1.

If that is so we could see a couple of players go the other way to fund a big forward. Shackell could be on his way now we have Kennedy and I guess Croft or Russell may be allowed to leave for the correct brass. Just my opinion. Any thoughts?
If Wolves still want to pay a million for Shackell, we should take it now.
I don''t think Shacks will be leaving. With Doc, Shack, Stefanovic and Kennedy we have full cover in that area, but with Kennedy''s questionable knee I don''t think it would be the best idea to get rid of Shacks as cover. That said, £1m for a backup player would mean that we could delve back into the market for another CB... I guess we''ll see!
 2.

A clean sheet would be great considering we''re playing two midfielers and two right backs at the back.
It would be damning evidence that Doherty is S***
lol, indeed!
 3. From the report, we''re dominating possession in the midfield... Got to be good news considering that Falkenbergs have lined up with 5 in the middle.A clean sheet would be great considering we''re playing two midfielers and two right backs at the back.
 4.

McVeigh - Fat
You''d still kill for his missus though, trust me.  She used to work with my Mum before she even met him and one evening, whilst I was alone in the house, I heard a knock at the door and as I opened it there was possibly the most beautiful woman I''d ever seen smiling away.  She''d been round previously and left something.  I just gawped, let her in to retrieve said item, muttered something shyly and stared at her arse.  Then she left and went and met Fat Macca.  Life''s just not fair.....[:''(]
I went to school with her. Hot stuff...
 5.
Plastic? Who he then?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plastic_Bertrand
 6.
i guess it''s down to the club and bell now. but your right i do feel sorry for luton. however, the proposed 600k we where meant to sign him for was a bit ludacris considering luton posistion .. surely we should take full advantage of it ?
"just want to help you norwich fans"and now"the proposed 600k we were meant to sign him for"You''re not even clever enough to decide who you support, so why are you here pretending to know something about anything.Jog on.
 7.

he played 25 times for Lille last year and scored 13 goals, he plays up front on the left.
You sure? From what I can find he''s made 5 sub appearances for Lille and never scored...
He scored the goals in the B team.
Yep, and that team plays in the French 4th Tier.
 8.
Lille finished 7th in Ligue 1 (French top tier) last season.
Also, it should be made clear that his 13 goals in 25 games came for the ''B'' team, not their first team.
 9.
Not to sure... googled him but its all in french lol Another supprise is Robert Eagle and left back!
Bertrand isn''t allowed to play any pre-season games with us until after the U19s championship is over, I think. Drury has a bit of a knock.
 10.
Strikers, Ameobi i''d take and Rigters, get those two and i''d be very excited. We also need a centre half still so Taylor would be good, Bell also if need be just to add that extra depth... Taylor, Bell, Ameobi and Rigters and i''d be very excited.or Lupoli...
The best we can realistically hope for:NelsonGorkssBellRigtersLupoliBut we definitely won''t end up with that, so I guess it''s not realistic. If only for £20m...
 11. Newsflash, we''re in the same division as you... If he''ll never cut it at Wolves, why would he cut it here? We''re not an effing charity case, we don''t want your rejects.Thanks.
 12.
God, I do so hope not!.[:(]
Why not Wiz? Young player with potential... Would be behind Hoolahan in the queue for a left-wing berth... Think he''s a better option than any of Lappin, Eagle or Pattison (who are all relatively defensive players)
 13. http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&tt=url&intl=1&fr=bf-home&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.acffiorentina.it%2Fit%2FArticolo.aspx%3FCtn%3D290837&lp=it_en&btnTrUrl=TranslateIf that''s any help...?Basically it says the same thing as the setanta website... We''ve made an approach for a permanent transfer, they''d prefer a temporary move.
 14.

Sorry, as much as I''d like us to sign Rigters... I think it was probably Patrick Barul...
nope Barul was next to him.
Ok then, Korey Smith? Just strikes me as odd that we''d have a player jogging around in front of TV cameras who hasn''t signed for us, or been mentioned by the club as on trial.
 15. Sorry, as much as I''d like us to sign Rigters... I think it was probably Patrick Barul...
 16.

Just imagine if we signed Rigters, Sibierski and Evans (loan), with Jamie as the other option, that would be a potent list to choose our front line from. Im more worried about CB tbh, as there doesnt seem to be a lot of possible CB signings being banded about.
riggers £1.5m???sibs free - but same as above in wagesEvans -£0.5m season long signing fee.thats £3-4m without any centre backs???either roedy is ''happy with his £5-7m budget'' or instead he''s wheeling and dealing with a £3m budget are many of these targets are BS???
Rigters was linked with a £350k-£500k move earlier in the summer, doubt he''ll suddenly cost triple that...
 17.
pearce and gibbs??? part of the reason we free-falled early last spring...riggers - unconvinced he could fit into champs footy.sibbski - the later could do a job, wages a stumbling block, knows whats expected in english footy and i''d welcome the boy herebell - nah.tyson - don''t score enough for me, for someone who''s quick...wud prefer the leeds brickouthouse.
What a wonderfully positive outlook...
 18.
Before I start, bear with me as a first time poster. I''ve been browsing these forums for ages now without registering, so I know the suspicion that will arise with someone''s first post being about potential transfers. But trust me, I wouldn''t be so trivial as to make this up. I have reason to believe my source is reliable. What he says is: Rigters very close to signing on a permanent or loan with a view to permanent. Evans 50 - 50 to sign on loan. He wants to come back (and just to add myself, if the Cullum takeover does happen, I would assume he would be the first permanent on Roeder''s mind) Gibbs on loan again is almost definite, although that''s pretty obvious from what Roeder said this week. Pearce will be back on loan again, but only if we miss out on another unnamed centre half. Shackell will only be sold if 2 permanent centre halfs are brought in at a minimum. Sibierski working on fitness, then will sign on a free. There''s been a verbal agreement between him and Roeder. There is also interest in 2 other strikers, 1 an unnamed premiership player, the other Nathan Tyson. However, Tyson will only sign if either the Rigters or Sibierski deal falls through, as the premiership striker is more in the mold of a big target man.Bell is still a possibility. One other player he absolutely refused to name, but said we would be delighted with and would be the best signing since Huckerby. So there you go, flame away if you want, but he seemed to have a very in depth and precise knowledge as you can probably see. And I for one bloody hope he''s right!ps. Since this is my first post after being an observer for so long, could I just say, 1st Wizard, you could be the most irritating person on the internet. Ok, you have your own (warped) view of the club, that''s fair enough. But whenever people question it, you simply ignore them, coming out with another meaningless comment. Basically, you can''t justify your view, so you just avoid the questions with further attacks on the club and other members. And also, a ''!'' or ''?'' are used INSTEAD of a full stop, not with one!Rant over.
Nothing about Gow in there... I assume that one must have died a death. Would have thought that either Bell or Gibbs would be enough, not both (We''ve got a Worthy-esque "wealth of midfielders" already.)I can believe that Evans would like to come back on loan, but only if he''s been told that he won''t get a chance at Man City next season. Bertrand is back though (who he seemed to be quite chummy with) so that might help.Rigters is realistic if we can meet his wage demands (supposedly £20k a week for B''burn!). Personally I think he would be a force to be reckoned with at this level.Pearce seems unlikely, would have thought Reading would want to keep hold of him rather than loan him to a competitor. But as you say, we''re looking at other centre backs...Sibierski has been linked previously, and would add some much needed experience to the squad. Would be a good signing if he can get his fitness up to scratch (surprised he hasn''t been doing that with us at Colney under Alan Pearson''s supervision though!)Could the unnamed Centre Half be Nikolce Noveski?
 19.
Is £20 million one off, only, no more, not a penny, never nada, no more, etc etc...  really enough money to get us to the premiership and keep us there?I''m not convinced it is, it is about 1 - 2 million per player that we would need, ignoring wages, or alternatively 5 Shola Ameobi''sApparently Delia isn''t convinced
But bear in mind that £20m in one season is more than Delia and Co. have put in during their entire tenure.
 20.
Rigters to sign early next week with Rob Hulse following later in the week.
Well, let''s hope there''s an element of truth in this!
 21.

As I warned you all, take no notice of that fake reporter Camuldodiumthingy, who claims to support Colchester......
I''ve been called far worse things than a fake reporter Wiz but I think you''ll find the press conference duly took place at Colney at around 1 p.m. followed by the usual sound and telly interviews. I can''t imagine anyone claiming to support Colchester unless they did.
If I was a Col Who fan Camuldonum, I wouldn''t be racking up nearly 900 posts on a Norwich site!.[:|]
If I was a Norwich fan, I wouldn''t rack up 6,000 posts of bile, whinging and negativity combined with some irrational manlove for Jamie C.  But the beauty of the world is that it takes all sorts.
Haha, awesome post.
 22.
just seen a bloke in his mid 20s maybe up to 28 longish dark hair, not over tall 5ft 8 to 5ft 11 stocky build. Any ideas?
So what''s this chap doing at CR if he''s about to be unveiled at Colney in this press conference?
 23.
Having spent most of my working life as a professional in the world of finance, I have been able to view the ways in which a considerable number of rich people operate. Almost without exception, the priority is self-interest. This comment is not made as a criticism but we are deluding ourselves if we think that DS or PC are any different. Each party will be out for the very best deal they can get for themselves. The position of minority shareholders/supporters is practically irrelevant.
But the levels of self-interest and need for prudence on this sort of investment is vastly different between someone who is worth £1.7b and someone who is worth circa £30m...Cullum will stump up the cash, but it will be no more than he needs to pay (plus the £20m for transfers).
