1.
with all this nostalgic looking back at trashing pubs and putting the boot in  and exagerrated stories of running this firm and that firm  just wondered what everyones favourite hooligan movie is ?  i didn`t mind green street , thought football factory was terrible, haven`t seen cass yet  , the firm was alright. for me the best one has to be  ID  from the mid 90s with reece dinsdale ,warren clarke, and sean pertwee , a classic.
Here here, "F*&$in'' love you do Gumbo!"
2. Stelling was hilarious on Saturday when he bagged his brace.......
3.
Not to mention the compliment/complement disaster or the rein/reign fiasco, or the belief that a light year is a measurement of time…
Another one that grinds my gears is the ''your/you''re'' and ''there/their''!
4.
To the poster who misses phone calls, I agree to an extent. I would go one further though, and say what ever happened to actually meeting up with people face to face. ''It''s good to talk'' apparently...does it have to be on the phone?
More often that not as he lives in Newcastle and I don''t.
5.

I''ve got alot of love for a well rounded debate on here. How long it will stay that way thought one wonders? Tis the school holidays after all? Ok, so another gripe of mine to add to the ''Death of'', is the death of the phone conversation. Nothing (other than textspeak) could annoy me more than when you call a friend & it goes straight to voicemail and yet seconds after you''ve put the phone down you receive a text message from that person saying something like ''Wht U wnt''  (See what I did there!!!!). Why not call me back. I don''t want to spend the next 15 minutes having a conversation via text messages when I can have the same conversation in 3 minutes over the phone for half the cost! I''m feeling really ranty tonight.
''A lot'' should be two separate words. ''Well rounded'' would be better hyphenated, as it''s a compound adjective. Of course you meant ''though'' instead of ''thought'', and personally I''d have encased ''though'' with commas to aid clarity. Finally, ''Tis'' should be preceded by an apostrophe, as technically it''s an abbrevation of ''it is''. My point here is not to belittle you at all, but merely to make people realise how much effort is involved in editing copy from people with a poorer grasp of the language. Your English is clearly excellent in general, but it is incredibly difficult to get it right all the time, so we shouldn''t be too pedantic with our esteemed fellow posters. By the way, I fully expect to get flamed the next time I make an axy-dental mistake. It doesn''t happen often; when it does, my mates always rinse me for it!
Brilliant! I am actually laughing ''out loud'' (as opposed to what? Laughing in silence?). A damning assessment but a fair one! PS - I''m so glad you put ''by the way'' as opposed to ''btw''.
6. I also realise I''m missing a few question marks within that last post but the rant just took over me!

8. Ding dong the herts is dead (well, not physically, but messageboard-wise!), Anyways, DING DONG..............................
9. I''ve even told my old man off for sending text messages to me in textspeak. He''s old enough to know better. Hahaha
10. *Meant to say ''full, well'' Damn no edit button!
11.
They used to stress the 3 ''R''s in school, reading writing and arithmatic.  Since the last 2 don''t even begin with ''R'', I used to joke that they needed to add a 4th ''R'' - Spelling.
Brilliant. I did laugh at that! nb: I didn''t ''lol''. I laughed. Textspeak is another curse that is creeping into the English language. Christ, I worked in a mobile phone retailer for 3 years & didn''t understand what 95% of it means. Ah well, the ''yoooof'' of today I suppose....... Oh & I''m only 27 & some of my friends mock my text messages for having full well articulated sentences in them rather than a batch of randomnly mixed up letters. So LOL, TB, LMAO & various other things. I''ll get down from my horse that isn''t very close to the ground.
12.
How many times has this debate gone on? It''s getting pretty daft now. I simply don''t see what anyone has against either the loan system or Roeder''s extensive use of it. People seem to think we are this big club able to attract and pay decent transfer fees and wages. We''re not - and like it or not, we have to use all the sources available to us to build a squad capable of achieveing progress. We needed a lot of players this close season - thankfully, Roeder has gone out and brought those players in. By utilising the loan system as we have, we''ve not only added a number of undoubtably quality loanees to the squad , but have clearly prevented the budget we did have for permenant additions from being watered down yet further. Turning to the loanees themselves, I''m not entirely sure why anyone would want to argue with the loanees signed. Bertand, Omozusi and Kennedy are quality players. Lupoli and OJ I''ll wait to see more of, but they come highly recommended by two of the Premiership''s best managers and this young lad from Spurs is signing only to cover the Doc. He''ll add further competition, which is something the same people that complain about the loan signings have previously complained we haven''t had for ages. And that''s the crux of it, isn''t it? For the first time, we have competition. Regardless of where they come from or how long they''re here for, I''d rather have competition for places from players that go back at the season''s end than a paper thin squad that we end up playing players out of position due to injuries.
Well put Marshmallow. Hopefully that''ll draw the line under this debate. Whether you like the loan system or not, it''s here & I''m gonna guess it ain''t going anywhere. OTBC! Roll on Saturday!
13. Don''t know why but I''ve got an inkling towards Paul Jewell. Not sure why but just not overly impressed with how he''s handled things since he took over at Derby. In an ideal world, Jim Magilton!
14. Don''t know if it''s just the way the Aviva logo curves but don''t all the players on the middle row look like they''re in need of doing some serious work on the treadmill! Some podgy midsections there methinks?
15. Nevermind enough cheese in the sandwich. I think your brain doesn''t have enough cells to formulate a sensible opinion. And for that reason. I''m out.
16. If I''ve got time to spare, a few pints in the Castlegate''s never goes a miss. If I''m rushed or need a pint on the way to the ground from there, a quick pint in Nor Blue never goes amiss. It''s not ridiculously rammed (well, compared to Lloyds/Iceni/Whatever it''s called now!)
17. Hahaha, I love it how easy it is to generally go off topic (well, let''s be honest, hardly a belter was it!) Gotta love the randomness
18. It''s a pre-season friendly. A 5-1 loss always hurts but I''ll be over it tomorrow morning as the match was of no significance to the forthcoming season. Although I am not surprised how some of the posters are reacting after tonights game. Any excuse to go nuts I suppose......
19.
disgusting im telling mum
I wouldn''t I''d tell Dad instead, he''d really get mad.
20. Don''t get me wrong, since the forums have been unmoderated, threads with ridiculous obscenities get through. Don''t get me wrong, I swear like a trooper, but time & a place.
21. Ha, I love how according to our official website, we''ve got Arturo Lupoli on loan from Fiotina. Brilliant. I think I may start believing rumours from now on & not trust the official website so much!
22. Love your optimism........... Comedy as it is. Although as someone else said he''s taking his coaching badges back in Holland I believe & may have even already linked up with Ajax
23.
did Socrates fight for freedom of speech ? Unless your talking about the Brazillian footballer who wore a black headband in protest at his government during the 82 world cup then I think you might be confused.
I struggle through on a daily basis confused as hell!!!! hahaha, well, when I''m trying to understand some of the ''yoooof'' speak on here!
24. Exactly my thought. Although for the benefit of SWIW, let me explain my thought process last night....... "Bloody hell, same ol'' news again. Bored" "I''ve as much right as anyone to view my opinions on here" "Oh damn, I''m an arse, that was a bit uncalled for" I believe you may very well be wading in for no reason. See the post from big s accepting my apology.
25. Couldn''t have put it better if I tried Marty. Spot on. But then we must remember it is the school holidays!
