1. I''m gutted for him. He''s a good guy and he''s clearly been set up. This kind of banter goes on in every studio across every channel. You could find video''s of every presenter out there. The stuff about the lino was recorded on a talk back mic which are never recorded. - seems to me that someone might have been told to record it. Just my opinion. What he said was wrong but he''s not being serious. All of them say the same. Only last week before all this happened I was with a high profile player who was saying worse about women in football. It was off the record but it goes to show... it''s just banter. This person is one of many to have come out since the sound bite was released saying it was terrible for Gray to say what he did. I guess it will be a lesson for them all that you sound never say anything like that when mics are around.
2. It''d make no sense to move. We have great transport links to the ground for away fans (Norwich railway station) We have decent space for parking. It''s walking distance into town... We''d never look to have a capacity over 50,000 (not in our lifetime anyway!) - It would make sense to rebuild parts of the current stadium bit by bit. We can''t afford to move all out and also don''t have the need to either. The funny thing is, IF we had to move, we''d be probably looking at a Brownfield site... like the one next to the ground! The ground would probably still be on Carrow Road!Like I said previously - If we were in that position to heavily increase the capacity - you''d look at one of the stands and possibly - if possible, to get rid of the hotel and fill in that corner and then build the hotel at the back of it or just down the road.
3.
Move.Carrow Rd is great, but if the club could move to a bigger capacity and generate more money for itself it has to be a no brainer.
The good thing about Carrow Road is that we don''t need to move. Our ground can be increased to 40,000. It''d be cheaper to do this than move. Personally I think it is a bad move for both Spurs and West Ham. Spurs should always be in North London and West Ham playing their home games with a running track around it? No thanks. I think after the Olympics, the Olympic stadium has the very real potential to be a dirty smudge in London. Seb Coe made a mistake by making the promises he made. No matter how good the Olympics is, people are not going to start attending athletics events as the truth is, it''s quite boring. The stadium will never even be half full on an athletics event after the Olympics. If anything, the Hammers should have the stadium but with the track, or better still, Orient should have it. I''m glad Norwich look likely to stay at Carrow Road for years to come. It''s one of the better stadiums in the football league and has the potential to increase it''s capacity.  My only issue is the hotel. It''d be great if one day Norwich had the money to knock it down and fill in that corner.
4. Millwall might have an issue though if the player is keen on a move away. He has a a small agent so no doubt he is keen to move his prized asset on. I think that Lambert will sign two players before the window closes. I firmly believe that one will be a striker of considerable talent. Morison might interest QPR - I know for a fact that Warnock is looking to bring in four new players and two by Friday. With Mackie out he''ll look to replace him as well as add a bit more to help keep them at the top.
5. It depends on the fracture. It can take at least a month. I broke mine in a challenge with a striker and it took just over a month to feel comfortable. I had a feeling all was not well with Smith - I think it''s a good piece of business bringing in Tierney - I like him - He''s full blooded and a born winner. Good competition for Drury. Interested to see who the new player is. I''d like to see a new striker come in - that is if we can keep Lansbury here for the season.
6. Surely you''re living the dream?! - After a while though I know it can get a bit tiresome staying in hotels... It can get a bit boring. I''d say you''re on a pretty sweet deal though!
7. well if it happens I wonder if it means Smith is on the way out - or his injury is a lot worse than first thought? having 3 fit senior pros at left back seems a little much... especially as Lappin can do a turn there. Maybe his wages etc... are low and he''s worth going for. Rudd at Peterborough would be good to see... Not sure if they''d take on Steer just yet... Steer might get a call from Crewe if they lose one of their keepers. (looks like they will)
8. haha - are you a journalist? It''s not all good fun (it is generally!) ...there can be a lot of waiting around... Fraudley kept me waiting FIVE hours for a ten min interview before his ''fight''No jobs as such - there is an intern position coming up I believe... not sure of the details... don''t think it is paid.
9.

But its things like this that in general cast the media in just as bad a light. I mean the whole thing was blown out of control by the media in the first place. And just adds more weight to the fact that most sectors of the media has lost it''s way, making fact out of assumption. If someone has a contact that is to be trusted that has said that something like this has happened the reporter in question would be far better of pursuing the facts to get a ''big'' story than to just stir up rubbish. For example we already had a statement from the club and we have had another since. If there is a story here it is the possibility to expose ''tapping up'' and report it to the club. In your response you state that it is how football works now, agents are always touting even though technically they shouldn''t be. Expose them, that will make headlines. Expose football for the corrupt world it is and do what the media is meant to do. Inform the world of facts, help society to uncover the truth and to fight corruption and to stand for justice. I couldn''t give a monkeys about so called celebs getting divorced, dumped or married or stories about what someone may or may not have done in terms of rumours like this.
Did the media blow it out of proportion or was it the fans? Most reports I read (on the BBC and Sky) played the whole thing down, with Lambert''s 9am press conference appearing to deny a move. It was countless posts on here and people on Twitter bigging the whole thing up, reading far more into the situation than was warrented.   I can''t remember seeing any media reports that Lambert had quit, but did see that on here. Someone even made a Delia Twitter account up and posted that she had sacked Lambert. The media said "Burnley want Lambert" then "Lambert says he is happy at Norwich" then nothing until 9pm with "Lambert commits to Norwich".
The fans blew it out of proportion - of course we did... I include myself... I am a journalist but that doesn''t mean I am not a fan... I even had a semi sleepless night when i heard about the approach!
10. Fact is - I don''t work for a mag that would be interested in this story. Also the thing is with sources... you should never give them up - you just don''t do it. I made the silly mistake of sharing what I heard with you guys as I don''t have many NCFC supporting pals! I see all the above points though and won''t ''stir'' in the futureto your point above though... it is far easier said than done. All I can do is spread the Norwich love - trust me... i''m doing my best... Zoo has had quite a few little Norwich bits in there recently... not too much... but just you wait until when they''re back in the Prem... I can''t promise a Grant Holt booby cover shoot... i''ll put the request in though!
11. He''s still here and that''s what counts. I just (at the time) thought some might find it interesting to know. - I don''t often post anymore - but I do look to see what snippets people have put on here... some I believe - many I don''t - I always like reading them though as it''s interesting.  As I think someone rightly pointed out - this kind of thing goes on all the time in football. In many cases it''s how deals are done. There is very little loyalty in football. Agents don''t just sit around in waiting rooms waiting for a deal to be done do they - Of course not. The main thing is - whatever happened or didn''t happen - he''s still at Norwich and fully focused on getting Norwich to the Premier League - I''m as delighted as any of you on here.
12. very true. I have no contacts with NCFC btw. I was just interested in what I was told and posted without thinking... silly thing to do and I certainly regret posting it. I won''t do it again that''s for sure!
13.
"I''ve just heard that Lambert and/or representative ...." What a load of old bollox ! You don''t even know if it was Lambert or ''his representative'', what kind of information is that ? Absolute nonsense posted up by another serial fantasist. Of course contact is made between clubs, players, managers, agents, etc, it goes on all the time - that is a given. However that is not what this smear is about though. It is a claim that - Paul Lambert, manager of Norwich City FC has either lied to the club and the fans or - has told the Norwich City FC that he met someone from Burnley FC to discuss breaking his contract with Norwich City FC and subsequently McNally has lied to the media and fans to cover up that meeting. So ''chirp'' (or whoever you really are) why not put your money where your mouth is and go public ? Make your statement that either Lambert or McNally has lied. Put it out in the open, put your real name to it and lets see who is really lying. If you and your source are correct then you will be doing us all a service by revealing that those who run the club have lied over this matter and that the minutes of any board meetings after this alleged ''meeting'' are false documents - the legal implications of that would be far reaching. As you are so certain (as are one or two others) lets see you back your claims). After all, if you are correct what have you got to lose ?
Ouch! All that I said was all made up fantasy. I''m sorry I just couldn''t help myself. Hopefully this will make you happy. Jas -  I''ve put my head against the fist so hopefully you''ll feel a whole lot happier about all of this too! I''ll keep this stuff to just a couple of you on here in the future. That way you won''t have to read my fantasies!
14. Haha okay. - I''ll choose more carefully what i tell you guys in the future - i''ll keep it to only things you want to hear. Apologies. :-)
15. Some of you won''t like this and it is just a rumour... but it''s from a fairly solid source. I''ve just heard that Lambert and/or representative had been up to meet Burnley before the approach was made. If this did happen - it perhaps explains a few things. True or not - Thankfully he decided to stay and that''s what counts.
16. Just had it confirmed to me that Eddie Howe is the latest manager to turn down Burnley. He was however at Charlton until the early hours of this morning for those who like a bet. Quality boss - If Lambert had gone - He''d have been my top choice.
17. Hi all, I''m writing a feature for ZOO on misbehaving mascots and was wondering if any of ours have been in trouble? Answers on a postcard (pref on here actually as I need replies asap) please. James
18. I''ve been told by someone very much in the know that Zak was told if he wishes to find himself a new club he may do so.  I was told this over a month ago - If true I would speculate that it was because Lambert knew he wanted to sign Barnett and has to make a bit of room.
19. Darren, at this moment in time I would say a Q&A with Robert Green would be very interesting.  He''s not really spoken to the press since the WC... It would be excellent to hear from him now... His thoughts on the press, the youngsters at Norwich (Rudd, Steer, Matthews, Gunn) and his time at Norwich.
20.
I know this has been a hot topic lately but I feel that Chrissy just isn''t good enough at the minute. You look at our squad and how we play and no one can deny we are a strong team playing good football, but the strikers aren''t scoring. Denfensively (sp) we are boasting such players as Barnett, Ruddy and Martin etc. Our midfield is also full of quality players in Hoolahan, Crofts, Korey, Lappin, Fox, Macca and Surman but up front I feel we are just lacking. Fair enough Holt isn''t fit and Jackson & Oli haven''t been given a chance but what''s Chrissy''s excuse? 1 goal in 8 games is pretty poor and it''s not like he is making up for it in other aspects like Holt is. You can hit the woodwork as many times as you like with free kicks but they don''t mean anything. I think if we drop him for Jackson tuesday it could spark him back into last season''s form and give him a good kick in the back side. I understand he is never going to be everywhere like Holt but at least last year he had the skill and clinical finishing. Yesterday we might as well have played with 10 men. His only contribution was a a one on one with the keeper which Cureton would have scored. Please don''t see this as an attack on Chrissy as I am just expressing my opinion and hope he gets better and proves me wrong.
The problem (if you want tofind one... which most of you do) is Holt not Martin. I haven''t messaged for a while but some of the stuff on here about Martin is b/s. Any coach will tell you that for two centre forwards to work well they need to play off each other/near each other. Holt has been all over the pitch and not keeping position. By doing that, any knock down he gets goes to no one... when we have the ball in an attacking position he isn''t in the box. This then puts pressure on the whole team and makes us drop deep. All this rubbish (and it is rubbish btw) about freekicks, We went for about 6 seasons without scoring a freekick - now we have someone who has scored quite a few from deadball and a lot of you want him off the ball... Yes Fox and Surman are great options on that front...but if they''re not on the pitch it makes that option void.  On to the Cureton point... So he have scored that one on one? are you sure? That again is VERY questionable.  Have faith in Martin... 1 in eight... it''s 3 in 9 in all apps... every striker misses a sitter or a one on one... he''s young and will go through spells with no goals... equally he''ll go through a rich spell as well... ( He''ll still be called lazy thoguh by people on here...) Holt is 2 in 8 in the league and he was our top league scorer last season... If you boys want someone to blame (you clearly need someone as per usual) i''d look at Holt''s stat... it''s a lot more of a concern... as is his overall performance. You lot need to realise... we are going to lose some games of football that we should have won... that''s life. The way we are set up, we are often going to batter teams... more often than not we''ll win... but sometimes you get a day where nothing goes in and the other team nick it. Saturday was one of those days so suck it up and do something crazy... Back the team.
21.

Personally I would have looked no further than Neal Trotman at Preston. Seen him a few times and have been in owe of his ability. No idea why he''s been listed at Preston. I think they''ll regret getting rid in the future. He''d be a fantastic signing.
Trotman is dreadful as his loan spells at Soton & Huddersfield proved, was a liability even at League 1 level.
I beg to differ. Funny how one person can see a player one way and another person can have a polar opposite opinion. I think Trotman will prove to be a very good player in the future.
22. Leon is one of those players who made the move to the Prem too early. He still has bags of ability so could be a good signing. Personally I would have looked no further than Neal Trotman at Preston. Seen him a few times and have been in owe of his ability. No idea why he''s been listed at Preston. I think they''ll regret getting rid in the future. He''d be a fantastic signing. Having said that - If Barnett gets into form he''s the type of player Lambert might beg the board to keep when the Jan transfer window opens.
23. he''s not trained with watford... I think you''ll find him on the bench tonight. Hopefully by the time he comes on they''re 2 nil down.
24. I guess it maybe makes sense to do it in Sept when Lambert has everybody in and anyone who is to leave - out. I am sure it''s the norm to do it by now though... not that anything has been ''the norm'' since McNally and Pauline came aboard!
