10%. In a non-parachute Championship season it would be 30%. In the latter they are happy with a large number of season ticket holders including a high proportion of long distance ones who inevitably leave empty seats for midweek matches. They, or at least some of the influential personalities, aspire to be forever in the Premier League and look longingly at this Agenda.
  4. The article on the back of the Observer Sports Section today suggests the Victorians got it right in terms of the economic rewards of football between owners, supporters and players. Every subsequent decision has been a retrograde step leading to where we are now.
  5. Lieutenant Columbo would have picked up on that evidence before he switched the kettle on.
  6. Strange that just like Liverpool we had a 2% season ticket increase that pays a star players wages for around 1 month. Then again not strange at all.
  7. As per the WSC magazine editorial. The last column explains it well.
  8. They were in the Championship equivalent in 74/75 when they doubled us including a 3-2 win at Carrow Road with 2 goals in the first 90 seconds in front of a huge crowd who were claiming tickets for the Man Utd. League Cup semi 4 days later which we won 1-0.
  9. Put it this way. The Government - daft though they are - want to see viable going concern sports clubs. Following the demise of Rugby Club's such as Worcester (probably equivalent to the likes of Peterborough in football terms) the DCMS will be in high alert which is doubtless why the EFL is taking an eternity re our approval.
  10. It was good to hear their opinion on FA Cup Replays given their expoits against Charlton last season to which my nephew - an ex-player of theirs- got an invite.
  11. Indeed which makes it very strange that the Ombudsman who took my case was an ex Birmingham City employee. Presumably the new owners are making a better impression? If 40% of NCFC's season ticket holders are long distance travellers that is a double edged issue which reflects that to some extent Norfolk is a low wage area and the Club as part of the community should proceed with sensitivity on that matter.
  12. I know nothing about the finances of Rugby other than that some of their Clubs that have gone bust recently have done so with far more modest debt than NCFC currently have.
  13. Thank you for that and leaving aside 'unprintable' and perhaps 'vendetta" all perfectly true. I am sure I was a major influence in their discomfort at the AGM though I did feel a little sympathy for S&J when some guy behind stood up and said he couldn't wait for their amateurish regime to end and pass fully to the Americans. My issue with them is that what we are witnessing now is a long way removed from the Munby, Cullen logic of we are all in this together and getting backsides on seats and they ought to remember the value of that. The only other fan finance scheme I have contributed to is AFC Wimbledon which may please some on here.
  14. It is of little consequence since it is clear that revenue from existing EFL contracts works out at around £1 million per year for a Clubs such as NCFC and Sunderland.
  15. So Birmingham are offering a dad and his lad or lass seats for £20. I did that when passing up the Rotherham home game. The family can't afford it, the grandparents, who can, paid. How much does the Club want for equivalent seats for tomorrow's game? Concessions nor seats aren't available in Block M (where I sit) much to the chagrin of many OAP's. The answer would be around £65. Block J is every bit as good, should have the same pricing structure as Block M and would cost £40. Still not cheap is it which is why people don't buy. You still have to pay for midweek games you can't get to. Why doesn't the Club offer you an opt out and some money back then have family offers for such matches as Birmingham have done? To be fair we know the answer to that question but we don't have to like it and I don't
  16. Well there you go. A Football Club that gives a little extra and on your doorstep. They are making it cheap for their fans families too on 4 May. They probably don't pay out £500k for their prime Fan Engagement Officer which is why they can afford it.
  17. With 60% of Championship matches on Sky next season, more people may decide to watch at home.
  18. You will be helping the Club's Green Strategy which is more than can be said for the frequent flyers.
  19. Have you seen the gates for EFL trophy matches? A complete waste of time.
  20. Not sure where you get your 2018/19 figure from since the entry in that year's accounts (from doubtless a slightly lower price base) was £9.351 million. It would be interesting to know how the new EFL shakes down relative to the loss of Canaries TV.
  21. Something else eminently sensible gone to pot.
