1.
If recent pics are anything to go by, he''s been working hard in the gym. Good luck to the lad, always gave 100% for us.
Anyone would think he is your mate Larry?
2. This is where I think Jonathan Spector would be a good signing. I imagine he would know Foxy from Man Utd youth days (maybe Fox is slightly older?), he''s got a few years Prem experience and he is on a free from West Ham. I''d say he would improve our squad (note I said squad and not team) by adding depth and experience to the back line. Not sure about wages, I guess that depends who else is in for him...
3.
Bad attitude and thug.... get rid if a reasonable offer comes in.
Unless you have met him and he has been a ''thug'' towards you (which I very much doubt), then thats a very shallow comment to make. Chris is a good lad and he will be ready to fight for his place next season.   He actually joked to me about being sent on loan to Barnsley so I wouldn''t be surprised if this rumour started from him saying the same to someone else and them taking it as gospel.
4. I believe pre-season training starts w/c 4th July, although I''m not sure if they are in the week before for their fitness tests
5. I think lambert likes young ish players (in their early/mid 20s) who have been given a good upbringing in the game but then dropped down the leagues. He seems to favour players who a) have graduated from big team acadamies (Fox - Man Utd, Crofts - Chelsea, Ruddy - Everton) and lost their way or dropped down a level to prove their worth. or b) have worked their way up through the leagues and have the talent and desire to play at a higher level (i.e. Russell Martin, Simeon Jackson) In my opinion, he wants players who are looking to prove a point and want to play for Norwich. Given that its a bit out of the way and hasn''t got the birght lights of most big cities I think he''s looking for players who are quite settled, often married with children, and want to further their career. I hope he can find the winners he is looking for!
6. After giving Francomb another year recently yes I''d expect Lambert also had meetings with other players out of contract. I''d expect Askou and Tudur Jones to be certainties to leave. Gill is a strange one as he''s always done ok when he''s come on (and in his loan spells too) and he is a great character and really popular with all the squad. I''m not saying we should keep him on for banter but he may stick around a bit longer until we have got someone else coming in for certain.
7. I''d like to see us go for Tom Cleverly of Wigan if they come down. Also Matty Phillips at Blackpool (who may have been with Lambert at Wycombe?) if they come down. Lower league wise I''d be looking at possibly making a move for Mcgugan at Forest too, although I''m not sure of his personality, as I don''t really know enough about him. Striker wise you would have to say one of either Long, Graham or maybe even Maynard would be the most realistic (i.e £2m-£3m price tag and should fit within our wage structure). We will need defensive cover and this is the area that I think PL will look for some Premiership experience, a ''leader at the back'' type player. Although if he does go to the lower leagues I think Ryan Bennett at Peterborough matches the young, hungry specifics that PL looks for, I think hes had a good season for them too.
8. After recently dropping the Copa Del Rey off a bus in Spain, its been rumoured that Sergio Ramos is close to signing for Ipswich Town. At least he won''t have the same problems there...
9. Police in Liverpool have arrested 3 of 4 well known Islamic terrorists - Bin Snortin, Bin Dealin and Bin Theivin. Unfortunately there was no sign of the last one - Bin Workin.
10. Agree with it in the main. I would add that another bad point is the effect it had on our goal difference - technically a 6 goal swing in their favour which could be crucial come the end of the season. Just imagine how gutted we would be to end up in the play offs instead of the autos by a goal or two! I think we have to be positive, we are still 2nd, still a point ahead and in true Norwich style it is in our hands. With Lambert in gthe driving seat and players like Holty on the pitch I have a feeling we have the right mentality to pick ourselves up and get 3 points at Watford on Tuesday.
11. I know when he is aiming to be back but I''m not going to post it on here in case Swansea see it, happy to PM people if you''re nosey
12. Scoring late goals. The teams ''never say die'' attitude that has won us games that we could (and probably would have in the past) drawn. The belief of the plays - instilled no doubt by the management team - is great at the moment and having players like Holt lead the line and put in a massive ''captain''s performance'' every week is great to watch.
13. I''m with GP on this one, we could debate it all day, but ultimately no one knows about Lambert''s transfer plans except him and probably his close staff. Lambert always says he wants to strengthen, any manager would be looking to add players if they had funds, the difference with our manager is that he seems far more calculated and bases his decision on personality as well as talent.
14. How can people comment on his attitude when they don''t know him? lembert obviously judges him as a good character becasue he has always said he is looking for hungry players. He has had enough chances to dicth Chris if he didn''t like him. It''s not all about goals, but Chris is in line with other players like Iwan Roberts who has legendary status for City, at 22 years old thats not a bad position to be in.
15.   Lambert has been trying to sign a better striker than Chris, which is why I think he may be struggling. The fact he was reported to be in for Robbie Blake tells you that there just isn’t top quality goalscorers available at the moment. From what I saw of the lad from Peterborough last night I’d have Chris over him all day. He brings a lot more to the team than goals, his hold up play and understanding with Wes and Holty is top notch and I think you can see that they enjoy playing together.     Lambert described him as the best finisher at the club, if he doesn’t trust his players then who will? I’d rather have Lambert’s opinion bearing in mind he sees the boys train everyday. If Chris can make an impact in his first game back he will be like a new signing and he could really make an impact (in my opinion!).
16. Should be back fit for the Scunthorpe game, so we may ''go with what we have got''. Nice to see the team getting a well deserved break in Portugal too, bit of golf and team bonding, hopefully keeping them focused on the job ahead! OTBC
17. Some good points. the main reson behind my OP was that I do think we need a little bit of a boost from somewhere, which again may not be available on the loan market.   I guess the main one I was refferring to (and I assume Lambert was too) was Robbie Blake. Most of the footballers I know absolutely hate not playing, so I can''t see why a Premiership player would be any different. At the end of the day they get the same wage if they are on loan and they don''t have to commit to any more than a month away (to see how it goes). I know travelling to and from Norwich is a pain, but players like Holty still go home quite regularly so we can''t really use the location excuse in every case.   On another note, I''ve heard C.Martin''s injury recovery is going well and he maybe back sooner than expected, Scunthorpe game at the earliest.
18. I know the location of our club has always been an issue, but why don''t players want to come here on loan? Surely most can see that the team is playing good football, winning games and confidence is high. Why wouldn''t a player want to join a good team with a very realistic chance of promotion? If nothing else, you''d think they would look at our gaffa and say he must be doing something right, plus the other loan players like Lansbury and say if he is enjoying it (which he seems to be), then it must be a good place to go and play football? I for one hope that it''s Lambert''s decision and not that players are turning us down.
19. Yes I heard its made by Errea too, from one of the players. He said the quality of their clothing is expected to be much better than Xara (which most of the players don''t particularly like)
20.

Chris is out for 6-8 weeks, making good progress but still doing strengthening work. It''s his right leg so needs to make sure he doesn''t rush back. Still 5-6 weeks away from being fully fit I should think.
lol why does it make a difference if it''s his right leg?
Because he uses it more regularly to kick the football....

22.
Highly likely we will see one more signing, I would like a proven striker but being realistic I think it could be a right sided midfielder or Lansbury for the season
I don''t think he would count extending Lansbury''s loan as a ''signing''. I think it will be a fresh face.
23. Hopefully he is bringing another striker in and wants Oli to impress for a month and then stay there for the rest of the season as part of his development. Playing regularly will help his game so much more than just training with us.
24. My guess would be a loan with a view to a permenant move in the summer. Somewhere up north or in Scotland, obviously, if he goes back up to the SPL I doubt we''d get much of a fee for him, if any at all.
