Obviously there was the news about upgrades to the stadium and the training ground, just wondered whether they were enacting the plans on the below link, in particular, are they building the new first team block at the moment?

I know that many posters on here have certain axes to grind, so I shalln''t be getting to bogged down with regards to your comments on McNally - other than to say that I think many sensible people who refer to McNally in a similar manner to a deity, do so with the full understanding that he is not a dictator and that, in all reasonable likelihood, the successes we have enjoyed in the recent past have been down to him working alongside the board, the owners, and the other supporting staff to come to (in most cases) positive solutions to the pertinent issues of running a football club. He is given the majority of the praise due to being the most prominent figurehead of the leadership of our club and because he is the chief executive - I think that is a reasonably fair way to attribute credit.
In terms of the continuous comments that the TV money isn''t real profit and doesn''t distinguish us from other Premiership clubs, to an extent that is true. However, it seems to be equally continously overlooked that:
a) an element of the TV money is split out on the basis of where you finish in the league - so there is a differential there (albeit relatively minimal), and;
b) more importantly, football is a global game, there are other leagues which do not bring in as much money to their members by way of TV money. Our recruitment looks like it could be more "European" than ever before. Again, the TV money distinguishes us from clubs in other leagues because we can offer more money in wages than they can, and we can afford larger transfer fees than they can. Also, by the same token, the disparity in finances means that we will inevitably be able to get more player for our money as the years go by and the gap increases. Ok, so we''re in the same boat as numerous Premiership sides, but we are in a stronger position on a global basis than ever before.

It''s interesting that we can send people to watch players at any other Academy provided we give 48 hours notice. I think it''s pretty vital that we get moving on that as soon as possible, sweep through the lower category academies and scoop up as many talented youngsters as we can.
I believe that once a player is in a Category 1 academy, there is no set fee to poach them. As such, we need to act quickly to ensure that the best talent not already aligned to a Category 1 academy is spotted, and that we attempt to get them on board here.

Minor point, but it would be a little bit more scientific if you replaced the promoted/relegated teams in a more logical manner.
You''d expect the Championship winners to be the better of the promoted teams, and as such you''d use them to replace the top relegated side (i.e. the better of the relegated teams) and so on.
Therefore, Reading to replace Bolton, Southampton to replace Blackburn and West Ham to replace Wolves?

The real question is why he has decided to come on this forum to discuss it, when seemingly he hasn''t even posted about it on the LOSC forum that he uses.Surely his first port of call would be to discuss the validity of the rumour with his fellow LOSC fans, if he is as concerned about it as he makes out.Other than that slightly odd action I think it could have something in it. -

I know it''s only a very minor thing but every time last season you had to copy and paste the address over...
Like I said, a minor thing, but it frustrated me having to do it 23+ times throughout the course of the season.

One thing that really gets me about goalkeepers is this phrase "being proven at a certain level". In my opinion (and it may be wrong), at any level, a shot is a shot. Players at the professional level of the game are capable of finding the corners of the goal with a strike. With goalkeepers, again, in my opinion, it comes down to positioning, reflexes, bravery and agility. If a goalkeeper has those attributes he''s pretty well equipped to perform at any level. Sure, the higher the level you''re playing at the more likely a player is to attempt to dribble it round you, or perhaps attempt an unorthodox finish, but to most intents and purposes a shot remains a shot.
Fraser is an excellent shot-stopper. And on top of that, he''s a huge man, he fills the goal, but this doesn''t hinder his reflexes or agility. He can get to the corners of the goal, but he''s also brave and positions himself well in one-on-one situations. Sure, he''s not the finished article, there was obviously a question mark over his kicking, and his command of the penalty area sometimes was lacking, but overall I think he was absolutely superb for us. The number of one-on-one blocks and flying saves he pulled off was ridiculous. I remember one home game towards the tail end of the season he must have pulled off 3 one-on-one saves in one half in front of the Barclay. You can''t teach that, he just had the knack of getting himself in the right position to block the shot.
He''s 2 years older now, more experienced in big games and I think that £2m would be a great deal for us if it happened.
John Ruddy is a good goalkeeper, but I don''t think we can go into the season with just one fully-fledged senior keeper. I think Fraser is an excellent choice to add competition in that area of the pitch.

Just to add to that, if we acheive 1.64 points per game for the last 11 games of the season, one of Swindon, Charlton or Colchester will have to acheive 2.45 points per game in order to draw level with us on points (27 points from 11 games). Given our goal difference, it''s likely they''ll need 28 points so that''s 2.54 points per game.
