  1. I went to Cambridge City and saw former Norwich boy Danny Kelly score 3!
  2. Does anyone know the team for tonights fixture please
  3. I saw him several times playing for the reserves. A good versatile player who worked hard whether up front or in defence- scored a few goals - Wish him all the best at his new club where I''m sure he''ll be given the opportunity to fulfil his potential. With all the talk about the England players playing out of position - I wonder if it does any player any good when he is regularly asked to play out of his natural position?
  4. I don''t see how you can say that it''s all about physical presence together with footballing ability. IMO both Daley and Adeyemi don''t have much going for them on the physical side and possibly, giving them pros but releasing the likes of Lathorpe and kelly was a bit premature. The two lads released must have had potential to be given pros in the first place and have maybe not been given the opportunity to prove themselves. Both the lads have served the reserves well, the last game I saw at Carrow Road, kelly was in defence, then up front, then back in defence and seemed to adapt to both positions well - a utility player who may have had a future at city if they had missed out on promotion. Lathorpe got his tackles in and seemed strong in challenges - I wish them both a lot of luck in finding another club
  5. What about Dario Dumic and Danny Kelly. They are young pros come thro the youth system - isn''t Kelly irish international in that position for under 19 and Dario also an international. Shouldn''t they be given a chance rather than sign from somewhere else.
  6. How can you say that this young side let the club down. Shame on you! They would have worked their socks off - under difficult conditions and after an awful lot of travelling. Every encouragement should be given to these lads and "fans" who think along the lines of Rocky marshall are obviously only "fair weather" fans who only support their club when things are going OK - such a pathetic post
  7. Considering the earlier posts about no substitute defenders at the Leeds game, how did the defenders do today in the reserves - are any of them worth a look at as possible cover
  8. How encouraging and refreshing to see defenders bring the ball out and distribute the ball instead of just lumping it up field. I thought Dumic and Kelly looked more than capable and had a good game. Tactically, Dawkins should have stayed on the wing and serviced the strikers especially when Kelly was moved up front (allbeit a bit late in the day)as a target man for two quite small strikers. Didn''t think Cureton showed his experience- there wasn''t a vast difference in ability between this second string and the 1st team
  9. YEA KELLY IS A DEFENDER - JUST COME BACK FROM MALTA WITH THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND - HE CAPTAINED THE SIDE TO QUALIFY FOR THE NEXT ELITE STAGES OF THE UNDER 19 EUROPEANS - IT SEEMS NORWICH HAVE USED HIM QUITE FREQUENTLY AS A STRIKER WHILE RENTON WAS OUT INJURED AND OF COURSE RENTON WAS TOO OLD TO PLAY LAST NIGHT - THE LAD''S VERSATILE -ALL POWER TO HIS ELBOW - WELL DONE MATE
  10. You are so right tht Roedant shouldn''t get any credit for any youth coming through. Idoubt he''s ever watched half of them - you can bet your sweet life he will be wanting to watch the game against Arsenal coming up soon - he''s only interested in Arsenal youth - I see he''s anxious to get more loanees from them as stated in the Pink''un!  I see the lad Reeves was given Man of the Match by Foncy but I do believe the pooor sod didn''t even get a scholarship - yep the Academy sure chews them up and spits em out - unless of course they come from Arsenal!
  11. I dont see Clarke in the same mould as Roeder- in fact I think if anything he''s held it together because Roeder is so useless - without him I think Roeder will struggle even more and I really think it''s time for a change.  Roeder has no man management skills- that is so obvious the way he publicly slates individual players - he should look to Harry Redknap to see how you get the best out of a player.  What he has done at Tottenham in the last few weeks working with the same players proves that there are ways to get the best out of your players with a pat on the back - you don''t have to ball out players -I honestly believe that Roeder has lost the dressing room and the sooner he goes the better
  12. I think I''m right in saying that Kelly hasn''t even been given a pro contract -which I must say I find puzzling Adeyjami is only a fist year scholar but he and Smith are being talked about the the next bit thing for the club.  What happened to Lathorpe -Foncy player of the year - strange workings within the Academy I feel.  Maybe Kelly will go the same way his brother went last season -seems to me that the whole structure of the Academy is lacking - why do other teams'' youth get the nod over our own?
  13. I certainly agree with you.  Did anyone see the write up in the EDP about Kelly.  He''s just captained the Republic of Ireland Under19''s in the European championshops and appears to have equipped himself well -oh but then I forgot - he''s from Norwich youth and not Arsenal''s - how silly of me!
  14. I did hear that there was a reserve game last night - does anyone know against who and wot the team selection was and wot the result was.
