1.
Just wait for the press tomorrow.
In all fairness, why would he have done all this if he wanted to avoid negative publicity? If what you say is true, he''ll have alienated 25,000 people more than he would have if he''d just not said anything at all. Strikes me as completely stupid.
 2.
Have just heard from a very reliable friend at Fleet Street, that Peter Cullum has decided he can do without the negative press and baggage that will come along with owning a football club.Oh well.
Scratch my previous response, I think you might just be having a knock at CRAFTY CANARY? lol
 3. So he didn''t consider that before he put this all out in the open?Distinct whiff of BS on that one, I''m afraid.
 4.
Camberwick Green on the official site makes an excellent point about the £56m valuation (and Camberwick is a highly-qualified accountant by trade) "''fraid not.... I posted this in another thread but there is no way that the price is £56m.. this is pure smoke and mirrors from the club shareholders, who after proclaiming that were willing to sell, actually aren''t becuase ego has a big value.... OK technically the bank loans in the £56m would be repayable but the club cannot seriously be suggesting that a man of Cullums wealth could not re-finance these deals, even in the current era of lending uncertainty... if it came to it, he could organise for his business to loan the money.... Cullum has more collateral than Delia and the Turners put together, he''s one of the 40th richest people in Britain, and people are worried that the loans won''t be renewed??? That is totally laughable.... so lets wipe £16m off that immediately shall we??? Purchase of shares £16m - Based on buying 100% of the shares?? well yes ok, but Cullum doesn''t have to buy 100% of the shares, under listing rules he only has to offer for them and pay who takes his offer - who says everyone will accept?? he''s not compelled to buy ALL shares until he gets to 95% (or so) - so in reality he offers for Delia''s shares and maybe a few others want out too... he ends up with 60% maybe... so call it £9m not £16m, and he can afford that. Directors loans - valid, they''re repayable on demand, cannot see that as a hurdle. So, the cost of the buyout far from being the £36m (excluding player investment) the clubs suggests is actually £13m..... The club''s statement is laughable and exists solely as an example of how they don''t want their delicate, precious, comfy world disrupted.... which is precisely what our club needs. I don''t doubt that the timing of this is raining on someone''s parade, but I''m glad that it is - our complacent board need this kick up the backside. I''d like to see Cullum go for the overhaul where its most needed.... he is precisely what our club needs, the fact that the club still doesn''t see this just speaks volumes, and is precisely why we need change. The club should be as ashamed of its statement, it''s a joke and demonstrates precisely why we need Cullum and his planned overhaul. - and I bet we sign players tomorrow !" I would be grateful if you would all tattoo that to the inside of your eyelids before you go to bed. There will be a test on it tomorrow.
I would love it, LOVE IT, if that came off.
 5.
Commercial law wasn''t my strongest subject but I think the big problem with having to buy the entire issued share capital could be avoided by setting up a private company (ltd) to buy the club. The ltd  would buy 100% of the club but the ltd could be owned say 51% by Cullum and 49% shared between the current shareholders. This could give him the control he wants without having to own the whole club which it doesnt sound like he wants. Obviously in practice this would be pretty complicated. I think it cold possibly be done by paying for the club partly in shares of the ltd. Anyways if this works it would mean that Cullum would only have to pay 8ish million for the club and we could possibly keep the board loans in place. ... i think...
An interesting point if true. Would depend on everything being amicable during the negotiations though!
 6.
As cullum said he wont give ncfc anymore money after the initial 20 million, cant see him buying the club for 56 million!
He didn''t actually say that, he said that he wouldn''t keep ploughing money into the club (such as £10m a season)...
 7. So, let me get this straight... The shareholders own the club (valued at £16m) and the club owns a debt of £16m. That looks like a very big bargaining chip to me...
 8. I would think that''s highly unlikely... We''ve got a season to prepare for, regardless of whether there are going to be changes at the top.
 9. Why aren''t you responding to your thread about Rigters? A lot of people have asked about your source, but you''ve not come forward with any information... Why is that?
 10.

Yet more rubbish... He played a key part in two goals during his two fleeting appearances last season. As for "no-one" being in for him, that''s nothing but guess work. For the money we''d be getting a good quality player, IMO.
No its not.............how many did he score for Blackburn?...............I believe it was none!.
Considering that we were talking about his appearances "for us last season", I don''t really think that''s relevant? To expect a player to come in from abroad and make an instant impact is unfair, particularly when Blackburn primarily employed him on the right wing when he did play. Combined, these two points can somewhat hinder a player''s effectiveness. Of all the players we have been linked with during the window, Rigters is one of the most exciting. I really don''t understand where you''re coming from Wiz.
 11.
Statement from Delia
They said that they wouldn''t comment fully until they''ve seen the detail of the article... Now they have... So come on, let''s hear it.
 12.

its fair to say ur a plonker!!!
Wow! I''m impressed![:D]
you are aplonker, wheres your hard facts?? wheres this injury record??? your a class A prat.. you know it, we all know it...!! he is a good footballer, with something to prove.. and with skill... something id rather like at our club...!!!
Oh charming! He failed at Blackburn, and got injured here after just 2 games, those are facts I related to...........not your playground jibes[:|]
Blackburn are a slightly different club to us (They''re in the Premiership) so to judge him on his performance there is not entirely a fair reflection on how he would get on playing for us. Furthermore, those appearances for Blackburn were his first in English football. It takes time for players to bed in...
 13.

Surprise, surprise, Wiz just disappears....
What?........... from you?...........you''re in denial mate..............I''ve never disappeared or ducked a cyber fight ever. I''ve been catching up with other City sites and opinions. I think its now fair to say we live in interesting times.
And that post confronts your comments about Rigters how? Come on, at least make an effort to justify your negative nonsense! What other injuries has he suffered in the last three years? Did you see his performances for Holland U21s last summer? Admit it, you know next to nothing about the guy.
I''ll tell you this, why, if he''s so hot, is no one else in for him?............... and watching him play for us last season told me all I really needed to know! Next!
Yet more rubbish... He played a key part in two goals during his two fleeting appearances last season. As for "no-one" being in for him, that''s nothing but guess work. For the money we''d be getting a good quality player, IMO.
 14.
Roeder must have liked what he briefly saw of him last year on loan...at this early stage its unclear as to whether the move is a permenant one or a loan with a view to a permenant move (or indeed whether or not he will agree terms!) but he''s definately in talks
Anyway, ignoring the slightly senile one... Who/What is your source, The Lord?
 15.

Then Gawd help us!
explain how this guy would not be useful in our league?????  would u prefer andy cole??? ohhh i see you think that the clubs saving grace is the bullshit written all over the front of the EDP... i''m sorry..!!   go away!
Check his injury record............ Now go away yourself.
So he''s hurt his hamstring once?!?! Come on Wiz, let''s have a list of all the other injuries he''s suffered in the last 3 seasons.
 16. I think this one''s been bubbling along for a while. For circa £500k he would be a very good signing. I read somewhere that he''s on £20k a week at Blackburn, and that negotiating a package that is acceptable to him was proving difficult... However, you never know what will happen!
 17.
I cant bare this. Maybe the revelation is that there is investment and also that there was an offer perhaps by the same person a while back that Delia turned down or somethings in the past that will also be revealed that wiz and smudge suspected was happening and indeed they were.  Hence the field day bit. I was convinved it was cullum but after reading this I am not so sure, doesn''t make sense with the dynamite and wiz and smudge bits.  Don''t know what or who to believe.
Spot on in your first thought!
 18.

This is the real bizarre bit about all this.  Nobody can deny Delia clearly indicated a genuine happiness and intimated investment - unless she just went girly under pressure and told a half truth - there is investment but contrary to the public message we rejected the offer of a legitimate norwich fan who could see us into the Premiership debt free.... Its going to be an interesting week.
Why was she all jolly? I bet it''ll go thru. ACCEPT IT!

Agree with cusdp on this......it must be as good as a done deal judging by Delia''s tease at the Royal Norfolk Show last week. She''s hopeless at keeping secrets so I''m expecting something concrete to happen soon. But I''m also puzzled like MOMAMGG........ When the Smiths were holed up in their bunker last Autumn why didn''t they raise the white flag then ?
Maybe the deal is at a later stage than we think?Maybe the club still believe that it is better to keep quiet about the money we have available?Either way this deal has to be accepted (or negotiated to an acceptable form), Peter Cullum ticks all the boxes from the point of view of a City fan who can bankroll our squad development, exactly what Delia was looking for.
 19.

Ok ok....who''s been at it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Towergate_Partnership
Someone from Peterborough...
Peterborough??
Yes.
 20.
Ok ok....who''s been at it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Towergate_Partnership
Someone from Peterborough...
 21. He came and went again in the last few minutes...Obviously doesn''t want to lie and say 8 (to sell papers) only for it to be about a 2 on the excitement scale (in his honest opinion)...** I am of course speculating!
 22.
"And if we reveal four decent players at the same time?  Why do people keep thinking we are yet to secure transfer targets?" I''ll be honest not optimistic.... At this stage money is the only draw to a club like Norwich! Hopeful in a next season it will be more ambition than money! But in the mean time dont get to excited about signings.....
Yes... But we don''t need to tell the selling club anything about our financial situation. Provided we can reach an agreement with the club in question, that''s all that''s required. Then we can offer the player wages in line with our real financial situation which may or may not have been known/improved/budgetted for prior to today.
 23.
I suspect it is the source of the potential investment hat is the shocker. Perhaps Delia has decided to sell out to a non-NCFC fan such as Robert Mugabe doing a runner and investing his ill-gotten gains in the club or a massive oil strike has been found under Carrow Road requiring the club to move home in order to exploit it.  One horrible thought is that ''Good''Evans is buying the club and will merge it with the scum to form an EA super club.
For me, the shock would be Delia going...The phraseology strikes me as that of a journo who is not really in touch with what the fans want. Delia has taken the club as far as she can (and all credit to her for that), but it''s time for fresh blood with fresh money.I suppose it would be a shock in a "surprised" way if she went, but not a "shocking" scenario.TIL1010 has pretty much confirmed it''s Cullum related with the Turners broking the deal in some way. Therefore, Delia going is the only plausible scenario for me...
 24.

...but it is not a cake that is being baked but a stick of dynamite. Smudger and wizard are going to have a field day.
I guess cake refers to Delia - so Delia on the way out too? That''ll please Smudger and Wizard. Maybe it just refers to Doncaster going?
Since reading the original post, and now yours fleckmatic, I''m thinking along similar lines....
Well that certainly would shock and intrigue... But at the end of the day, if we get £20m and another genuine Norwich fan at the helm that''s got to be good news. Delia has done alot for the club, but anyone who would get upset about her moving on is not looking at the big picture.
 25. Well a stick of dynamite has explosive connotations... Therefore "ripping" the club apart... Perhaps getting rid of Munby and Doncaster would be seen as such by some.If that''s the bad part of it all, then bring it on...
