  1. To go along with the current Premiership teams you''ve mentioned as to who may struggle, enter Portsmouth, Fulham and Charlton. I can see all 3 struggling next season, unless they strengthen their squads. But I wouldn''t take Blackburn lightly, as they''ll have Barry Ferguson and David Thompson back fully fit, two quality midfielders. But the others are all very beatable sides.
  2. I think that getting the strikers in now IS the best idea coz u have to score goals to go up. Half way through the season and we have got one of the best defence records in the league but we are trailing behind a bit on the scoring side behind the likes of Sheff Utd, Ipswich and Cardiff who have got the options up front. West Ham and Sunderland are a big disappointment 4 me as a neutral but as a Canary it''s GREAT!
  3. Your best bet mate is to get an 8 games season ticket in the South Stand so you would be on top of the list to get a full season ticket 4 the following season.
  4. You''ve got to look at the situation in different ways. On one hand Hucks has been down here 4 3 months now and you would have thought he would be happy to stay. But on the other hand football is his job so like anybody you would want to earn as much as possible. Looking at the other teams involved (WBA, West Ham, Wigan, Sheff Utd etc) really they would all be able to offer a wage to him better than Norwich could! First I would rule out Wigan coz they''re obviously not going to go up and their not a big club. West Ham aren''t doing so well in the league, and Sheff Utd aren''t the most consistant team. If he wanted to play in the premiership then his best bet would be WBA. So I think it is out of WBA and Norwich who gets Hucks.
  5. Thats coz Villa wanted in the millions for Crouch and he''s not worth that much in Norwich''s eyes. Plus his wages would put a big strain on the wage structure.
  6. Well Defoe is obviously on his way in January, and Mellor is only on loan. That just leaves them with Harewood, Connolly and Deane. I can''t see Huckerby wanting to go there anyway.
  7. Well it certainly isn''t on Sky Sports, but there are highlights on ITV at 2pm.
  8. He got a hat trick on Saturday against Cambridge, his third treble of the season, and all his goals were from 2 yards out. He appears to be a real goal-poacher, someone who finds himself in the right position at the right time. If the price is right, then I reckon he''s worth a try.
  9. If City are looking for a replacement striker once Huckerby has departed, how about Clinton Morrison? He seems to be behind Forssell, Dugarry and Stern John at the moment. Or how about raiding Manchester again but this time bringing in Jon Macken, a proven goalscorer at first division level. These options seem better than doing another ''Elvis'' and bringing in a player who hasn''t scored goals in a first team. Nick Chadwick, as promising as he may be, hasn''t had enough first team football to warrant playing for a first division club with so much to play for. I don''t think a young lad like that should have that extra pressure.
  10. Managing Northern Ireland would be a waste of time. They can''t even score a goal against teams like Armenia, so they''re not going to have enough quality to qualify for a major Championship any time soon. They''re just European minnows who are in the qualifying stages purely to make up the numbers. Norwich are a team going places, will be challenging for a top 6 spot come May, and may even be playing Premiership football soon. Hard choice.......
  11. Yes, you are right. Spurs signed Italian centre back Paolo Tramezzani from Piacenza in July 1998 for £1.35m. He flopped in English football and was sold back to Italy to Pistoiese for a cut-price £400,000. Knowledge is the bomb, and I thank you..... :o)
  12. Some people on here don''t seem to know too much about Kevin Harper. He''s a good player and will be a decent addition to the City squad. If his loan spell is a success, which I expect it will be, then City might be able to buy him permanently. The only reason he''s not in the Portsmouth team is because Patrik Berger has taken his place. Otherwise he''d probably be a regular Pompey player.
  13. I reckon City should loan Jarvis to a Division 2 team or something. It did a world of good to people like Jermaine Defoe, giving them heaps of confidence and chance to prove just how good they are when playing week in week out in a competitive league.
  14. He is apparently a really decent player. Blackburn and a few other Premiership clubs were interested last season. I think he plays on the left.
