  1. Yep he is a central midfielder. Your probably right about Crofts, the Premiership might be of been a step too far for him. He scored some vital goals in our promotion season though so he will always be held in high regard for me.
  2. Norwich and Fulham are set to compete to land £500,00-rated Aberdeen midfielder Fraser Fyvie, 19. Full story: Daily Express My friend who is an Aberdeen fan raves about this guy, I hope this has some substance.
  3. I''d say there are two front runners for it, Ruddy and Holt. But I believe this is partly down to the fact they have been injury free/consistent all season. If you look at the start of the season, Tierney won the first two club player of the months. Had he not of got this injury lay off this year, he could of won it. If Howson had been here all season, he''d be up there. Whitbread also, as he has had a few injuries. Naughton, Russell Martin, Fox, Pilkington and Morison have all had good seasons, too.
  4. This is bloody tough, I''d go for: 1) Holt 2) Ruddy 3) Fox Surman, Martin, Zak and Naughton are unlucky to miss out and have all had tremendous seasons.
  5. He reminded me of Scott Parker today, but more attacking. He looks quality so far but I do agree, it''s too early to call him Lamberts best signing. Give it until the end of the year and he could well be.
  6. I was two rows behind the ball boy (excuse my username). Morison told him to leave it, and Johnson said to him he was a f***ing c*nt and pretend to chuck the ball at him. Sore loser.
  7. As bad as it sounds, I totally forgot that Lappin was still at the club for a little while until I read the headline of the thread.
  8. I''d go positive with a 4-4-2, looking like this:   Ruddy R Martin Bennett Whitbread Naughton Pilkington Fox Howson Surman Morison Holt I''d give Morison a chance to win back his place by dominating Wigan''s weak back line.
  9. Am I the only fan a little bit thankful that our players are being over looked? They keep fresh and injury free for us. England had 3 players taken off yesterday because they got injured.
  10. I actually watched more of the Wales game then the England one due to us having two players starting. Crofts and Morison both had good games. Crofts got man of the match, he looked hungry, made himself available all the time and his passing was good. Morison was unlucky not to score and put in a good shift.
  11. I do agree with the title of the post as well as some other keys players but it''s only one cup game. Them players did deserve a rest as they have played lots of games at a high standard this season.
  12. It''ll be one of Ayala/Whitbread alongside Bennett. I think that Whitbread might just pip Ayala because he is left footed and a more mature presence then Ayala. I then think Martin will be used as fourth choice back up as well as strong cover for Naughton, maybe even starting ahead of him, Ward fifth and Barnett sixth. That doesn''t mean Ward won''t feature as he seems to like Ward at the back and put Martin on the right if we have injuries. I do think at the end of the season Ward and more likely, Barnett will leave at the end of the season.
  13. I wouldn''t say £1 million is an offer Forest would reject in the summer, AJ. Depending on circumstances, if they go down they will have to get some high earners off the wage bill and I know Forest are in some trouble financially already. I still think we will go on for Snodgrass and Naughton next summer. I''d like us to get a good defensive midfielder, we lack physical presence in the centre mid and a striker.
  14. I hope that the players stay with the frame of mind that we need 40 points to stay up. I''m sure Lambert will maintain this stance.
  15. I''d go with Ruddy Naughton R Martin Whitbread Tierney Bennett Fox Johnson Pilkington               Jackson Holt
  16. Sky Sports have announced at least two clubs are plotting late bids to sign Robert Snodgrass. Could one of them be us?
  17. Vedran Corluka has left Spurs to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan. Hopefully this doesn''t spell in Naughton being bought back.
  18. I know he''s a quality player and he would add something different to our strike force.
  19. I defintely believe he would of sent De Laet back for more then just his injury problems. It''s clear he wants another player in on loan. He might also want to sign someone permanently too.
  20. I''d also love to see Miyachi here. He looks great in videos and would give us something different to what we have.
  21. I''d expect Wilbraham and possibly Drury leave at the end of the season with Naughton also leaving to go back to Spurs. I''d also expect the rest to be given new contracts.
  22. Of course, I''m not questioning that. I just said this as I doubt we would pay anyone that high a wage at this moment in time.
