things were NEVER this bad under Chase

Whats needed is good players , you can change the backroom staff as much as you like but if you put out 11 sub standard players every matchday your not going to improve. -

Where did our parachute money go would be a good starting point ,Doncaster told us we cannot compete with teams who have these payments , yet who did we sign the 2 seasons we had them ? players like Louis Jean and Pete Thorne .This Board appears to be rotten to the core. -

Another old timer , isnt that why we shipped out Huckerby , if we are building for the future lets do it not fill the team with pensioners. -

The light will dawn when the freebies start rolling up , no things were never this bad under Chase , but while Delia remains a female and celebrity to boot people will deny the truth. -
Charlton to make first Hoolahan bid
CanaryOne replied to CanaryOne's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
CHARLTON are set to be the first club to make a move for Blackpool''s Wes Hoolahan. The Addicks have been linked with the winger for the past six months but reports in south London suggest manager Alan Pardew is gearing up for an official bid. Hoolahan''s Seasiders deal has a season to run but he has a release clause in his contract. The club has no wish to see him leave but the Irishman is understood to want a new challenge away from Bloomfield Road. He has been linked with at least 10 Championship clubs but Charlton look set to be the first to test the water. Pool also have continuing worries about centre-back Kaspars Gorkss, who has the same release clause. Burnley look likely to come in with an offer for the Latvian, which could prompt a bidding war. Gorkss has also been linked with Crystal Palace, Watford, Preston and Leeds. If Simon Grayson is worried by the prospect of losing two of his best players, he isn''t showing it. However, the manager admits he has drawn up contingency plans in the event of either or both leaving. Paid "We have to make sure we are prepared for one or two players going," conceded Grayson. "You have to be aware that the players mentioned, and others who have attracted interest, could leave the club. "We don''t want them to leave, but we have to make sure we have players who are available to replace them if they do. "But that''s a big ''if'' at the moment. "Wes and Kaspars are still under contract and are still getting paid by this club but you can''t stop speculation." Grayson is due to meet Andy Morrell and Claus Jorgensen in the next 48 hours and hopes to find out whether they wish to sign new deals at Bloomfield Road. Added Grayson: "Claus has been away for a couple of weeks but I''m pretty relaxed about it. "It''s the same with Andy. We had a chat and we''ve left it with him. Things will evolve over the next few days. "I''d like to get one or two things put to bed, but it''s the time of year when everybody is keeping their options open and so it''s not always easy to get thing resolved quickly." Pool are believed to be interested in season-long loan deals for Liverpool keeper David Martin and his brother, Tottenham midfielder Joe. Dundee United striker Noel Hunt and Bury frontman Andy Bishop remain on the shopping list, while a quality midfielder is also a priority. Charlton to make first Hoolahan bid
CanaryOne replied to CanaryOne's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No it says there is a release clause but although there have been plenty of interest no firm bids yet , but Charlton are about to make one. -
According to the Blackpool Gazzette , so it seems we have not even made a bid yet , so much for him being one we already had in the bag .

Is Roeder going to sell........
CanaryOne replied to colneycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Russell was getting dropped at the end of the season , hardly a sign the manager rates you is it . -
WTF......Huckerby to Southend?
CanaryOne replied to Tom NCFC's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Why not , Huckerby needs a club , and one not coming up against Norwich so if he does not go to America it would have to be league 1. -
Is Roeder going to sell........
CanaryOne replied to colneycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Hope so , nobody we have in our squad at this time is good enough to challenge at the top of this division , all need replacing with maybe Marshall the exception . -
I very much doubt it myself .
-
Have to agree , on his performances in the semi and final he looked useless.
-
Barry Fry reckons £4 million so i doubt we will ever see Joe Lewis back at Norwich .
-
Old First Division ,F.A Cup and UEFA Cup , all a long time ago now thankfully .

Matty Etherington v Darren Huckerby
CanaryOne replied to Danny G's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
All is not well with Etherington right now and thats why West Ham are looking to offload a player who signed a 4 year contract in January. -
Would rather he had left , another very very average player in the team for next season .
-
He talks a good signing , so far all he has bagged is Matty Pattison , im expecting the presents he said were coming and they had better be better than Bell from Luton.

Martin Taylor in talks with city
CanaryOne replied to ncfclad's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We need 2 new strikers as a minimum , we dont have one at the club at the moment unless you count Cureton and Martin , and they would be hard pushed to succeed at a lower level . -
Cannot see this being true in any way shape or form , why go through all the fuss of letting him go just to offer him a pay as you play contract a week or so later .Were we to offer such a contract now it would be seen as desperation on Roeders behalf because he cannot land his targets. We released the best player in our squad im afraid, and now we have to live with it.

Martin Taylor in talks with city
CanaryOne replied to ncfclad's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yes the moaners will only need another 6 or 7 quality signings then we may have a team worthy of the club , i wont be holding my breath though . -
Where do we fix first?
CanaryOne replied to Citizen Journalist Foghorn's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
2 x new strikers 2 x central defenders 1 x creative midfielder , that would be a good place to start .
